As i said before i tend to stick with Youtube as i have enough content there to keep me occupied and if i watch any Twitch content it's usually VODs or Clips on their youtube archives. I've been following VShojo and some of the others that 「Echo」 mentions like that for the last few years. I rarely watch Twitch, most of the time i just watch a different 'Tuber or a VOD if there's a scheduled Twitch stream.

I suppose i should look into the Twitch Prime free sub as i've been a Prime member for years but i don't think i've ever used it. Same with the free Prime games. I keep forgetting about them.

I have a ton of youtube subscriptions but only 3 memberships AZKi, Sana and Amiya from Tsunderia. When Pina finally gets her Membership i'll join her too. Although, I have been thinking of having a "floating" membership fund where i join and cancel Membership to a different VTuber each month but i'm not sure about that. Aside from that if i were to membership a 5th/6th Youtuber it would be someone with an EU friendly streaming time like Kiara. I don't have many other monthly subs which is why i don't mind subbing to some channels.

I watch so much Youtube that Youtube Premium would actually be worth it if it gives positive benefits to the streamers i watch. hmmm.

I haven't watched KSON regularly in a couple of weeks. Does she still have the hardcoded machine translation TTS overlay? It was one reason i started to drift away as i found it distracting and an absolute train wreck of a translation so i would wait for clips as i couldn't hide it.

I prefer watching on youtube over twitch by far, I find twitch a pain for vods (plus the twitch app in my TV doesn't even allow to watch vods at all)...

On another note, Pekora's new 3D model is a huge improvement over her previous one, her expressions always felt kinda off to me in her previous 3D model.

Sumi's ASMR stream yesterday was a wild ride. Started out as expected just chatting about things and how our day went etc then she started reminiscing, told some family stories, we got onto myspace and seananners/nyanners discussion then someone in chat made a joke about sliding into DMs which ended up with chat asking a cryptobro to clear his twitter handle so we could use it, then a discord RP between the guy in chat and Sumi via all sorts of tangents. ASMR went out the window pretty early on. Sumi realised the stream would get archived pretty damned quickly because she was singing and humming a song during it. Luckily YTArchive to the rescue.

edit: Wow, Sumi has opened a twitter Space and is chatting with us. I'm not logged in so i'm just listening as a guest but wow. It's mad. I think she's going to miss streaming and chatting with us, bless.

An ARK expansion map came out 1 month ago, I guess they're playing because of that.

Yura plays on kson's server too so she sometimes can drag ryugon and pikamee to play even though not particularly collabs. I watch all the pikamee ARK streams but wish they'd be more spaced out over the past month or two especially since it was the holidays. Ryugon literally played 40+ hours of it in one go over the new year's week with some collab with Pika/kson. Now more people are playing it, lol.

MilkyQueen has been doing this for ages and was the VTuber that Calli realy likes and they did a karaoke collab with in august.
Obake PAM i know, she's fun and a little unhinged. Sings really well and plays flute.
Aka is Obake PAM's colleague and is pretty good.
Girl_DM - i know from some collabs with Phase Connect and Obake PAM and some other things that i can't remember at the moment.
Merrydawg and LumiTuber i've seen a few times and they've done collabs. Merrydawg is behind the Merryweather art stuff but i'm not really familiar tbh.

The rest i have probably seen in big indie collabs but they don't come to mind. There's a group of about 30-40 indie or small agency vtubers that have a sort of collab group going on and there's a bunch that collab together more than others but they regularly get together in mega collabs like this. It's great to see tbh.

Should be a good lively tournament.

There's a TON going on this weekend! Sheesh.

No but Sumi's guerilla Twitter Space meetup yesterday sounded compressed and clipped too. It's heavily dependant on people's hardware and connection i suppose. I imagine they've dropped the quality for bandwidth and battery reasons too as it's limited on PCs and only fully featured on phones at the moment isn't it?

I don't have twitter open or many followers setup so i'll miss all these Spaces meets. Not that it matters as i can't speak or understand japanese anyway.

Youtube definitely has better VoD but I think I like Twitch better for live. Easier interactions and rewards. In the end though, there are streamers I enjoy on both so I'll continue to use both as needed. Just maybe give live priority to Twitch, because Twitch VoD sucks a bit.

With regards also to some of the talk from before, I didn't realize Pikamee was on Youtube first than switch to Twitch and splits the fanbase like that. (Especially memberships.) ... Yeah that is a tough one for sure. I can see why folks would be feeling uncomfy with it. And with Kson splitting across 3, that sounds even worse.

Wanna touch on some more various things later in this thread... But before it leaves my brain I'll get this one out quickly.

Selen is on Twitch right now, blowing off some steam after her Apex tourny. (It was stressful and didn't go well, she was really down.)
But she is doing ok now and having fun. Uhm, Twitch folks asked her about "Emotes when" and she mentioned after she crashes Mysta's Apex stream tomorrow (he will be on YT, but Selen will do her PoV on Twitch) she will be applying for Partnership on Twitch and is telling her users to ready their subs/Twitch prime.

So I wonder if she too will be doing some more Twitch activity... Afaik, her Twitch activity until this point has mostly been guerilla Apex stuff.

I saw her Youtube post about being unhappy with her performance and deleting the VOD if the community wanted her to.
Cheer up, Selen. Everyone has their off days and you'll bounce back in no time.

As for Twitch, it wouldn't surprise me if she doesn't stream there more often. Quite a few Youtube streamers are spreading out to Twitch and vice-versa.
If your agency is fine with it, why not? They have a different focus and a different chat culture so why not experience both?
Some followers will watch both and some will stay on Youtube/Twitch and some will mix and match as they are able to.

Yeah, despite my complaining about twitch, branching out to twitch is actually really good for them:

• Different audience that otherwise wouldn't have watched them on youtube
• Slightly different culture, you can tell from streamers getting more views with reaction videos/chitchat on twitch over youtube
• Old fans will follow them no matter they go, and double dipping
• More exposure (I keep seeing countless people just saying "wow you stream here?" on twitch, so they are doing a good job leading people to watch them, then there's also raids)
• Features like gift subs, people spend a lot on twitch because they now have somewhere to waste spend their money on to show support and also to give to the community, while Youtube is just stupid stickers and super chat
• Chat being a clutterfuck actually means they can be more detached and just do whatever they want, without feeling like they are really dealing with the same people all the time

Ah man, watching people play Skyrim always makes me wanna go play it again too. But then I remember how long it would take to set up all the mods again and usually that's enough for me to nope out again lol. I already gave that game a thousand or so hours across various platforms... But still, the allure is always there.

I went back over Christmas because Special Edition (SE) & Anniversary Edition (AE) were on sale and i haven't played it for years.
For the most part modding AE is super simple now and many mods are compatible or have been ported. There was even a new app released on Nexus a day ago that manages rollback of AE to SE if your modlist isn't compatible.

Once i manually installed SKSE I used a mod to control which Creative Club content i wanted and that was going to be it.
Then Dummyy contacted me and it spiraled from there , ha.
I made a copy of my Steam Skyrim install and point Mod Organiser 2 & LOOT at it to manage the rest of my super simple mods.
I use SkyUI, KVite Simple Start as they don't need USSEP and are great QOL mods. Now i've installed RaceMenu a preset face and some standalone follower characters. I'm thinking of trying some lighting mods too but i'm not sure which version i need so i just play the game now.

Wabbajack looks to be the tool people are using to install and organise HUGE modlist packages.

On Topic erm... Silvervale from VShojo has a Modlist Google Doc on her Skyrim page with over 700 mods on it. Luckily they're organised into categories too so you can easily pick and choose what you want. Top right button on this page:
