:cold-sweat: I meant, is the anime of Fate Grand/Order good?
Oh. lol.
Absolutely. All of them are top-tier budget wise and it shows.

The only problem is their ties to the game and they don't really give you a lot of back-story to go on. They're absolutely products meant for the game crowd first and foremost, with a secondary intention to drag yet more souls into the money machine.

They keep making more too. Not just Babylon was animated, but Camelot got two movie adaptations and Solomon was turned into a movie also.

My Dress-Up Darling (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo suru) is good. It's as charming as the manga and definitely meets my expectation. Definitely check it out if you're even just remotely interested in the world of cosplay (and romance).

I really like the manga, so I'm excited to get started. Letting episodes build up a bit as I rather watch a few back to back. From the trailers, it looks like the style of the manga were brought over to the anime pretty well.

Cloverworks did pretty well for the first episode, but they also have two other anime this season whose names escaped me, so hopefully, they won't compromise on quality by much for later episodes.

My Dress-Up Darling , Akebi's Sailor Uniform, and Tokyo 24th Ward, from these 3, I've heard that Tokyo 24 is the one that is suffering the most production wise.

Huh... Tokyo 24th ward? Any relation to The Silver Case/25th Ward by Grasshopper games and the "wards" from there?

Also, would you guys consider "RWBY" to be anime? :thinking-face: More, would anyone actually consider RWBY worth watching? 8 Seasons is steep...

Just finished Castlevania animation season 3, the sex scenes at the end were really odd, not because of the sex, but I felt like the two arcs were dragging on for them to include such a scene in the finale, I know they're probably to set up the story arc for S4, I still don't see them contribute much in the grand theme of things, other than giving Alucard some minor character development. Well it wasn't bad but ultimately feel like an overly long season with a weird focus.

My wife was free and I couldn't wait, so we watched Sono Bisque Doll. I remember the scene where Kitagawa goes off on that dude for making fun of her interest being a little bit more impactful in the manga, but everything was pretty good.

Alrighty updated watchlist:

RWBY: 0/106
Attack on Titan: 4/?? (Starting from the beginning for maximum hype!)
Monogatari: Bake 6/15
Castlevania: 0/?? (Gotta figure out where to watch?)
Lord El-Melloi II Case Files: Rail Zeppelin Grace Note: 0/13 + 2 Specials
Wonder Egg Priority: 11/12 + Special (Almost done!)

Well quite a bit of options on my plate. Too many interests, but i think i can manage slow and steady.

Dress Up Darling #2 was a lot of fun. Although, they seem to dial the fanservice exponentially higher with jiggle physics and whatnots. :flare_lmao:

Also, I caved and bought the 4K HDR version of Ghost In the Shell. This is the 3rd time I bought this film. :flare_woozy:

My Eva box is here!

Good news: It's huge! The HD transfer looks great in OLED.
Bad News: The box is slightly damaged during transit. There's a small tear on the bottom left corner The outer box packaging material was slightly damp for some reason, although the box itself is dry.

Time to complain to Alltheanime folks to see whether I can get a replacement, I guess.

Okies, big sigh moment. Been putting it off for a while now, but finally last night i finished Wonder Egg Priority and it's special 13th Episode.

It's great. You have a lovely cast of characters, each with their own set of problems and drama. You get invested. The production value is insanely good. Beautiful animation and style, popping colors, great soundtrack and art direction. And there is always just enough mystery per episode to keep you hooked and guessing.

The story is heavy, and there is a lot to deal with. Philosophy, Self-Harm, Motivation... Tbh, as it built up and the story reached it's peaks I thought to myself very often that maybe this could be the next Madoka moment for anime. Uhm, unfortunately, the anime severely unravels in it's last 2 Episodes + Special. It's like... they tried to cram all their ideas and answers in the last little bits and it just wasn't enough time to do it properly or expand on any of the new concepts and characters introduced.

... And than at the end, it really really "jumps the shark." Without spoilers it's hard to describe. But it really is a trainwreck and it's so sad to see. Because you really did have the making of something extraordinary here....

Sad to see. I went into it knowing the ending was super hated on, and well now I know why.... So yeah. But well, I am glad i watched it still at least.
Hektor (Since you were interested in how I'd react.)

.... This is actually a hard choice. They're all beautiful. 😓
I'm honestly surprised Attack on Titan isn't here though. I thought Mappa did a great job, but maybe folks forgot since it was so early in 2021.

I was really impressed by Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S and the prequel. Haven't watched the other titles yet :anguished-face:

Of those 6, I've seen WEP, Demon Slayer, and Mushoku Tensei.

I saw Kobayashi S1 but haven't advanced from there. But honestly, KyoAni doesn't have any bad animations in their portfolio.

Tried to sit down and vote myself there, but the categories go forever and tbh? It's like the same 6 choices over and over. Was 2021 really so barren for "good" anime?

I was confused about the "cour 2" in Jujutsu Kaisen, but after looking it up, I guess it means the next 10-12 episodes of the season. If that's the case, then I've watched it and would rank Kobayashi above it.

Holy shit

Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer anime adaption out of nowhere?
Feels cheap to just casually announce the AOTY this early in the year (I joke, but the manga is legit - hopefully the adaption will be good)

Can we get Spirit Circle and Sengoku Youko next please

Not too confident in the Staff announced thus far. But what a blast from the past that is. It's been like what.... 10 or 11 years since the manga ended? o_O

RWBY dropped. I don't really like it... So new progress list.

Mushoku Tensei S2: 5/12
Attack on Titan: 17/?? (Starting from the beginning for maximum hype!)
Monogatari: Bake 8/15
Castlevania: 0/?? (Gotta figure out where to watch?)
Lord El-Melloi II Case Files: Rail Zeppelin Grace Note: 0/13 + 2 Specials

Comfy version of Girls Frontline?
The project centers on autonomous mechanical dolls, or automata. They work at Kuronekotei, a coffee shop that sits at the corner of the fifth district of the imperial capital. However, they were originally made as weapons for a great war that ended a few years ago. Now, they have been restored and dressed in shiny kimonos.
Prima Doll, Original Anime by Key x Bibury Animation, 2022
Automata Machine Dolls Post War work at a cafe for a new purpose. Music Genre involved.
Main Cast Left to Right:
Retzel: Kito Akari (Kaho, Nezuko)
Comet: Yuki Nakashima (Lisa in Bang Dream)
Cherry Blossom: Azumi Waki (Maika, Kusue)
Crowfeather: Tomori Kusunoki (Misha, Latifa)
Moonlight: Miyu Tomita (Miko, Rizu)

Rice ball is one of my favorite Japanese food. So affordable (one costs less than 1 us dollar), tasty and there are tons of variety. I had them daily when I was living in Japan.

Yeah he does. Also the preview of next episode is horrifying. Honestly this and the last episode are nightmare fuel as well. Is this show really for kids? :ROFLMAO:
Yeah, things certainly get horrifying at times. Though I guess usually no one actually gets "hurt" at the end. Though... that's not always true anymore :grimacing-face:

Yeah... The mentality of these three kids are stronger than adults. Normal people would have gotten PTSD after experiencing these events haha.

Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 is so far an actual masterpiece, just like Part 1.

Can't believe the show is at that point for me, after i thought the initial first season was overrated as fuck when every fucking rando was like "YOU HAVE TO WATCH AOT BRO! WIR SIND DIE JÄGER BRO! IHR SEID DAS ESSEN BRO!"

But for reals, the final season is weirdly rough in some sports, but despite that, it's a banger with every new episode drop.

Yup, I'm right there with you. For Part 2, I've restarted the series from the beginning (currently at Episode 29). And honestly you notice so much hints and foreshadowing... It's quite insane. I really wonder how many of the twists and turns were planned Vs. asspulled at times of convenience.

Easily the most I've been impressed by a series (as a whole) since... probably Evangelion or Madoka.

In the beginning I too rolled my eyes and thought this latest shounen hypetrain was overrated but yeah... what a turn around. :fingergunsblob:

As far as i heard, the anime moved some foreshadowing stuff around in accordance with the manga author to "fix" mistakes-

But yea, it's fascinating how the show went from a decent but generic shonen to an
amazing war anime with a dozen different factions and characters, all with enough background and motivations while feeling so coherent
.
Especially because the action scenes themselfs are still top notch.

Ah man. Episode 12 of Bakemonogatari always gets me a bit choked up. I'm such a sucker for sappy romance. :cat-heart-blob:
Even though this must be my 3rd or 4th time watching it.... I love these characters.
