This fun "deckbuilder" game, with a musical theme, and plenty of multiplayer modes (both co-op and PVP) launched on Early Access a couple of days ago.
The game is quite charming, the soundtrack (mostly indie/power pop music) is quite catchy, and to continuously engage players, the game has seasons, which will provide new content and new unlockables (the first one is now on).

He is one of my favorite indie developers The convenience store game was a great game, I enjoyed it a lot. Anybody knows what happened to Jimmu?. It looks like it was released and delisted very soon after release.

It looks like it isn't available , is there a way to get a Steam key somewhere?. It's the only game I miss to complete my Chilla's Art collection.

Guys, I want your opinion about building a PC right now. The prices of gpus are finally plummeting after 2 years, and the rtx 3000 and rx 6000 series are finally getting close to MSRP. I currently have a gtx 1080 and a ryzen 5 3600, which doesn't run every game at 144op and 60fps but it's still a serviceable setup. Would you buy a GPU once it hits MSRP (hopefully in the next couple of weeks) or would you wait for Q2 o Q3 when the new rtx 4000 and rx 7000 series finally hit the stores? (there are rumors of the rtx 4070 being 30% faster than the 3090)
I'm waiting for the next round.
For one, I don't think the current cards will hit consistent MSRP, though there might be deals that get close. Secondly, my money situation should be a bit better when the next cards come about. Thirdly, I prefer to get a new card at the start of the generation if possible. Fourthly, I've waited for so long now anyway, what's a few more months.

I'm also curious where exactly Intel will land with their cards and at what price, and also curious if AMD's RT performance catches up to Nvidia in any significant way.

I always try to just talk vidya gaems in relevant boards but those pretending they "don't want politics in vidya gaems" also seem to make it the hardest. I just got banned on gaf (again) for calling this out. I first got a warning for this, 3 negative or whatever points and barred from the thread, then I got silently banned and the post's history negated after I edited it saying a mod hiding behind "moderation team" also got triggered and censors me and others who mostly just talk vidya gaems yet allows these "banned" politics (I guess they closed the politics board because it'd be all too obvious how bigoted some of them are than any other reason, but allow it to leak everywhere) they agree with encouraging posts pretending to believe the story in order to push a narrative and agenda and just generalize over it rather than treat it as just one weird story, linking to specific examples like this about a "gaystapo" and these proclaiming they're oh so progressive they are willing to allow LGBTQ folks to "pretend" they have civil rights/human dignity and are only against them taking over, like it's a thing!🤦‍♂️

Well I was banned from there just for opposing to Sony's policies on anime games and saying I enjoy Senran Kagura games.
I'm amazed that site still exists and even more astonished big videogame companies take that site as general mass media opinion when nobody who play games gives a fuck about what that political site says.

I must say that i am not enjoying Hellblade. Combat is too simple and limited, game is too linear and overall there is a lot of repetition. I understand that this was smaller project but it could have ben better. I will need to push myself to finish it to be honest.
I felt the same. It's weird that so much effort was made to create such a good looking game, while the combat and repetitive puzzles are so underwhelming. I'm curious if the sequel will be better with Microsoft financing the development.

I'm 99% sure that game was never released on Steam.
It used to have a 2020 date on the store (well after 2020), then it changed to TBA, and now there's no release date there.

Checking SteamDB, I don't see any info about it ever being released, just multiple updates in terms of tags/release date.

I hope you're right, would worry me I couldn't get the game xD but I don't get why somebody replied other member on discussion section that it was released and then delisted. I guess it was just assumptions.

Yeah, GAF is trash. Has been for years.
I'm still super creeped out by the way the owner's entire attitude basically changed overnight. I'm not sure if he was being a hypocrite prior or just adapted to protect his income but it gave off huge sociopath vibes.

Also pretty disappointed that jshackles opted to remain there. Now that I think about it, does anyone actually know why?

He heel turned pretty hard as far as im aware. Went full blown alt-right nutjob based on some of his gaf posts since the era migration.

Can we not talk about gaf here? Gaf belongs in the past, leave it there.
It turned into a hellhole pretty fast after the exodus, why would anyone even go there anymore?
And to be completely honest I find it hella sus if anyone still associates with that place in some way. So like, if you are still in some gaf related steam group or something, it might be time consider pruning your groups a little.

Food for thought.

I built an entirely new machine last january, with the exception of a new GPU - I plan to wait out the rx6000 pricing or rx700 launching and hopefully not having as bad of supply issues, whichever happens first. I would push your setup a lot further if I were you, live the medium settings lifestyle. If youre only gaming for the bleeding edge it's already passed you by, just enjoy what you can squeeze out of it. Your current setup is way more modern than mine was when I pulled the trigger (i5 3xxx, 16gb ddr3, gtx 970 strix) and I gave it up mostly to give my wife her own dedicated computer so we could game together

If it's just a fps-to-settings issue, I'd hold out and spend the cash on the next wave of cpu/gpus, to get the most out of your money. Then again, if you have the cash, wait a few more months and GPUs will be in a much better value proposition.

I totally forgot I may be part of some groups on steam. I should rectify that.

As i said few pages ago, if you start looking where every penny of your money goes, you will end up living very miserable life. From child/slave labor used for many of clothes we wear to a-hole bosses in entertainment. In reality only thing we should do is raise awareness to these things and then governments should take over and deal with it.

Im sad for all the Russians on Steam who can't buy a lot of games now because pubs like EA, Humble, 2K, CapCom has disabled purchasing of their games in Russia. Lots of Russians who has nothing to do with the invasion are getting affected by it.

I expect the pubs to re-enable purchasing whenever the war is over, cause they of course don't wanna miss out on a big region like Russia, but still.

Never played Fallout 3 with mods before, so I installed it and got some mods running. Now managing the mods with Vortex, I am very surprised by how smooth and easy the process is compared with my experience with FOMM on New Vegas 7 or 8 years ago.

Finished Hellblade, really didn't like it. They managed to make 6-7h game overstay it's welcome by making you fight same enemies with same move set over and over again and solving same simple puzzles over and over again. Add to that fairly slow movement even when running, some sections close to end where you fight wave after wave of enemies and you get frustrating game too. And that whole thing about 20 devs making game resulted in like 10 minutes of credits so yeah way more than 20 people participated in development.

Yeah I did not like Hellblade, and I’m not saying that in a “I don’t see the fuss it’s a bit overrated” kind of way like some other popular AAAs I’ve mentioned recently

it’s very pretty but has bad combat, bad puzzles, very slow, and pretends to have something to say for itself but it really doesn’t outside “poor mental health is bad”
I appreciate that last point may sound harsh but as someone who has battled with long term depression I can assure I’m not hitting at it from some “anti woke” pov nonsense

I wonder if Core Keeper passed 500k sales yet.

Edit: I just realized P4U didn't make the top 10 at all and WWE did. Oof.
They haven't announced anything just yet but it's quite possible.

Also yeah, sad for P4UA but expected, this isn't what most people wanted and there's quite a difference in base price between WWE and P4UA, also, there are probably more WWE fans out there than Persona fighting fans

Does anyone know what the difference between #1 and #8 is?

Near the 200h mark in Pathfinder and I think I'm beginning to hate it. Some companion quest was going and I was, my dude, I don't care anymore, you insufferably bloated game. It's an excellent game for the first 150h, then it just doesn't stop.
I'm at chapter 5 of 7 :astonished-face:

Fans of classic (non-bullet hell) shmups should keep an eye on Japanese developer TERARIN GAMES.
His output is really, really good, especially if you like "caravan" shmups like Soldier Blade and Super Star Soldier. He even includes a caravan mode in pretty much all his games (except Gemini Arms, since that one is a twin stick vertical shooter).
Sadly, despite the good reviews by fans of the genre, not many people seem aware of his work.

His last two games are:

Raging Blasters, a game that feels a lot like a Star Soldier spiritual successor. It's fast and fun as hell, and a really newbie friendly shmup (I finished the game in one credit on Normal in my first try).
The soundtrack is very impressive, and you even have an option of playing either the "normal" soundtrack, or a chiptune arrangement.

---

Moon Dancer feels like another TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine era shmup, with a heavy focus on lock-on mechanics.
Once again, like other titles from TERARIN GAMES, you have a caravan mode, and 2 soundtrack options (original arrangements or chiptune arrangements).
The trailer below has the chiptune version (since it was the only trailer for the game that was in English on Youtube). Check Steam or Youtube for the other version, featuring the original soundtrack.

---

And, later this year, he is releasing:

---

You can find a list of his games at:

What's a PS5/XSX HDMI 2.1 cable that you guys recommend?

I'm going to be getting the LG C1 coon

Thanks for the recommendation NarohDethan

I'm most likely going to use my PS5 with it since I hardly ever touch the thing and this was I can at least try some of the stuff that the TV will offer.
------
I could use the HDMI that came with the PS5 but I would rather not since I have it attached to my AV receiver in my room and if rather not disconnect that since it will be a big hassle to connect again. This way I can just move the PS5 itself and not have much issues.

Guilty Gear Strive had some big announcements.

Cross-play between Steam and PSN incoming.
Season 2 confirmed.

And the final season 1 character revealed:

The redesign looks dope, their mechanics look way less obnoxious than they were back in +R, and Testament is now non-binary with they/them pronouns, which I think is a great bit of representation. Strive's future is looking good.

G-Darius HD is finally releasing on Steam later this month, on March 30th/31st.

The Steam version will include the additions that will be added to the console versions through a patch (which will increase the number of playable versions included from 2 to 5; the original release had G-Darius and G-Darius HD; after this patch/Steam release, there's 3 more: G-Darius Ver.2, G-Darius Ver.2 HD, and G-Darius for consumer, a port of the original console versions featuring a few extra options).

On top of that, the Steam version will include Steam-exclusive features, among those a mode called "G Darius Exhibition", which will have a couple of boss fights presented in widescreen.

Here's a screenshot showcasing this Steam-exclusive mode:

And you can check a trailer for the Steam version (temporarily removed from the Steam page, since the release details are yet to be formally announced) at the following link:

---

If you like the game (personally, I love it; the Darius series is a personal favourite of mine) or genre, do consider supporting this release.
Taito, and M2 (who is handling this release, like they did with Darius Cozmic Collection Arcade), have been making a genuine effort with their recent Steam releases (all of them have added Steam-exclusive features/modes), and sadly sales appear to have been poor so far. :(

Hopefully things will be a bit better sales-wise with this release, to ensure we continue to get these classic arcade ports, with "lavish" M2 treatment, on PC/Steam. :cat-heart-blob:
