I wish.

Pokemon Yellow was my first and favorite GBC game. Recently I started Ultra Moon on my 3DS cuz when I was moving I only really felt like playing portable games at the days end, it's okay, and character customization is a guilty pleasure, but man some of these newer designs... 😬
Pokemon yellow was for boys, Pokemon blue was for MEN.
Last one i played was pearl and i honestly never had the impression i was missing much.
Will most likely buy the new switch one tho.

Pokemon Black and White were the last really good Pokemon games.

X/Y were okay but disappointing. Sun/Moon were hot garbage.

X/Y was about the time I started bouncing off of Pokemon games. I never managed to finish those are any of the following entries. I'm afraid that Sword and Shield will be a lot like Sun and Moon, but we will see. Not having to play on a 3DS is a huge selling point for me.

Not sure if you're counting the sequels with the originals, but Black and White 2 were fairly solid from what I remember.

It's also the one time they tried adding difficulty settings, and in typical Game Freak fashion, dropped the settings along with a number of other QoL features in future games.

You could always try playing on PC, Citra runs surprisingly well on most titles.

Ever since I updated Windows (10) Xbox controller w/ Wireless adapter randomly disconnects and reconnects. Googling around (+ an Era post I read) reveals that the culprit is Steam of all things.

Exiting Steam, booting the controller, and then restarting Steam seemingly stops the erratic/bad behavior. Weird stuff, and I hope MS can fix it. These are the kinda glitches that should get noticed in QA if they really wanna help out PC gaming.

Literally everyone has Steam so come the heck on MS.

I got banned too. Because I made a "joke" apparently? There is some story about Uber but for kids? I wasn't joking at all when I said that it's basically a pedophile delivery service. Who would think that shit's a good idea in the slightest? But whatever.

Like they surprised dtopped Metal Fatigue on Steam without any fanfare, what else could those mad geniuses be doing?

Finally got to sit down for a good hour and a half with LEFT ALIVE. It's rough, really rough. And I'm tremendously sad that it appears to be abandon ware, without even a single patch since release (even on PS4) despite so many issues.

... Yet it has some charms. I am reminded of Drakengard 3/NieR. Where critics and onlookers couldn't get past the obvious issues to find the beauty underneath. That said, I don't really expect a Yoko Taro quality story to back this game up but still... I can't help but hope and believe there is something in here to like.

And screw everyone who compared the games graphics to PS3 level stuff. I'm playing at 4K on a mix of Ultra/High and it easily stands with other current gen games. The problem is, it's so poorly optimized you need an absolute beast of a PC to get it there. :p Personally I settled for a 30FPS lock via RTSS, the in-game limiter is kinda bad...

The best thing about emulating the games is being able to speed them up.

I emulated my copy of Ruby in some GBA thing years ago, and I don't think I've ever fully recovered from being able to beat the game in like 1/2 the IRL hours because I had the game on 2X speed.

lashman Monthly Challenge done, still need all Skills achievement and game is 100%.. Grind is real.
Let's talk about how satisfying it was when you deflect guardian ape. God damn, when I saw him raise that thing all the way in the air I was like "oh shit." When he finally slammed it down, that clang was the most satisfying sound effect in the entire game.

Can you even beat the first Far Cry 1?

Because I could eliminate the first encampment and then that gunboat would always kill no matter what I tried.

Sekiro is what I always imagined a fun dark souls being like. Fast paced and a lot more skill focused than side stepping around everything and hitting it from behind. I hope they never go back to that ridiculously slow and janky combat.

Yeah Sekiro is a blast to play, for souls I only finished 1, couldn't get into the rest. (well actually I've only tried 2, after restarting like 10 times it just wouldn't click with me).

Also I found guardian ape so god damn boring to fight, it moves around too much and took little damage, felt like it took forever, I roll my eyes everytime it moves away after each combo, second phase was better and probably quicker too. The other bosses were hype though, except for the headless, I haven't bothered with those.

Also most of the normal enemies are fun to fight in this game.

i like both the dark souls and sekiro styles, but i feel sekiro's might last me quite a lot less since it doesn't have different weapons or playstyles to try out, and while you can do things out of order there doesn't seem to be much of a point to it

i think what i want out of from is to keep trying fun new stuff and being surprising. i think sekiro really represents what i want from to do perfectly, do something creative both in gameplay and storytelling that still feels distinctly theirs

I'm think it's my bank that takes 1 euro whenever there is a conversation, no matter how small... Thought it was something humble had started with. I kind of remember asking about it before and think someone said humble had recently started with it. But yeah pretty sure it's my bank. Those one dollar bundles don't seem as worth it anymore.

Could use an intermediary payment mechanism to avoid that (perhaps). Like putting one euro on your Paypal account and then letting them handle the conversion rather than your bank.

As I'm currently enjoying my first Borderlands playthrough (20+ hours and counting), I've been thinking of picking up Borderlands the Handsome Collection now. I already have the base game of BL1 and BL2, so it'll be quite an upgrade especially for my BL2 playthrough after I'm done with the first one.

May I suggest Revolut? It's a Paypal alternative. You can add funds to it. Not sure if you still have to pay your bank's fee. But if it's a fixed fee then you could add a larger sum to it.

Really tempted to pick up the Ace Attorney Trilogy when it comes out. I already played them in High School, but since I'm playing DGS at the moment, I'm feeling myself in the mood for a replay.

My bank does too, but I pay through Paypal these days and there is no such fee.

I think Humble used to charge in euros and they now charge in USD.

I've been the whole weekend without internet (to my own surprise they came to fix it yesterday but alas it won't be fixed until at least this afternoon) I tried to follow everything that was going on but doing it from mobile was a pain so I ended up playinh Sekiro.

I think I should be able to finish the game this week I only have a few bosses left 1 mandatory and 2 optional.

Kenshi seems pretty cool but I can't get past my initial disappointment when I first saw the game many years ago and I too found the similarities to Mount & Blade super exciting but then found out it's more tactical point & click rather than incorporate a cool systemic combat system like M&B too. Unfair but yeah :p

I don't have Sekiro but it looks like replayability is a bit thin compared to Dark Souls games, I know there are like 4 different endings, but 95% of the game will be the same.
I watch some guys on youtube and twitch that were deep into Dark Souls, playing the game over and over with different builds, and now on Sekiro their only alternative after finishing the game once is to speedrun, quite a change from their previous videos (guys are very concentrated to break times, with very poor interaction with their viewers compared to Dark Souls days). Game is still hype but I don't think it will last as long as Dark Souls on streams (WR speedrun is already around 33mns).

Yeah I should start with PayPal again, but I have a new phone number and new country and seems to be such a hassle to change all that.XD
Edit: Oh I can't even change stuff like that, just have to close old and make a new one.

Will look into Revolut also!
