Which one
Owl (Father) in the flashback

I have most of the patterns down now. One attack still gives me problems but a few more hours of banging my head against it and I should get it down. Another problem is that if I fuck up once I crumble.

Found through ERA: Dangerous Driving review - a pared-back thrill

"the soundtrack, ingeniously, is handed over to Spotify"

The ingenuity, wow, praise them. Note that Spotify is integrated into the PS4's and X1's OS', so you can do this in every game, the music doesn't interact in any way with what's going on either way. I like how the comments call the review out for being biased because they're all British though.

What I also found on ERA is a thread about that ex-Valve guy's tweets. 6 pages of pain, then closed.

Ohhhh. James is an ass, and we won't be working with him again. Same dude?
Some folks are still trying to spin it as a positive, it blows my mind. No wonder why companies do whatever the fuck they feel like.

That was my first thought as well when I read it. It's amazing how journalists can turn shitty things into something positive with these kind of spins.

"the cloud saves, ingeniously, are handed over to Dropbox"

You see, there's actually nothing wrong with Epic's store 🤭

Well since I "upgrade" to Windows 10 build 1809, my xbox controllers have been wonky. So I'm trying to learn Kb+Mouse for R6 Siege and it's really really hard after 143 levels of Controller only use. o_O

I feel like my sensitivity has been jacked up to 100%. And everything feels twitchy and jerky. There is no such thing as smooth movement with a mouse? I feel all jittery like my operator just drank a whole pot of coffee in seconds lmao.

I do see why it's the preferred control method but heck... it's gonna take another 143 levels just to get used to it huh?

That is greatly satisfying too but let's not forget the real MVP, lightning reversal.. Jesus that is most satisfying thing I've ever done.

lashman sleeping, add my name to OP already! I demand fame and glory.
Oh yeah, it made the final phase of the last boss a joke. He made his own damned life melt away.

James "James is an ass" Harding is a Dota 2 guy, unless I missed something, he doesn't have anything to do with recent news.

What everyone should talk about is Steam's terrible integrated music player. I bought a bunch of sountracks lately to 'complete' games, like a few minutes ago The Messenger (yes, giving Devolver some money, even a few Cent, hurt my soul now) but listening to them is cumbersome to the max. Many soundtracks are tagged badly which will always cause issues but there must be a better way.

Turn the DPI of your mouse down in the driver or something. Or the sensitivity in game. Shouldn't feel jerky and jittery. Well, or your mouse might be crap. Old laser mice are the worst.

Someone needs to make a thread over at ERA about the lack of leaderboards on the PC version. Would love to see the new justifications of EGS defenders
Especially the ones that said the exclusive deals would result in bigger, better games 👀

I have Logitech G603 so I hope it's not a crap mouse problem. My DPI can be controlled with a button on top, and it's definitely insanely high. (I keep it on it's highest level which is 12k DPI I think, cuz I use a 55-inch 4K TV as monitor and a slow mouse takes forever to cross from one side to other it seems...) I suppose I could try turning the DPI down just for Siege and other FPS in the future.

Maybe de or reactivate mouse acceleration and push the DPI down.
Whenever i got a new mouse it's a bit of trial and error to find the ideal settings.

Steam has a music player? I've always been using the soundtracks by moving them from the games directory to my music folder and just listened to them with other music players.

Haha, definitely, still found it really cool to be able to do that, game went full anime on those fights.

The fuck. I almost want to see a video of you trying to play a game like that. Even for 4K that's friggin insane. And at that point even the best sensor needs to interpolate. I'm sweating here right now. Try 3200DPI.

After taking a look in the Logitech software, it seems my highest DPI was 4800 lol. :p

The sensor is capable of 12k, but as you say it's uh... insane.

So I setup 5 new presets: 800, 1450, 2500, 3500, and 4000. Guess I'll have to play around and figure what is best for me.

I game at 800 dpi @ 1080p. 12k would kill me.

I'm at 1600 for 1080p which is considered high, many 'pros' go lower because in general lower is always better for your aim but you of course have to move the mouse more and need a bigger mousepad to compensate.

I hope Valve improves the music player with the upcoming update.
Can't they just remove it and soundtracks just open up the folder with the files? Their VR media player is absolute garbage too and fails to play 4K files (which is necessary for VR to look any good).

Is there even a way to download your soundtrack files without downloading the game? Last time I wanted to listen to an OST I owned, I'm fairly certain the client forced me to download the game as well.

I have now discovered Sekiro's easy mode; it's equivalent to trivialising boss encounters through methods like summoning or magic in previous games:

circle strafing

It's slow and not 'noble', but it's shockingly effective and still satisfying after hours of being stuck on a boss.

It all checks out. 🤔

I wanted to be the one to summon the lightning. Either way, it's funny that you just read a scroll that says "throw it back" and you can just do it. I love video game logic sometimes.

Y'know, the one thing I did dislike is that I felt almost every skill beyond the passive ones were useless. We had mirikiri, ichimoji, puppet, blood mist, air prosthetics, and... was there anything else you used during the game?

Nathan Grayson wrote this, and it seems to be a relatively fair assessment of the EGS situation, at least IMO.

LOL

this is the second Urban Trials... there was another one a few years ago.... its OK-ish...
cool .... could be cool for the "trials fix" until Rising finsihes the DLCs (still not sure about Rising as Fusion was quite messy with all the GAAAs industry bullshit and Rising seemed to doble down on that)

I think this last Trials game has some the best or most interesting levels in the series and the University of Trials stuff is excellent but everything else is such a mess that it’s a bummer. I just hopw they patch it for everyone else since I already unlocked the last set of levels.

And it easily has the dumbest loot boxes I’ve ever seen. Which thankfully means nobody should ever feel like they want to spend money on them.
