I am just so fucking tired of hearing about TLOU

And now I'm sitting looking at concept art for a MP game
And a talking shop for a tv adaptation of the first game
And a re-re-release of that same first game

and then you hear the comments for the game for 5 minutes straight even though nobody fucking cares
dont tell me it fucking ended with 10 m

it fucking ended with cocksucking tlou

what a letdown, honestly, unironically it started raining RIGHT after it ended here outside

it ended with cocksucking TLOU as if the pimp paid extra for the hooker in las vegas which i mentioned earlier in my posts to give the BLT special service, and the entirety of today consisted of games i didn't care about, games i didn't like at all (WHAT THE FUCK IS THE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND MOVING CONTAINERS ON A SHIP, ACTIVISION??), and honestly, i spent most of my time watching youtube on my phone

we got no Overdose news, no Silksong, nothing at all of mention except for:
not one, not two, but more than three actors promoting their fucking series/movies, praising Neil as if he was the God of writing for doing a hole-in-one on the protagonist (if you get what i mean), and the exact moment SH2 had to start, my sister had to fucking ring the door so i had to sprint there, and believe me, there was not a louder "FUCK" uttered from my mouth than this exact moment

as predicted; this bingo has made me a bigger sucker, and i will proudly wear the dunce hat from Tom & Jerry for the rest of my fucking days for expecting something today, LORD JESUS

I think the show wasn't that bad. If TLoU didn't leak earlier it would have been even better.
i'd like to hire the guy you used for this

you know, to kill your expectations, i could really use him in this time of day

I listened/watched at work, but wasn't really paying attention fully and got interrupted a few times so I may have missed some stuff. Nothing terribly exciting, that I can remember anyway.

I do plan to play around with the Saint's Row character creator when I get home though.

You seem surprised. Did you forget which engine they used for SMT3 HD?

well unity seemed like a nobrainer for something like smt3hd, it was a remaster of a ps2 game

the fact that soul hackers 2 is made with unity scares me, not because of the quality, but because of the very possible chance that, if using unity does take off for some god forsaken reason, then atlus will use unity more, and this is what scares the absolute living shit out of me

Meh, it that means more PC games it's ok. They're turn based RPG not action games.

This is a controversial opinion, so I raise my flame shield, but I think TLoU isn't a good game. It has a great setting, fantastic characters, and interactions but the gameplay is not great. Despite wanting to see where the story goes, I was bored out of my mind by the middle of the game. I always thought this title would work better as a movie or a TV show and thankfully we are getting one.
I'm one of the few people who liked the combat, especially on high difficulty. This said, I played TLOU on PS3 but never bothered to play the remaster or sequel. But I probably will if they come to PC. 😊

The best part was when The Rock showed up in a pre-recorded video that he couldn't even be bothered to put on clothes for and then proceeded to try and sell an energy drink on one hand and his new movie on the other without giving one single solitary fuck about the actual purpose he was actually asked to make the video for.

No the best part is that dorito pope actually saw this utterly useless video and then decided to include it anyway.

Even more disappointing the CGI in Black Adam doesn't look really good imo. They still have post prod work to do and explains why the movie was delayed from July to Oct.

Maybe they came across some technical difficulties? Or decided to port the rest of the games too?
I don't really know, second one likely not as that would have delayed any movement, I could see it being announced tomorrow in EGS showcase but not being timed exclusive at all (but multistore)

You guys really need to temper your expectations in a post covid world.
I'm sick to death about hearing the covid fucked everything for the gaming industry excuse.

It hasn't effected gaming companies bottom line thats for sure. A deliberately slower dev cycle suits much of the game industry as they look to stretch out their existing games profitability-over-time in a far longer cycle.

Its their money generation activities at fault, with covid as the excuse.

I'm actually at least somewhat interested in principle in trying out The Last of Us, which isn't really the case for any of the other big Sony games. That said, I probably still won't get to it given all the other stuff I want to play, but at least there's a chance ;)

Other than that, well, I'm not surprised that the show was nothing.

I did not play part 2 and probably never will. I saw the story summary and was immensely disappointed, especially by the ending.
I sorta agree, I liked the game, but the gameplay itself wasnt much to write home about. i just liked the atmosphere, characters (well, most of them) and story, even tho it was super linear and if i was in charge of the flow, i wouldve made different choices, but i know thats not what this game is ... do you guys think that The Quarry will feature some actual freedom in changing the storyline? like, if i see a stupid trap from miles away, i would not go in, right? but lots of games force you to do just that, including TLOU.

Still waiting for the game people truly wants: Bloodborne PC.
I only "want" Bloodborne on PC so that the endless Bloodborne PC talks here can stop :p

damn I relate to this a little too much actually
yep same. those shows are just funny to snark at in Discord or sth.

Good thing that I slept through the whole thing (need to work today anyway). Never had much expectation, honestly. Going to watch some trailers tonight.
are you sure you're up for watching 5 minutes of trailers tonight, i'd rather just tune into yet another compilation of top gear like i've done for years now

Hey now... If I'm going to watch the Rock shill energy drinks and D-list superhero movies, I would prefer he not be wearing clothes.

Not just covid but I think the industry is in a creative slump right now.

The two biggest games of this months reveals will be RE4 and TLOU. Two games that have been remastered and now being remade lol. Then you have your Dead Space likes and Dead Space remaster....and your Silent Hill likes. You have your same old COD, Battle Royales and Destiny likes.

Indies are kind of carrying the industry right now but even indies are slow to release. People want a lot of content but it is summer and everything is slow for the AAA fans too.

I think Xbox will be the best showcase this week but even then they need to start releasing games instead of only announcing shit. I want to see concrete release dates for their stuff on sunday but I bet it will all be vague again full of cgi trailers.

I will definitely try TLOU once it is on PC. I've never played the original, so I need to see what the fuss is about.
Am in the same boat. Just not sure I'd pay full price for that experience. I'll probably wait until it hits something closer to 30€

Downunder.
The fact that I only had to scroll through 4 new pages instead of 10 tells me I made the right decision to not lose sleep over it. :flare_lmao:

So, everything was TLOU, huh. Man, the console makers' strategy of banking on past glories has been Nintendo's modus operandi ever since they were just making hanafuda cards, but at least Nintendo games has competent gameplay. TLOU, hovewer ony has paper-thin gameplay (if you can call it that)

It maybe has been 10 years since I played the original on PS3, but I remember groaning after the umpeteenth time I solved a platforming puzzle which involves Joel taking a ladder from one side of the screen to the next. That certainly got old fast. The heavily scripted encounters are largely a detriment as well. I remember disliking the fact that you can't entirely stealth a level. There must be a forced gunfight at some point which could become rather tedious at higher difficulty levels.

Anyway, I don't plan to replay it but it's good that it's finally on PC, maybe the modding community can do something interesting with it in the future.

Soul Hackers 2 regional pricing (or lack thereof) ... $100 for regular edition. I was thinking $90 but seems like SEGA/Atlus is following the trends of publishers jacking up the price just because they could.:flare_lmao:

Sorry, Argie Councillors.

I was looking forward to the game, too. :flare_sulk:

I'd rather they used Unreal Engine like SMTV, easier to mod and stuff, but as long as they don't fuck up the performance...
