I know I get called Apple fanboy haha, but the new M series of chips do both! Both power and less power drain. So it is possible. I think a problem with the GPU makers is that they don't have to care about a system in a holistic sense and only do what's easiest and benefits them.Sad to see increased power draw becoming the norm instead of decreased power draw. What hellscape are we in where node advancements are more harm than good?
GPU draws need to be halved at least. And CPU's should go back to 70-90w ceilings. Is that too much to ask?
I'd be totally down for a gen of CPU/GPU that doesn't push the computing power much but instead refocuses on trying to obtain current best at half the power draw. Seems like lately the manufactures have lost the word "Efficiency."

The 5800X3D still stacks up really well in gaming compared to the new CPU's. Imagine what a 78003D is going to do... CPU power enough for years.
I can say a lot of bad things about apple, but the transition to ARM was a bold move and ultimately I'm glad they did it. I don't know what needs to happen for the rest of the industry to switch, but I'm looking forward to that day.
Yeah, I intend on getting a 5800X3D next year to replace my 3700x
I'm fully expecting to upgrade my CPU from 2700X to a 5x00 series later this year and maybe upgrade my RTX2070 to an RTX3 series of some form around the same time. I'll then keep an eye on things and possibly build a new system in a couple of years and dono this one to my sister's kids.

I didn't feel any desire to experience the game world, hence those years of lateness on this playthrough. And while the game has its share of flaws, like pretty much every bosses, it was a superb experience. A good old shoot people in the face, time.
Conclusion
I suppose I need to play Amid Evil now.

Observations
- There is a person on the dev team named Ro Kohli. The youth they must have gone through !
- After Control and Dusk, I think I discovered a new illness, where you design a boss fight so that you must always look up and at the same time throws a bunch of holes on the ground for the lulz. I think I will call that designer brain rot.
- Not a fan of the story, globally speaking. Not a fan of not having to reload (my muscle memory... Pretty cool with no recoil.

It's a fun show. The leads have great character dynamics, but if you're looking for a true yuri show, this isn't it.
Also, the show wasn't on shaky grounds of any kind, since it's super popular in Japan.
I'm not done with it yet, so I dunno if it sticks the landing but based on the 9 episodes I've seen so far I would very much recommend it. It's very good.
Yeah I oversimplified. What I meant is simply that when the assassination happened some posters were not certain the show would continue, not suffer some setback, etc. It was just internet conjecture and not official troubles. I, yeah, OVERsimplified a bit too far
One more thing about the Ryzen 7000 series power consumption when compared to 5000 series, basically the 5950X used the 142W limit by default (PPT, Package Power Tracking, though it didn't need that much and would usually stop at around 120~130-ish at most?), while for the 7950X AMD opted to choose a much higher 230W as the default limit instead.
Lowering that 7950X limit to the same as the 5950X results in much lower power consumption, more normal temperatures, and just a minor loss in performance.

Something's been nagging at me and sometimes it even breaks my motivation to play anything.
My birthday was on the 17th. There's this couple who are my best friends, they literally mean the world to me. A few days before my birthday I called them (the husband to be more precise) and asked if they were free on Saturday night. He said that they were trying to get tickets to a festival so they probably wouldn't be.
I explained that I wasn't going to throw a party on my birthday because my son's birthday is on the 28th and I can't afford doing both, so I wanted to invite just the 2 of them for dinner.
He said that he'd get back to me.
A couple of days later, at 10:30pm the day before my birthday he replied saying that they couldn't make it. I was already expecting it so I thought whatever.
So the day of my birthday goes by and not a peep from them. On the night of the following day they call saying that they forgot. Obviously I wasn't happy.
On that same night we met up at the festival and when I arrived I didn't mention it but wasn't looking too happy.
This was just on arrival though, the rest of the night went by normally.

It's looking pretty good but there's too little to see, it's all up to level/objective/encounter design, AI, gunplay, stealth skills and opportunities, as well as a decent enough cinematic presentation I guess, though I could skip it or be content with little in the way of a story beyond mission briefings and what not.
It could be the FPSplinter Cell we need (with a dose of GoldenEye for those less stealth inclined). Edit: sequel to these if some of you don't know, oldie PC FPS.
The original's demo is what most people know this by probably. It wasn't the highest budget most polished game but back then it seemed like some MGSV: Ground Zeroes shit. Or I guess GoldenEye 007 style in much larger scale and open maps, what with all the objectives, cameras and what not in the levels.

Hard to believe the original Unexplored was my GOTY '17 and then the dev went EGGsclusive with the sequel and it completely fell off my radar.

I mean take a look at this thread there's like 20+ games in the past 2 pages? of games and that is just steam so there's tons of other places where stuff is getting churned out everywhere, like mobile and other stuff.
We've got some great people on top of releases and even then Im like "what the fuck how is there so much shit coming out"
I just throw it on my wishlist and forget about it until it either A- Comes out or B- Goes on Sale or C- LOOKS AMAZING, so I look into it further
Also people seemed excited about Gloomwood doing the whole "LOL THIEF WITRH GUNS"

I played it on XGP, then immediately turned around and bought it on Steam.
That game is fire, its exactly what I wanted Doom Eternal to be - a run and gun sequel to Doom 2016. They made smart choices with their visual presentation, like how you would imagine OG pixel Doom would look like if it was enhanced.
I hope the Steam Deck (and Steam) continue to find success in JP. Given SIE deprioritizing Japan as of late + their stock issues, the market is wide open for somebody else to take over the "high definition" games segment, and Steam has a portable offering to use as bait.

The main articles that are interested tend to either be interviews or just reviews of games. How ever most of the time the games that get reviewed are more well known titles.

Funny enough I did this one thing a few years back with Touhou Luna Nights. I looked up all the major news sites to see if they were covering and stuff like that and I think only Gematsu covered it.
I can't remember all the details since it's been a while. Anyway that game went on to sell over 100k on Steam during early access without the need of western gaming press.
The game was mentioned on a number of Japanese gaming sites even though it was only announced for PC at the time.
It's a whole thing. But yeah that 30% sure does come in handy.
I like games and stuff and I don't know all the marketing stuff of games (I could release a game tomorrow and it would fail) but I do wonder if some of these indie devs are just not really use to the idea of PC gaming.
If you are an indie dev and grew up on PlayStation and would love to get a physical copy of your game released, then I have bad news for you. I can happen but it likely won't be your first game that gets that treatment.
Remember the press is not your friend, platform holders are not your friend, Valve/Steam are not your friend either, but at least they provide you with tools so that you have a better fighting chance. So you might as well try to learn and get the best out of those tools.
