I guess? I just know the Romer switches are actually a modern design with gaming in mind. (Shorter actuation, redundant contacts, and much longer life-span = more presses.) It's interesting how your keyboard experience is the exact opposite of mine. I've had nothing but issues with Cherry switches in the past, and no matter how much I mash my keyboard I can't seem to identify this ping you speak of.
Probably a good thing. After watching some youtube videos of the sound it'd probably be enough for me to return the keyboard as it is quite annoying sounding.
I do like the clicky-clacky sound of keys though, even while gaming. (It's not much of an issue while wearing a tight headset I've found.) And I use a controller for anything non-competitive so don't have to worry about it otherwise.
