Hang on. That exclusivity patch thing is actually real?!? I thought you guys were just joking around before.

The updated version of World of Goo will eventually be released everywhere, but the Epic Games Store will be first.

Well to be fair they're probably using Fortnite's exclusive state of the art patching tools. Not their fault when Steam isn't providing that![]()
yup, it's real

World of Goo is getting updated and going free on the Epic Store
The classic puzzle game, with updated graphics and other improvements, is the next Epic freebie.www.pcgamer.com

Looking more into this, I don't see any kind of restriction on ACTIVATION, so I guess the key could be redeemed from any region? Only thing it restricts are trading/gifting and purchasing.
Oh FFS really??!
Every time I think there's a bottom to this shitty saga...
If you manage to get a key for the Japanese edition, please let me know where you got it, I would like to have both versions of the games.Anniversary Collection Arcade Classics JP · SubID: 358787

Wouldn't be surprised if part of this work was already done along with the Switch port and they were looking at updating the PC version to help promote their new game. Then Epic gets involved.
I'm probably stupid and that's just not how this shit works though.
Valid point, game is getting positive reviews not because of the game itself, it is not even given away for free on Steam. Where's the outrage? Will Valve flag this too? Hmhm.![]()
That sounds really cool! I like Fire Emblem so this probably is the closest way to play something like it on Steam.
yup, it's real

I wouldn't be surprised if Borderlands 3 gets exclusive DLC - even something like a unique gun or unique skin. Or maybe the DLC will be 6 months exclusive as well.
Metro Exodus did get too I think. (Positive reviews with fuck epic)
No outcry somehow from the usuals.

GraciasFor keys activation = purchase. But VPN will work and no runtime restriction.
What is it? The tweet isn't showing up for me.
Edit: Oh, it's a reddit link. It's banned here.
Gracias
I am still searching for jp keys.
I'm itching for that Sega PC news... E3 needs to come around already.
Assassin's Creed Unity get (positive) review-bombed on Steam because of Ubi's Donation to Notre-Dame and free give-away on u-playWhat is it? The tweet isn't showing up for me.

Imagine getting dates for Yakuza releases all at once, that'd be awesome.Fingers crossed for Persona and Yakuza 3-6 at E3. But god I hope SEGA doesn’t sell out to Epic. They’re my favorite publisher by far, if Persona comes to PC and went Epic exclusive I’d probably die.

There were 2 of them set in ancient Japan right? Would be great to have them!i'm still hoping they'll port both the zombie one, and the ancient Japan one
Did you guys see the news about the World of Goo timed exclusivity patch on EGS?
LOL
i'm still hoping they'll port both the zombie one, and the ancient Japan one

The ancient japan one never got a translation anywhere I think, so that's probably not gonna happen anytime soon
Naaah. Their "edgy" moves by now just seem laughable.Epic must have raised an entire department that's looking for new ways to frustrate Steam users. That department keeps delivering.

I think that we might see Yakuza Ishin being localized and having a western release for PS4 and PC at the same time. At least its not completely out of the realms of possibility, I think. I'll be hoping for that for sure.there were two!? damn ... now i want them even more!

Kenzan's plot involves child prostitution so it's a absolute no go, Ishin the second historical Yakuza spin-off is in the realm of possibility and i think i read somewhere recently they are actually thinking about localizing it now.

Part of that wouldn't surprise me, but is there really all that much that can be done to world of goo at this point besides resolution related work?Wouldn't be surprised if part of this work was already done along with the Switch port and they were looking at updating the PC version to help promote their new game. Ishin uses a modified version of the engine used in Y5, so I think that if anything, it will be a remaster like 3/4/5. I would be happy with that.If they're going to put in the effort, I hope it gets the Kiwami treatment with the new engine
Seems odd Epic would pay for an exclusive patch for an 11 year old game.

And that's why their next game is most likely part of deal too.
