huh ,
that doesnt make much of sense. The S2 pretty much catched up to manga ... we are in only like few chapter aheadwith the manga o_O
Guess it will be full of fillers like Boruto maybe
The Boruto manga releases monthly and the anime weekly lol.

oh didn't know teamfourstar did creator commentary videos on Dragonball Z Abridged, didn't even know they had yet another channel so I missed them.

I've been watching them and they are very good. I think they did up to the end of Freeza's arc.

Huh, so... For some reason, the Android TV Crunchyroll app is getting a sub-480p stream of Gintama with baked subtitles, while the website-player version has a full-quality version with rendered subtitles.

I dropped Gintama after one episode because the terrible CR encode made me want to stab my own eyes out, but on a whim I looked at it from the website and was shocked to see it at a watchable resolution - I wondered to myself if CR re-encoded it, and went to my TV to watch it and found that the Android TV app is inexplicably getting a vastly inferior "Secondhand Barn Camera Recording" version for some reason.

Guess I'll give Gintama the chance it deserves, but from my PC instead. Glad I invested in a PG48UQ then I guess.

Ghost Game has been on a roll for a while now, but todays episode (64) was especially good.
Hell of a way to announce that we've now hit endgame.

The first half of Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 - Finale is just weird man.

It genuinly just feels like the first half of a movie, without the second half.
No doubt the end result is going to be great but on it's own it's almost not worth watching because its just a giant build up with no conclusion lol.

I imagine this is what watched Evangelion Death and Rebirth must have felt like when it first aired.

its basically adapting the 3,5 chapters from 9-chapters long final stretch so yeah .. its pretty much that

but what i am really curious is how they will do the actuall ending... cause in the manga it felt extremely rushed and looking at this tripple-ep, they expanded it nicely in quite a few areas .. so hopefully they will expand on the ending a lot

Not anime but manga related but I want to have a slight rant.
I finished 20th Century Boys last night (not 21st Century Boys yet importantly!) and I’m left feeling quite disappointed for what is considered one of the best manga ever.

it starts off very well and the mystery is intriguing and the (closest parallel I can think of) IT-like story structure is effective too.
But this could have really benefited from being cut down by about 1/3 in length. The 3rd act especially gets quite ridiculous with the numerous character reintroductions and twists of little to no explanation behind them that feel quite retcon-like. It’s rather repetitive, and the final chapters just feel a rushed damp squib.

Now importantly I haven’t read 21st century boys yet but I did some googling in frustration after the ending that I did experience, and stumbled upon what appears to be a very literal retcon to come as republications of 21st century boys actually changed the ending compared to the original publication? And it sounds very dumb and on face value makes no sense but I’ll see how it goes when I see it for myself (I’ve got this far…)

But yeah I wanted to rant, it’s a big disappointment and I’m surprised this series is heralded so much

21st Century Boys is basically Urasawa trying to course correct and "fix" the ending of 20th Century Boys, for some people work, since at least is a more "closed" ending than the one we got in 20th

Ok that would definitely help cos the last few chapters really feels like it’s on fast forward and then it just kinda stops

Is Suisei no Majo really only 12 eps? I'm used to my Gundam seasons being 25 to 50 episodes lol.

I'm at episode 10 right now... I feel like there is still so many things building up...

Finished Ep. 12 of Suisei no Majo last night and my god, everything got kicked to 11! Also recently finished JJK season 1 and the movie. Those were pretty alright too but i worry if it's gonna get dragged out like a lot of other shounen.

Another update.

Finished Ch. 51-97 of Chainsaw Man last night.

... wtf. It was a ride, that's for sure. The pacing was kinda break neck, which is refreshing on one hand, but on the other I feel like he could have dumped another 30 or so chapters easily just on lore and stuff and there would STILL be loose ends.

I'm gonna miss the public security arc. The pivot to school setting has me rolling my eyes into the back of my head personally.

I had originally rated it at a 9/10. But by Ch. 97 I'm leaning more towards 7.5/10. I'll give it a bit of break before checking out the new arc.

The pacing has pretty much become a meme in the community

Don't worry about the school setting.
Of course it's not finished yet but Chainsaw Man Part 2 is even better than the first part so far, for some rather surprising reasons too, but i don't wanna spoil obviously.

I look forward to seeing your episode 14 reaction. 11 is a rookie's number.
Mhm. You weren't kidding. :thinking-face: It's definitely taken a turn...

Never trust the masked Gundam characters. I just hope they avoid too much "sins of the father" tropes... cuz that feels like where it's headed with both main characters.

I'll take your word for it. And the youtube video is surprisingly on point haha.

Watching this season:

Vinland Saga Season 2
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Season 2
Tengoku Daimakyou/Heavenly Delusion
Magical Destroyers

Dropped this season:

Jigokuraku/Hell's Paradise
Oshi No Ko

Magical Destroyers' first two episodes were kind of awful because the humor wasn't hitting, but it has finally won me over with episodes 3 and 4.

The latest Gundam episode sure took a turn...
Unfortunately I think it's extremely obvious how things are actually gonna turn out, but I'm still strapped in for the journey.

But seriously, why do so many Anime ED./OP. spoil important story bits? :huhblob:
