Chronos Rebellion is originally an all-ages title. The VNDB entry for it already states that the story remains unchanged.
This is not the same case as The Fruit of Grisaia where there are two different versions; AA on Steam, and R18 for Denpasoft, etc.
Besides, I don't see what the big deal is, if it means raising its visibility on Steam (by not making it an R18 title). The VN audience is niche, and it already had to compete with other shovelware titles tagged with "Visual Novel".
Reason: spelling.

The last Robocop game* I owned and played was Ocean's 1990 Robocop 2 (on the Amiga 500). I was just a kid but I remember it being oddly unsettling. I don't remember why.
*Unless you count Mortal Kombat as a "Robocop game"
Keeping Donald Duck away from Steam, plus giving the world Alan Wake 2, might just be the only two genuinely positive things Tim Epic has done for PC gaming.

Update: The controller is pretty good, solid built, sticks are amazing, the back buttons are nice, you can switch between Xinput and Dinput and it's pretty much a transparent Xbox One controller with RGB lights.

If you're referring to Grisaia Chronos Rebellion, the official account published the tweet back in late May on its release day, describing the differences in the upcoming Steam version. The VNDB entry for the game was updated shortly after.

In short Valve kept doing what they have been doing since Steam was a thing. And what many of us would say that Valve will do. But I guess other publishers simply don't understand that they need to improve user experience and not just to think how to get as much money as possible to themselves.
Exactly, and the reason is that Valve's main competitors aren't other PC services but other platforms like consoles and mobile. Valve is the only company in the PC space that is actively working towards improving the platform and expanding the market because they are fully invested in it, while everyone else doesn't care about bringing in more customers to PC gaming. They only care about squeezing more money out of the customers that are already there.
I followed the FTC v Micosoft/Activision case and I found the whole discussion about the "high-performance console market" pretty dumb. In my opinion, all gaming platforms (even mobile on some level) compete with one another for the audience's time and money, cutting up the market into tiny chunks doesn't make sense. The overlap between them may not be large in all cases (which is why Sony decided to port its games to PC) but historically the various gaming platforms have never been closer in terms of what they can offer.

I'm feeling that right now regarding The Outer Worlds and how remarkably awful it was and what a miserable time I had but the worst part is that somehow this travesty of a game is rated in the mid 80's????? In what reality am I living? This fucking thing is a serious contender for the worst game I've ever played and people praised it? I'm genuinely and irrationally angry at everything right now especially because I feel cheated out of 30h of my life spent waiting for this dumpster fire to ever get good or, at least, decent.
How is it possible that the same people that gave us Tyranny and PoE also released this gigantic pile of shit??? God have mercy on us all...

Yeah, I'm done buying games outside of Steam. Battle.net was the only remaining platform that I would consider getting games outside of Steam.

You are not kidding. Yes my CPU is getting old and yes I am not running on Windows. I loved the Terminator game and I was kinda looking forward to this but this level of performance is unaccaptable.
My PC was unlikely to run Robocop anyway but that's still disappointing, and makes running it on Deck unlikely too.

On a totally different note, in a weird and backhanded kinda way, I am glad I didn't get sucked into the Starfield hype.

Bought. I really enjoyed the first game, and this looks perfect to play on the Deck in short sessions. Can't wait to play it tonight!
I played it on Switch and I kind of liked it
Combat was nothing special, but I enjoyed the side quests and dialogs. Never played New Vegas.
For shit and giggles started the game on Steam Deck. I am afraid it will overheat if I continue further. Hits 80 degrees within a couple of seconds, the fan is spinning like crazy and I think its clocking down the CPU to keep up. This was on low settings with FSR2 set to balanced. FPS is around 35 ish.

I could be wrong but my impressions about Unreal Engine is that since UE4 Epic started pushing notion that UE is artists friendly engine and with node based editor everyone can make a thing in it. And everyone really can make a lot of things and engine will work. But that caused many studios to loosen their engine teams and workflows. And that is one reason why we ended up with tons of games with shader compilation issues. Tons of assets are made by separate artists and tons of shaders that didn't need to be there and could be reused. And the Epic announced during UE5 reveal that you can just put ultra high poly Z-Brush models in engine and it just works. That is when I knew that things won't change and possibly get worse.
But those who dig into the core of the engine like The Coalition hell even Bend Studio with Days Gone produce great results and show that engine is capable. But it still requires work.
Again I could be totally wrong.
