For those who are yet to pick up Hitman 2, the free Miami Pack, which gives access to the first "proper" Hitman 2 map/mission, should be up on Steam any moment now.
The first Hitman 2 elusive target is also returning, for those who missed it:

Those who played the Hawke's Bay prologue may want to give this map a try, especially since it's free, because it's more representative of the scale of the game, and the freedom it provides for you to complete the goals as you see fit.
OH SHIT
I SHALL GET HIM THIS TIME!

Fell Seal is so good!

It's exactly what I always wanted from a FF Tactics-like. It has everything what makes FFT great, from the robust class system, map design with elevation and such, combat mechanics and elements, exploration and team building, to story pieces in-between missions (sometimes in the middle of a battle too). No gimmicks and no cards mechanic, it's a straight copy of FFT at its very core.

That said, Fell Seal is not exactly a copy, as they also added some (optional) mechanics, including the injury system. If a character falls in a battle, they will be injured and heavily gimped if you choose to deploy them in the next battle. It's there to encourage having a substitute character ready just in case. It also encourages you to try different kind of characters and classes. Consumables are also different here, as they replenish after each combat so you can freely use them to as you see fit. Instead of obtaining stronger consumables, you can upgrade them in the crafting menu.

It's also coming out of early access in a few hours. Go buy it folks!

Koei Tecmo Golden Week sale on Hamble.
Not a single Atelier game on sale.
KT pls.

Speaking of Hamble, what are the odds that there is a bundle today?
There usually aren't any, but last monthly week they had the Namco one iirc.

50 bucks for a late port? Lmao
Expected. While you can get the retail console versions with the toys for ~20€ digital is a different matter, on PSN the Deluxe still costs 99,99€. So if PC Deluxe is the same (too bad the store page doesn't say) we're actually getting a steep, benevolent discount. Oh and 'normal' edition is 39,99€ vs 79,99€. Pricing is all kinds of fucked up due to the toy aspect, like you get less in-game content when buying physical, so digital must be more expensive.

The Switch deluxe version has been $30 on sale, I expected at most a $40 price tag :(

How are the Final Fantasy series on Steam? Most of those are bad ports right?

The Valve Index Headset runs at 120Hz with full back-compatibility to 90Hz, as well as an experimental 144Hz mode.

I can't justify upgrading my VR setup (including PC) right now, but damn I want to try this out. My Odyssey+ was cheaper than a pair of index controllers.

Eh, FFIX, X/X-2, XII, XIV and XV are decent for what is worth. FF VII and VIII suffer from the horrible launcher that manage (or don't) your saved games. I don't know about the others, they're mostly 3D remakes ported from DS / mobile and people seems to not like them.

lol @ MK11 banner on Steam out of nowhere.

Final Fantasy III is the DS remake, but fine.
Final Fantasy IV is also the DS remake and runs at 15 FPS in combat (which can be fixed via ini changes)
Final Fantasy V is the awful mobile version. It runs and plays fine, it just look awful.
Final Fantasy VI is the same as above, but the UI is even worse.
Final Fantasy VII is fine.
Final Fantasy VIII is fine.
Final Fanatsy IX is fine.
Final Fantasy X is mostly fine but i haven't touched that version myself.
Final Fantasy XI is an MMO and fine.
Final Fanatsy XII is the same as X.
Final Fantasy XIII has an awful framelock where the game locks itself temporarily to 30FPS if it dips below 59, making the entire game feel horrid.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 has similar issues as XIII
Final Fantasy XIII-3: Lightning Returns is fine except for the part where it disregards all commonly known PC gaming UI standards.
Final Fanatsy XIV is fine (and an MMO)
Final Fantasy XV is mostly fine.
Final Fantasy Type-0 has many issues, biggest of all that it's not running on WIndow 10 (Unless they patched it eventually)
Final Fantasy World Of is fine from what i've heard but i haven't touched the port myself.
Final Fantasy Dissidia and Mobius i can't tell you anything abut but the former has mostly negative steamreviews fwiw.

Type-0 did get patched yeah. I have a 192 hours on the PC version and beat it three times. I love Type-0.

For anybody really interested in playing the FF's on PC, I HIGHLY suggest two things.
  • Check the PCGamingWiki page for each entry. They always list fixes and common mods for most issues people have.
  • Check the Steam forums and Final Fantasy Modding group for each game.

I haven't had a single issue with ANY of the FF games on PC thanks to the lovely PC-gaming community always coming together to fix this stuff. (y)

Yea, Ars Technica edited out that part of the article now.
Not sure were they got the diea from.
Phew. Possibly from the Steam Link getting discontinued early in the year.

I thought that LEGO Indiana Jones was a given to be on tier 1 once I saw this bundle, that'd make at least one tier out of those three interesting.

Well, at least it remembered me that LEGO Undercover is on my backlog.
