“I don’t know if we’re going to pull it off, but looking at our narrative, visual and gameplay plans, I think what we’re working on now will be our best work ever. I get excited like a kid watching the key imagery, want to show it to everyone now and grumble in frustration at having to wait until it’s actually all working. Yes, it’s hype but it’s hype because it really looks and feels good.” - Excited Swen, April 17th 2024.

Hey gang, It’s been a whirlwind few months here at the Larian castle, attending some of the biggest awards ceremonies in our industry, and we are absolutely humbled by the recognition we’ve received from our players and our peers. As you might have seen, last week we attended the BAFTA Games...store.steampowered.com

A contingent of Playstation diehards still resents the fact that Steam gets Sony exclusives. They are asking for a Playstation launcher because they know PC gamers don't want it.PC GAMERS CANT HAVE THEIR CAKE AND EAT IT IF THEY WANT DAY 1 PC THEY'LL GET A LAUNCHER
Some fucking weirdos about lmao

Yep, it's obvious. It should be actioned but whatever.A contingent of Playstation diehards still resents the fact that Steam gets Sony exclusives. They are asking for a Playstation launcher because they know PC gamers don't.
I was instantly interested in it until I realized I would suck at playing it. Shame, cause it looks gorgeous. Not going to lie, No Rest for the Wicked has me very curious. A diablo like that sets to reinvent stuff I would love to see, but souls like aspects not so much
Mixed reviews, but the negatives look mostly related to early access. Hopefully they'll sort it out -- I'm rooting for this one.
Out in Early Access.

Does Ubi have a mind to change? My impression of them is that they are just doing random shit for no reason. The Crew Motorfest has Steam cheevos. Did Ubi change their minds?
I think it's mostly the devs on this one- Ivory Tower had Steam achievements in their last game on Steam (The Crew 2).The Crew Motorfest has Steam cheevos. Did Ubi change their minds?
Do you happen to do exercise? Going for walks improves my mental state by a lot.My anxiety has been going into overdrive.
Even when I'm gaming sometimes I can't focus. Anyway, been playing The Walking Dead Definitive Edition. I loved the original back in 2012 but never got around to playing the final season. Looking forward to playing through the whole thing this time. Played episode 3 of the first season yesterday and that shit hit me hard. Having a son around the same age really makes that scene hit.
more Paradox oversght?Man, how did they go from the slamdunk of Cities Skylines to the unmitigated disaster that has been Skylines 2.
Are these guys still turbo nazis?
Never were. Are these guys still turbo nazis?
It's out, seems qureate learned it's better to release the game the same day of Switch release ^^ and not wait few weeks or month and get the Switch game leaked on downloaded sites and be played on emulators.
They wanted to make sure so that the game won't be taken down

Decided to buy it as well, excited to play it when I get home later. It looks amazing, and i loved the Ori games. In general I don't play Diablo like games but I got No Rest for the Wicked because I love the artstyle and it's from Moon Studio (I absolutely loved Ori games). I only played maybe an hour switching between Steam Deck native and streaming on Deck from PC. To me game is ok. Judging stamina and few other things after an hour or two in RPG is always kinda stupid to me. Until progression starts to kick in you really can't judge many things. And to me game is not as punishing as Souls games and kinda not as hard as them either so calling this Souls like is bit strange to me. Overall I think that this will be absolutely awesome game when they do full release.
I still don't get it what is Souls like in this game. Punishment for death is minimal, enemies are not that hard, there is so much more story, world is kinda more vibrant...I bought No Rest for the Wicked through their private division store, which surprisingly follows Steam's regional pricing. ~$16 with the cohhcarnage affiliate link so that's nice, $2 cheaper than steam.
Almost 2 hours in and just killed the first boss. I like it. Game is quite forgiving so far for a souls like. Exploration and finding a way to a treasure is satisfying.
Game is very taxing. Still drops below 60 fps at 1440p (7500f+3080) sometimes when the camera zoom out or there are heavy fog and transparency effect. DLSS will probably help a lot when they implement it. It's in EA and they're acknowledging the performance issue so not a big deal ATM.
It's just a catch all phrase for me for games that use stamina bar for attack, dodging, blocking. Weight based rolling and similar bonfire mechanics really.I still don't get it what is Souls like in this game. Punishment for death is minimal, enemies are not that hard, there is so much more story, world is kinda more vibrant...
Only slightly pricier than Steam standard regional pricing, I'm impressed.follows Steam's regional pricing
Tell me more, color control? Me and GF will get a LG TV on Monday so would be nice to be prepared!Oh my god, I FINALLY got color control to work on my LG OLED TV after buying the service remote lmao
Hopefully I can cancel the remote now on Amazon
Anyway, I've disabled the annoying as hell auto dimming
It's the most RPG the series has been since the ATB days, it just takes a little while for the combat to open up. You need a full 3 person party to really start seeing the depth it has and how it allows for countless builds and materia loadouts but that doesn't happen for like 5 chapters.Been playing FF7 remake and it runs surprisingly well on the deck, except in cutscenes where it can become a choppy mess. Really liking the game but wow, it's not a RPG at all, at least not what I expected. But still really enjoying it for what it is!
just people being weird with "stabina bar" = "soulsike"I still don't get it what is Souls like in this game. Punishment for death is minimal, enemies are not that hard, there is so much more story, world is kinda more vibrant...
Don't throw words like nazi around like that. Nazis systematically hunted down, killed, tortured and exprimented on jews, socialists, socialdemocrats, communists, gays and people with different disabilities. They also wanted everything to be owned by the state. Are these guys still turbo nazis?
To be fair the combat does feel like a soulslike, you have to consider positioning and timing for dodges and parries, as well as stamina management. The difficulty is not really a requisite in my opinion and punishment for dying has been minimal since DS3just people being weird with "stabina bar" = "soulsike"
As far as I remember there were complaints about the absence of black people in the game and they responded it was because of historical accuracy, don't know if there's anything else for calling them nazis but otherwise it's quite an exaggeration and I think it's also detrimental to the cause of actual anti-fascismDon't throw words like nazi around like that. If Vavra supports all that, yes, he is a nazi.
Takes a lot less to be counted as a Nazi to be honest, to say one has to have a death camp up and running to be counted as a nazi is absurd.Don't throw words like nazi around like that. Im just tired of people calling other people nazis. Nazis are scum of the earth, pure evil. Vavra has some shit opinions, but that doesn't make him a nazi.To be fair the combat does feel like a soulslike, you have to consider positioning and timing for dodges and parries, as well as stamina management.
