I will never understand that. I did use terms to specify that it was my opinion... but that combat isn't fun because the controls are jank, or souls-mechanics are getting in the way, that's just how the games are. It's not like you can't check the endless negative reviews saying the same thing on Steam for some of those games that are at 70-something on Steam, and 70% positive reviews on Steam is like getting a 56 on opencritic, in the same way that Axion Verge 2 is 12% lower than AV1...tbh the fact its Line ... and my opposite taste to him in gams ... kinda sold me more
probelm is i already own everything in it lol
"More studios should just go indie so they aren't beholden to these awful practices." Her response: the indie space is just as volatile and doing pretty bad right now, studios are closing all the time, they just aren't all big news like a AAA studio closing. Indies are having increasing trouble getting publishing support or just funding for projects in general, specifically because they're often more niche, less focused on monetization, and therefore more risky, even if they're generally smaller scale.
But whereas a flop at a big studio might result in layoffs or maybe a closure at worst, an indie flop is probably just going to tank the whole company immediately and it might not even release if the stars don't align.
and i did state what i stated based of my actual tastes vs years long reading your complains about games .. pretty sure we talked about this so many times over the yearsI will never understand that. I did use terms to specify that it was my opinion...
If I remember correctly the Pro 2 controller has a switch on the back that can toggle between different modes. If you wanted your PC to recognize the controller as an Xbox pad (as far as Steam is concerned) you could switch to the "X" option which should be xinput. I assume this is currently set to "S" for the Switch mode which would make Steam recognize it as a Switch Pro controller. Let me know if this helps! So I am really not accustomed to using a controller on PC it seems as I bought a 8bitdo Pro 2 (great controller) the thing is, the buttons on right side are laid out like the switch (with A being right and B on bottom) + the fact I am used to using PS icons and O being accept anyways....
But everything I play B is accept and A is cancel, it triggers me like DS1 on the switch with B being accept. How do I fix this?
Some games even the X & Y are swapped.
I am surprised I never ran into this much before but I really only used a controller for only a few games & remote link on my phone...but when yea get a new PC and buy games..bound to happen I guess.

Oh I totally get what you mean now. I have the black Pro 2 model and you can barely even see the letters on the thing. I didn't realize the standard model was so pronounced!I got that but look at the picture, I am taking about the actual face buttons.
I thought ofwould you guys play a sims game but based on Fallout?
I was thinking about this cuz the MS stuff and I thought Sims was Activision property, but then i remembered it's EA lol. But still...
Blu beat me to it. Fallout Shelter is that game. The mobile version was a big deal right before FO4 came out and killed my entire interest in the franchise ever being good again.would you guys play a sims game but based on Fallout?

You're not going to be disappointed with performance I have these specs but I have a 4070 instead, everything runs like a dream, and if a game has DLSS 3 is going to run at competitive framerates. I'm not sure how "future-proof" it is though because AAA PC ports get shittier by the yearWell shit. I had the chance to get a brand new 4080 Super at below MSRP and jumped on it. Felt it was too good to pass up. Guess I'll build a new desktop this year after all.

I expect at 1440p I'll be future proofed for another 6-8 years. (Current rig made it 6 years on a 8700k/1080ti->3070ti.)
You know?
The biggest achievement of PC gaming was a 25-year long-con to destroy the console market.
What do I talk about?
Good that you asked!
We pretended to be so anal about the best graphics ever, that the consoleros tried to imitate that. We got the foot into the door in the PS3 generation where "can it run Crisis" was still laughed at.
But at least when the PS4 generation started, they were all in on high graphical fidelity and long development cycles.
"The puddle looks awful," they say
"They can't just make worse graphics, no one will buy the games," they say.
"The games NEED hundreds of millions of dollars to succeed," they say.
*slurping tea.
All according to Keikaku
I consider some videogames to be art.Qwl with recent gaming industry happenings i think that we can say that video games are no longer an art. Chasing money and player engagement is not something that is art. Sure there will always be exceptions but looking at the entire AAA industry things don't look that good. So at least that debate can kinda be pit to the rest XD
Thanks, I laughedAll according to Keikaku
I considered all video games to be art, some of them are just shitty art lmao.I consider some videogames to be art.
I consider most videogames not to be art.
Capcom financial resultsWhere is this from, whose sales?
Anyone who still thinks that Microsoft will fully invest into a new console generation is very optimistic. (If a new Xbox comes, it will be bog standard without any custom (console) high end parts)
Anyone who still thinks that Microsoft will support the next console generation after 2 years of a last effort and still failing, is delusional.

Yeah, I think saying that most AAA games are primarily designed as products rather than art and therefore games in general aren't art is a bit of a non-sequitur.I consider some videogames to be art.
I consider most videogames not to be art.
But, this has always been the case. Nothing new.

Then there is me, who refuses to replace my busted PC because of my absolute ignorance regarding hardware.
On this forum full of PC nerds we could definitely help you out man.My dad taught me to build PC's when I was like 8 lol, and the tradition just carried on ever since. I built my first PC from his spare/old parts when i was 10. Then i built another at 14, 22, 26, and now at 32 later this year this will be my 5th build.
I couldn't explain the technical ins-and-0uts of PCIE 3 Vs 4, but I know where to stick all the legos in at least.![]()
What about Bloodborne?
B..but I want it to hurt meBloodborne is not real and it can't hurt you XD
A sims game where you're actually meant to fuck with your sims and make their lives hell by building a fucked up vault? Yeah that would be lit.would you guys play a sims game but based on Fallout?

A tale as old as timeWhat they really want is a curated "indie Experience" where 95% of Indie devs and studios should stop making games so that their premium Indies could have more discoverability and financial success.
