We actually have a road map of nine Cat Quest games (because cats have nine lives), and we’ve followed that plan quite closely so far! We know what is going to happen next in the series, and if Cat Quest 3 does well, we can’t wait to make it a reality
We do have plans for a fourth one sometime down the road, but for our next project we’re eager to try something completely new!

played this for a couple hours and can definitely recommend this to anyone that something that feels mechanically pretty similar to something like slay the spire but with better production values and a story to it sounds appealing to

start on something higher than normal if you've played other stuff in the genre though, the one run I did so far did feel a bit too easy

Got all achievements from Grindstone. Still far from completion because those stupid and lazy developers are still doing free updates and adding new levels to the game. The grind must go on...
How long did it take you? I'm 33h in, currently on level 130 or so and I see no end in sight... The game is great though so I'm not complaining

Anti-trust lawsuits

Mostly Valve mitigated it by showing how having your games on an online platform meant that you get patches, expansions and any other modification directly on the same platform, without needing to hunt stuff on a game-by-game basis. This argument treats Steam Keys like a magic spell, and it ignores why having stuff on Steam became so desirable to consumers. In particular when the early impression of customers in eary 00s was incredibly negative. Valve put in a ton of work (and money) to convince people of the value of the Steam platform.

Also, are they assuming here that every single developer sends their CDs via the post to people's homes? Because if a little thing called "retail" is involved, then we are again talking about a 30% cut. Particular lols for mentioning monopolist Amazon here, who take way more than 30% of off any market place sales: Amazon Takes a 50% Cut of Sellers' Revenue

Little do they know that there have been some devs that will sell physical disk copies of games and also include a Steam key for the customers convince. People like Indie box did this. I have a physical CD copy of the first build of Hollow Knight along with the OST on CD and also a Steam key for both of those things as well were included in that box. Sadly Furi was not on the CD but rather it was just a CD to install Steam and the Steam key. I'd imagine that it's this way since there just aren't enough people instead in an actual CD. And that's just added cost.

Since it's pretty confirmed by now that FFXVI will be announced for PC at gamescom, i hope it'll release before the end of the year.
It would be bad marketing, but i'd be very happy if they just shadowdrop it like usual

you can really tell KH is old, backtracking and no fast travel are a pain...
Most of the environments are really small tho

They also want to get rid of included Steam keys:

This part is good too, Valve charges too much and should charge less while selling at a loss and should charge more(?).

Wukong reviews are out and seems like it's mostly a boss rush game which was the vibes I got from watching all the videos on the game. Most games tell you exactly what they are in their media, there's barely ever any surprises anymore.

I want 16 out as soon as possible so I can get Rebirth
Understandable considering it's one of the best games ever and it's being held back by a game that's in the bottom quarter of FF games.

There is no effective marketing or surprises in this industry. Pubs need to drip feed and spoil as much as they can in order to successfully sell a game. The game previews and all that other play early shit makes it worse.

The closest we've ever been to real special marketing is when Rockstar dropped that RDR2 image on twitter. It was a without a title or anything. It was really great as it caused so much talk and anticipation. But yea even then they had to eventually reveal a trailer and spoil a bunch of things. Not that anyone wouldn't know what type of a game R* would make.

Also when Apex Legends was kind of stealth dropped that one time a few days after the superbowl iirc. That was great too but its a BR game so who gives a shit really. But I wish more stuff like that would happen. And the Kojima/PT stuff too. That was amazing.

Just a public service message. The Borderlands movie is so terrible... I lasted for 30 minutes. What was I thinking going to that movie... Thankfully, I am allowed to see Deadpool 3 again in a few minutes due to the staff being nice. Thanks cinema staff, fuck you Randy.
Deadpool 3 was nice though.

I mean....You were warned
I was hoping the thing was so bad it was good. I am a sucker for bad movies but this was just horrible. I generally do not read reviews out of fear of spoilers but I really should check RT before seeing a movie again...

I honesty think the Borderlands games were good despite having that idiot onboard.

Yeah, I remember seeing Kinda Funny I think it was say it isn't even so bad it's good so it's fun like The Room, it's just boring bad.

I was thinking about getting Preserve, but for now - money is tight this month - I went for Shapez 2. Only played a short while but already loving it. It's like a more abstract, simpler automation / factory game. Mine shapes, cut them in different shapes, dip them in paint to give them colors :geek: funfunfun

PoP The Lost Crown is really good imo. Playing on hard difficulty gives me the perfect challenge, even giving me some Dark Souls vibes during some of the boss fights.

The game runs incredibly smooth on the Steam Deck as well, 60fps on ultra settings and more than 3 hours playtime on the LCD model.

The exclusivity nonsense and the fact that Ubisoft made it really killed this game.

I mentioned it elsewhere but everything looks way too clean and shiney in the trailer for veilguard it's really annoying

In Origins it looked like you murdered a strawberry patched after a fight with pretty much anything

When they ran through the rain or mud or anything they didnt get wet at all same with when they stabbed stuff and blood gushed out

It could have been just because it was a trailer or cutscene type situation and not a true "ingame" thing but still I was sort of expecting more...? I don't know how to explain it that well

The game looks good visually but it doesn't like look like anything "special" in this day and age of things that are coming out, and little things all kind of add up in the end

One other thing thats going to just be a random guess I'm pulling out of my ass is it looks like none of the companions change their appearance in any of the cutscene shit so they what look the same the entire game besides maybe their weapon? Cool I guess lol

I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed that companions can change their gear. I know the deluxe edition comes with gear for them. Even in that trailer it shows Neve in 2 different outfits... Even her hair changes in one of the scenes -- it's up in one, and down in another.
