Yeah, FF6 is my favourite out of the series. Some of it is nostalga, it was the first FF game I played back on the SNES and it was this and Secret of Mana that started me off liking JRPG's and down the road towards anime and manga as well. Super Play magazine also helped with that, especially with the covers by Will Overton.
So, got some store credit and decided to grab a couple of things in the sale. Decided to go for Tiny Glade and The Outer Worlds (secret level doing it's work there). Will probably have a play of the Outer Worlds over Christmas.
Watched Secret Level today and enjoyed some of the episodes. The D&D one was good, but a poor substitute for the movie (that film should have been a bigger success so I could have had a sequel). This one mightn't surprise some of you but I really enjoyed the Warhammer 40,000 one. And as an aside, Warhammer TV is worth a sub for a month, most of the stuff on there is good to great and you can get through it all in a month. The Armoured Core one was cool as well, but never played the games so was more enjoying mechs going boom. I really enjoyed the PACMAN one, but it wasn't PACMAN it was a pretty cool action/horror short. I liked the Exodus one as well. But this was more as a cool use of space travel with the inherent problems of using stasis and aging. Have no clue what the game is about though.
The only episode that came across as an obvious and blatant advert was the Sony one and it wasn't even a decent use of any of the IP's. The main thing is with the series, many of them where around the 12 minute mark and most didn't outstay their welcome.
