Briefly considered trying my luck to get Makiatto's signature weapon but decided against it.

Well, because I'm a stable genius, I figured let's do the standard yolo 10-pull on Makiatto's weapon banner as well. I didn't get her sniper rifle but I did lose the 50-50 and get a dupe of Sabrina's shotgun. That's still a win! My great luck continues.

Should I upgrade Sabrina's weapon or keep this second one for another character?

There is a detail I really liked in Lenna's Dusty Journal. It makes her first appearance in chapter 4 even better

Got it, no upgrading the weapon. I'll probably give it to Vepley since Lotta has her own v6 shotgun but realistically neither of them are getting leveled up anytime soon. I'm struggling to level just my main team right now. All resources getting burned on farming materials for them.

Level 57 now. Been enjoying it a lot. Can't wait for Daiyan and Ch.8 on the 16th! Reminder to everyone to read Ch.8 before starting the next event for story continuity sake.

I'm excited for GF1 on PC too. I hope they release the client to global as well. Gacha games on PC feels liberating. Easier to multi-task and no more craning my neck over a phone/tablet. Plus i like mouse control, feels more precise.

I would recommend reading the lore page on the wiki to get an idea of what the world and setting is all about - Lore - IOP Wiki

This is the most concise summary that I have found to date. There is a Google doc which calls itself a 'brief' summary of the GFL1 story that is 86 pages long. There's a youtube video I found that supposedly summarises the story but it's almost an hour and a half long. And then there's the cutscene selector which will take several days to get through as it's basically the full VN section of the first game. Unless you're willing to invest a lot of time and effort into understanding the story, I would say just absorb the lore page and take the story as it comes in this game.

On a related note, question for those who know about GFL2 before this release... Has the story in the CN server moved past the current bounty we're doing in the global version? As in, has Helena been delivered to Kalin and the contract is over and the story has moved on? I've mentioned that I feel like the story is moving too slowly and I wish they would deliver more content per chapter. At this point I'd like to see more things happening past this contract we're on.

I've mentioned that I feel like the story is moving too slowly and I wish they would deliver more content per chapter. At this point I'd like to see more things happening past this contract we're on.

I'm not too sure about the Helena situation (trying to stay mostly spoiler free w/ regards to big plot points), but I'm told the story picks up and changes gears significantly around the time Klukai (416) drops. That should be around the 6 month mark? Half-Anni.

One big problem is that a lot of time on CN side has been spent re-writing story and events. Good for us Global players cuz we're getting the best right off the bat and a clearer timeline too. But it also makes things a bit unpredictable.

Purely observations, story from chapter 8 onwards (including the upcoming Daiyan event, the latest version after rewrite) are pretty well-regarded among the CN folks. Not sure about how the story progresses though because I avoid spoilers like the plague.

So, pretty hyped towards the upcoming patches.

This is a bit disappointing to hear. We know they are able to tell good stories even within the span of a chapter (like they did with the first part of last month's event and even chapter 7 of the main story). I like when they explore the world and the desperate circumstances of living in it. That underground area in chapter 7 with the traders having a symbiotic deal with the Varjagers and then the settlement they lived in were interesting to explore, but then they never actually concluded Colphne's story in it. I'm not sure if they will in chapter 8.

My feeling is the writing is currently constrained by the Helena contract and they'll be able to expand on the story better once it's out of the way.

In case you are not informed, limited dolls come back after 3-4 months in CN server, so there are chances to pull them in the future.

AK15 will probably be very OP if they follow the lore. On another note, Mica has to bring back the suit skins of DEFY to GFL2. I bet they will sell like hot cakes.

"Hah!" The memes (especially those NSFW ones ) stemmed from Nemesis/Krolik were very funny.

I also can't wait to see Lenna and Vector. Real talk though, the only confirmed dolls that I am not too interested in pulling are Daiyan and Belka... All the remaining are must-pulls to me. Purely based on personal preference.
