oh, no ... i'm still getting the "game is on sale" emails ... but i stopped getting "this game just got released" emails like 2 or 3 weeks ago ... and i'm still opted-in (i checked), haven't changed any settings :/
Can I say what games I’ve “started”?
Apparently I only start games now. Most recently Red Dead 2. Played about an hour and just don’t have the time yet to give the game the focus it needs. Playing on X1X.
PS4 remains my NFL app for the 2nd month in a row lol. I did play Tetris Effect in VR. Very cool. Hopefully it gets a PC release.
On PC I’m still having fun going thru my steam library and trying games now that I have a decent gpu. I find some games I thought I would love have been meh while others have been awesome.
More recently
Arkham City - just nope. I don’t know why I keep trying these. I hate puzzles, forced stealth, boring combat and corridors.
Assasins Creed Favorites: odyssey, unity (the environmental work is amazing so I just like walking around, the controls are worse than I remembered tho), syndicate (probably my fav since 2 , played on consoles) . But now I need Origins which I liked. So I’ll continue to never finish them by playing them all at once!
Forza Horizon 4: Great but they kinda messed up progression balance. I beat 3 in a few days but have no desire to rush thru 4. Great podcast game tho.
Forza Horizon 3: hot wheels- never got to dlc on console. Mixed feelings. The pc port just doesn’t feel as good as 4. May end up moving back to X to play.
Forza 7: ugh. The UI just fuck man. I know most of us on UI bailed before ship but ugh. Had to delete lol.
Sega Allstar Racing: Yes! Still amazing. So many memories tied to those tracks.
Injustice 2: loved on consoles, great on PC
More hot takes later.
Can’t wait for holiday season so work can slow down and I can get back to RD2, spiderman and God of War.

the only thing i don't really like about the UI in FM7 is the fact that it runs at like 20fps and loading car models when you change between them takes AGESTransformed? or the first one?

lashman the first sonic racing game. For some reason it wouldn’t launch on my older system. Spent plenty of time In Transformed , wanted to see if I could get the original working.
As far as Forza I think it’s more 3 is so much smoother on console. And just timing. I probably had more free time when that released. 4 has more content as well and is far more polished on PC than earlier releases. I level up twice doing random stuff then I’m out. lol

yeah, that might be it .... FH3 ran sooooooo bad when it released ... and even now it's still not quite perfect

lashman yup it took awhile for everyone to learn , ForzaTech to get updates, and some improvements to UAP.
I may grab Forza 6 Apex, that was the first release on PC for the franchise to gather learnings. I helped with that one and the UI shouldn’t bother me as much as FM7. Don’t know how it runs post their last content updates however.

Yeah this is the case for me as well. Still get "Hey, this game is discounted now" e-mails, but notifications for new releases has stopped for a bit it seems. >_>

Yeah, too bad they have again a 1-year exclusivity like REZ infinite, looks really cool but I know I want to play it on VR so I have to wait for a PC version.

well, to be fair - they can't explain it because it's the Japanese HQ that sets the prices ... so they're only doing whatever Japan tells them to do .... and knowing Japanese companies - they almost definitely don't even give them a reasoning either ... so they probably literally don't know why it's suddenly 70€
Yeah, that's what I think too. It just so weird that the price is 60€ with 10% off on about every other storefront (Humble(w monthly), GMG, Gamesplanet). Problem is that there is no bonus if you don't buy it on Steam.

that's probably because they can only directly set the prices on steam ... everywhere else - they're just selling keys to humble, gmg, etc.
I've started to have this weird rule, that when I start playing a game that I have to try and play it till I at least have enough achievements so it's more than my average completion rate.XD

For me it mostly came from the frustration of for years seeing my average completion rating go up and down between 32-33% haha. Also frustrating when games that you 100% add DLC which also add achievements.T_T

Nope, it just works in VR too and has some special modes... Sony of course advertises with the VR stuff to sell more VR sets, but it's completely playable on a TV
This is pretty much my main rule. The problem with this rule is that there are some games that unlocks an achievement when you start the game for the first time. So if I find the game boring then I have to play a boring game....
My average is 53%
Yeah that happened to me a couple of times... I cheated and used SAM to remove the achievement haha, but now I just make sure that I only start games that I will stick with.

In other news, Book of Demons will leave early access on December 13th.
In truth, since December of last year you could already play the game from start to finish (I did so during last year's Steam Winter Sale, when I bought the game), they have been merely adding some minor tweaks and polish.
The game is currently 50% off, and it's well worth it.
Imagine a hack and slash title like Diablo, in which everything (equipment, skills/spells, ...) are... cards. I honestly didn't understand how it could possibly work, but it does! It's a lot of fun, and I highly recommend it.
There's a demo available, for those who wish to try it out.

I was going to announce it (and ask if you mind, ofc) a bit later but what the heck, you know I have been collecting your threads, counting the number of games displayed on those and actually let those get dusty on a private server I have for testing bots at discord but I was thinking about how I could connect your threads with the social media (Twitter mostly) and also help those games to get even more visibility so I thought it would be a good idea yo make this little thing, a monthly video "a la day of the devs" where the games you highlighted would get a clip of a few seconds, the name of the developer and also a link not only to the store page but also to the threads. this is still early concept and I'm making changes here and there to make this as good as possible but I thought this could be a great opportunity to make a new jump with another format ^^
I backed this on Kickstarter. Maybe gonna get to it soon, but with still playing AC: Odyssey and everything else I'm behind on I guess we'll see.

I'm getting ready for HITMAN 2, and I was wondering if anyone knows the following:
-I had yet to launch HITMAN Sniper Assassin; do I have to do anything in there to unlock content on the main game?
-will the content from HITMAN Sniper Assassin be part of the main game, or will it remain a separate game? I'm struggling to find 105GB of free HD space for HITMAN 2, so I was thinking of deleting it;
-when I launched HITMAN Sniper Assassin a few moments ago, it asked me to create a new IOI Account; when I did so, the game now shows as registered to my account; is there any other games that I can register/link as an owner for this IOI Account system (the last time I played HITMAN, I believe it still used a Square-Enix account system)?
And one last thing: does anyone know if HITMAN 2 will allow me to re-do the timed events of the first season?
Sadly, I failed one, and stopped doing them after that (I really dislike the system they had in place of having time-limited events, with a single chance of complete it). I'm wondering if at least I'll get a new chance of completing these events.
