Let's just say that the comics already revealed the direction they will likely go:
And, their comic sales have hit the lowest of the low, comic stores are closing their doors due to the extremely low sales, and, now, there's the recent flurry over the possibility of Marvel Comics shuting down with all "official" sources just dancing around the question (No one has outright said "No, it isn't happening").

Evans and RDJ already said their good byes and they're NOT coming back.
I mean Endgame also shows how Cap will be handled (and Hemsworth wants to stick around so Thor is fine for now, thor4 - p90x in valhalla incoming), but if Sam and whoever replaces RDJ fail to capture the same audience, there is going to be trouble. Fans might not like having the names attached to different characters and a resurrection/cameo will just poison the well further. I really do see Endgame as the peak before a fall off.

As for Hulk, I prefer Ang Lee's Hulk to the MCU/Ed Norton version, though I do enjoy Ruffalo's take and where he's gone in the actual mcu.

I've given up on finding time for Cloak & Dagger and the Netflix shows that I haven't seen. I don't think I'll ever watch Runaways, here it's on a service I'll never use.
I love Agents of Shield, though! Almost finished watching season 5 :cat-pizza-blob:

I tried to watch Runaways not so long ago and thought it was boring as hell. Kids aren't sympathetic, the dialogue is, I don't know, tries to be realistic, but feels clunky instead (at least to me, and I could be wrong, not a native speaker), bland cinematography (yeah, yeah, I know it's a basic complaint about the entirety of MCU, but Runaways does look like they didn't even bother with lighting) and the editing reminds me of mockumentaries. Just not an enjoyable watch.

i liked the first season but the second season (while still decent) leaned to heavy into the typical teen drama bullshit.

I did enjoy The Incredible Hulk. It could have been better but it's still a fun watch. No MCU film is objectively bad.

Untrue. Thor2 is bad, full stop. Iron 2 and 3 are pretty bad, but The Dark World is a whole other level of bad.

I finally watched endgame yesterday, what an epic movie!
Not really fan of them using time travel, but at least it wasn't to change the past

Steve going back in time to retire with his waifu is NOT changing the past?

What's so bad about it?
The biggest problem with Dark World stems from the fact that the film is nothing special in any regards what so ever. A lot of stuff just happens, and the film ends up really average. However, I don't rememder it being that bad. Actually remember liking it.

Now, Ragnarok, THAT was a terrible film.

Honestly, on my first watch, I kinda disliked it too. It felt a lot like an episode of an HBO comedy like Flight of the Concords or Tenacious D. but with Thor and Hulk in it. It took a couple more watches before I came around. Mark Mothersbaugh soundtrack though, on point

I disliked the film because of aspects of it such as, but not limited to, "Hey, you know how Bruce is having an identity crisis where he's afraid that he'll cease to be if he turns into the Hulk again? Yeah, let's completely ignore that and have his character 'die' in the most 'humorous' way possible." And, "Hey, you know how Thor is basically a masculine Nordic DnD character dropped into the modern world? Yeah, let's change that make himself self-aware and the possible head of a boy band." And, "Hey, you know how Thor had a pack of friends that include Xena, Asian Robin Hood, and the oversized dwarf? Yeah, let's kill them off in the most anti-climatic way possible and introduce this new cool 'Valkyrie' character that I just created." And, "Let's also make her Thor's girlfriend. Oh, he already has one? Well, let's have him dump her, off screen, and dismiss it with one line about how 'Things weren't working out.'" And, the sudo-80s production were everything is synth, neon, and 1 or 2 popular songs from that era.

I never did understand why they went with the 80s aesthetic with Thor Ragnarok. I mean, it was likely a reaction to GotG making bank, but Thor is the one character where they can legitimately explorer a known visual style and not have it come off as something tacked on. Liked the soundtrack as I said, but the 80s vibe contrasting with the actual story was part of the reason I was put off my first time.

I don't think you have a very good understanding of the character, which honestly isn't your fault if you're just going off the movies. Thor is a lot more than just fish out of water story or a fantasy archetype. Ragnarok took ample inspiration for its aesthetic from Jack Kirby's run on the character. Also, Immigrant Song is the only pop song in the movie and it's from the 70s, and Valkyrie is not an original character for the movies :p

None of that means you had to like it but some of your purist complaints are misguided.

It is funny that Thor 2: The Dark World is probably the most important of the movies for the whole series.

I enjoyed Far from Home quite a bit, but yeah its not as good as Homecoming. Then again lots of movies aren't as good as Homecoming so w/e. Had a great time and am interested to see where they take it now.

Still kind of annoyed that the girl who is not named Mary Jane now goes by MJ. I like the actress just fine, the name just irks me. Don't use that name! Its fine! Spider Man doesn't require a person named MJ in his life.

In other news, Avengers: Endgame is just $7.1 million away from passing Avatar as the highest-grossing film of all time. It could achieve that milestone within the next couple of weeks as the film is being re-released in various countries around the world.

It has been confirmed by multiple industry sources that Taika Waititi has signed a deal with Marvel Studios to write and direct Thor 4.

This is ridiculously good news, the man is a comedic genius. What he did with Ragnarok was nothing short of incredible.

Today at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Marvel Studios took to the stage in Hall H to reveal the upcoming movies and TV shows from the studio ā€“ including the next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and whatā€™s planned for Disney+. Here is all the news that came out of Hall H in one place!

Fans can look forward to these titles over the next two years:

To kick things off, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige announced Marvel Studios' The Eternals!
Marvel Studiosā€™ The Eternals starring Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, and Angelina Jolie as Thena. The Eternals, which will be directed by ChloĆ© Zhao, will come to theaters November 6, 2020.

Next up was the first show coming exclusively to Disney+, Marvel Studiosā€™ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier! Anthony Mackie (The Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier) came on stage to greet the fans, and it was revealed that Daniel BrĆ¼hl will return as the villain, Baron Zemo. Marvel Studiosā€™ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will come to Disney+ in the fall of 2020.

Next up is a classic Marvel Comics character making his movie debut -- Marvel Studiosā€™ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings starring Simu Liu in the title role. Appearing alongside Liu will be Awkwafina in an undisclosed role and Tony Leung as the (real) Mandarin. Marvel Studiosā€™ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. In theaters February 12, 2021.

Marvel Studioā€™s WandaVision, an original series starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, reprising their MCU roles as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Vision. Costarring with them is Teyonah Parris, whom Feige revealed would be playing the adult Monica Rambeau, who was introduced as a child in Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel. Marvel Studiosā€™ WandaVision will arrive on Disney+ in the spring of 2021.

The MCU's favorite trickster Loki will also make his way to Disney+! Marvel Studiosā€™ Loki, an original series starring Tom Hiddleston, will see the god of mischief causing even more trouble starting in the spring of 2021.

Marvel Studiosā€™ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange with Scott Derrickson returning as director. But joining Doctor Strange this time around will be the Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen. In another twist, the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will connect with the Disney+ series Marvel Studios' WandaVision. Marvel Studiosā€™ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will cast its spell in theaters May 7, 2021.

The legacy of the WHAT IF...? comics will be adapted for the screen! Marvel Studiosā€™ What Ifā€¦?, the first animated series in the MCU, will star Jeffrey Wright as the voice of The Watcher -- many actors from across the MCU will reprise their roles as voice talent. What Ifā€¦? will present alternate realities in the Marvel Universe that are set to warp your world in the summer of 2021, exclusively on Disney+.

Another character from the MCU will appear on the small screen: Marvel Studiosā€™ Hawkeye starring Jeremy Renner, who joined Kevin Feige onstage share more details about the show, which will introduce Kate Bishop, who has been hitting her mark in Marvel Comics. Marvel Studiosā€™ Hawkeye will come to Disney+ in the fall of 2021.

It was also revealed that someone from Thor's story will return to the MCU -- Natalie Portman will return for Marvel Studiosā€™ Thor: Love and Thunder, joining stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. Taika Waititi returns as director, and he confirmed that Jane Foster will become the Mighty Thor, goddess of Thunder. Marvel Studiosā€™ Thor: Love and Thunder will arrive in theaters November 5, 2021.

It looks like we're going to find out a lot more about Natasha Romanoff! Marvel Studiosā€™ Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson reprising her MCU role. She will be joined by David Harbour as Alexei AKA The Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as Yelena, O-T Fagbenle as Mason, and Rachel Weisz as Melina. Cate Shortland is directing. Marvel Studiosā€™ Black Widow will come to theaters May 1, 2020.

And if all this massive Marvel Studios news wasn't enough... Kevin Feige introduced Mahershala Ali as Blade! Not only that -- Marvel Studios' Blade will also slash its way into theaters!

This is just the beginning

Excited for Thor!

Anything taking place is alternate universe or in the past is little meh for me as a concept and most seem to be that haha. Intrigued by new Blade.

But where are all the heavy hitters? Like black panther, Captain marvel, antman, Spiderman?

Feige namedropped Black Panther 2, Captain Marvel 2, Fantastic 4 and mutants so my guess is that these films are scheduled for 2022 and beyond. Sony will probably be the one to announce Spider-Man 3.

Feige also confirmed that as of yesterday Avengers: Endgame was just 500k short of Avatar's record, which means that as soon as this weekend's box office results come in, Endgame will officially leave Avatar behind and claim the title of the highest grossing film of all time. Truly an astonishing achievement.

Also, here's last night's panel in full.

Sadly there are some audio cutouts, you can find the missing parts on youtube since it seems that multiple people uploaded them.

Didn't they say that they wouldn't do multiverse stuff for the MCU? It's right there in the title for doctor strange!
I remember Feige saying that the original Dr Strange would be the gateway to parralel realities and universes so I think the multiverse was always in the cards. It seems like the plan is to have three 'realms': eartch, cosmic and supernatural. I think that multiverse stuff will be largely contained in the movies of supernatural-related characters.

But he's no Wesley Snipes!:D But yeah the new Blade can be great with the new actor, he's been great in everything he's been in. I know MCU and NetflixU aren't connected but still little weird to have same actor in both.XD

And it's official! Avengers: Endgame has reached 2.7902 billion dollars, surpassing Avatar's 2.7897 and is now the biggest movie of all time!

Well, Marvel TV is under Ike Perlmutter which Feige famously had a falling out with so in reality only the shows that Feige himself produced can be considered canon, with the possible exception of Agents of Shield. It doesn't diminish the value of these shows, I really loved Daredevil for example, but I don't consider them part of the MCU continuity and obviously neither does Feige.
