Tsk, whyyyyyyyy. I just want to get rid of these worthless cards that I have to make badges.

Because it is the simplest thing to do to ensure trades are fair.

Otherwise, one would have to check the market prices to limit abuse.

I still have a copy of that (probably) cancelled Dead Island MOBA that showed up in my inventory ages ago. Can I get rid of that somehow?

New DLC out.

I finished Bloodstained tonight, and I've written a few big posts in the OT about my problems with the game, but to be more brief here, I will say that metroidvania is probably my favorite genre of games, I replayed SotN way, way too much, I even fell asleep to the soundtrack, I've made an effort to find more games of the genre on Steam, etc. Bloodstained I was hopeful for, but at the end of the day, I can't give it higher than ~6/10. It has a lot of potential and the foundations of being a real successor to SotN, but it has too many flaws and too many poor decisions to get there.

It has way too much RNG, and way too much grind. Those are both incredibly out of place mechanics in that type of game, and even though at first glance it looks like an evolution of SotN item drops, it's a massive step backwards. It totally breaks the flow of balance of the game to a degree that I can't recall in any other metroidvania I've played.

Too many bugs in Bloodstained.

I may have mentioned it here or elsewhere, but Steam has me at 18 hours while my game save has me at 12.

Let's be generous and say I wasted two hours of my time dying and not saving. That's still a gap of four hours worth of restarts and BSODs because of the bugs I encountered.

6.5

Let's say I had a bug-free experience. I don't think it touches Axiom Verge, let alone the pantheon of Hollow Knight, SotN, and Super Metroid.

It's more on par with Dandara and Sundered.

Who dis?

Tried that site but no luck :/

DBZ KAI Abridged?

But why?

When are they gonna ever finish the Cell Saga???

Wait, how far behind am I then??? Last I checked, they did that Broly movie, and were like "we got better things to do to pay the bills. PEACE OUT!!!"
The last episode of the Cell saga was divided into 3 parts, each of the parts was released 1 week apart from each other, and the 3 parts together were over 1 hour long, which is why it took so long to be ready.
Other than that, they did the Cell saga epilogue (DBZA Episode 60 epilogue), they did a christmas special, "Plan to Eradicate Christmas", Kai 2.9 Abridged for April fools, and now they're releasing Kai 3 abridged in 2 parts. They're also working on the Bojack movie.

I can't complain too much about the Steam sale because by the end I'm going to have used 9 or 10 coupons (they are regional priced so it's a lot less then $5), but yeah, it's been a mess. The very confusing rules, bugs and constant tweaking show they didn't plan this very well. Add to that the servers crapping out every time the sale updates (as usual) just to add to the confusion and you can see how people can get frustrated.

I know they wanted to have both coupons like that last sale but also increase the people engagement, but this was not a good way to do it.

Well... at least now you can see every event associated to your points so if you really want you can make a spreadsheet to verify everything.... but that's probably not a good strategy for a sale :p

They reduced the price for Argentina, 2999 -> 1799.

Better than nothing, Konami could definitely learn from them.

I hope Ni No Kuni price doesn't have this same pricing issue when it becomes available.

Could "Pressure" be them adding Index Controller tech into the new Steam Controller?

Effective immediately, all Zachtronics games are free for public schools and school-like non-profit organizations.
While I have my doubts about a lot of the efforts to gamify education in general, I still remember playing SpaceChem for the first time and thinking "wow, this a great way to teach some very hard concepts of programming like parallel processing and deadlocks". Their games since than have become even more useful tools for that kind of thing.

So great move and a lot of respect to them.

I apparently lost 2000 coins from my Lunar New Year Badge Level? ok valve

mine did that yesterday, and they came back around five hours later for some reason.
I've always apparently been short 2000 coins since the start of this sale. I'm not seeing any reason to care at this point. This has been the first time Valve has actually made me actively dislike the metagame of one of their sales. That being the case, I have played more (see any) TF2 than I ever have

Go play Bloodstained!

For me it really is the opposite, they made the grind fun finally and luck really matters and is boostable, I mean I'm filling my drop tables just for the hell of it.

This game not only fixed SOTN it fixed all the problems all the other portable Castlevania games had with their drop systems. looking at you card drop with a fixed 1% drop chance with an unfarmable enemy...

I know I'm not in the majority crowd, it seems generally well received, and I don't think it's a bad game, it's a decent game that shoots itself in both legs for no good reason. Luck (stat) does have a huge effect, but you are limited in how much luck you can get until very late in the game, putting you at the mercy of RNG for the rougher parts. I don't see how the farming is fun, though. It's finding the room with that enemy close to the door so you can walk in, kill enemy in likely 1 hit because you're already past this part and just need the drops for something, then turn around and do that over and over and over and then warp and walk to the NEXT enemy you need with drops for the same item and do that for 3 enemies for one item.

I like grinding in games that make it part of the actual experience, like Minecraft or Empyrion. In BS it's just what SotN had for grinding, times 20, and also requires a guide or spreadsheet to keep track of what drops what and what requires what. I can accept that people like the game more than me but you will never ever convince me the game wouldn't be better if the hundreds of components were cut down and had more overlap in crafting and monsters that dropped, and/or the drop rates were just way higher.

I did see a lot of people running into bugs, and the Switch version sounds like it's in rough shape, the only issue I ran into (besides the ubiquitous loot bag stuck) was the input lag. I would list almost every metroidvania I've played above it in overall fun, but I've mostly been happy with every one I've played. None are perfect, but they don't require RNG as part of the "are you having fun?" equation.

Didn't know Remedy was in such a bad place they're on a verge of selling to Sony. Would be a shitty deal for all gamers outside of Sony's ecosystem, I would prefer them going for a big 3rd party publisher, even friggin Epic, instead of that.

That would suck for me as a PC Gamer, but it's not enough to make me buy PlayStation hardware. Just another Western dev who makes a very specific type of game that Sony's 1st-party pretty much already has on lockdown.

So, whatever.

Honestly you'd think Sony would try for something new/different. Like a big MP studio who can make a GAAS. Or a JRPG dev. Instead they seem content to keep stuffing their portfolio full of "3rd-Person Action/Adventure" games. Which is fine. Makes it easier for me to ignore their 1st-party lineup if all they do is pander to Western wants these days.

========================

Btw, seems Death end Re;Quest 2 was announced. Ps4 only atm, but the 1st one came to PC and I suspect Iffy Intl. will port this one as well.
