At that time we still don't know anything about EGS and their moneyhat did we?
People knew that it would be bigger than Discord exclusives but back then the 88% rhetoric along with some popular indies getting exclusivity deals weren't this shitshow that we are now seeing. Things went downhill with Metro Exodus.

Not seeing that yet, it's been civil so far. But of course bad threads/comments will happen. And of course we'll get articles/tweets picking out the worst ones ignoring everyone else while blaming everyone.

Personally I'm not sure yet how I'll handle these games, of course devs like the Ooblets fools won't ever get my money but devs who weren't complete dicks about the whole thing, dunno yet. Paying full price is out of the window tho.
Yeah, I wishlisted the game as soon as I saw the steam page... then unwhishlisted it.
Why so fast, patience is a virtue. Don't want to be seen as entitled.

And on another note, I just shat my tempered glass set up, many feels, rarely nice.

God, has it already been almost a year since the bullshit started? Somehow feels like it was longer...

Don't think I'll be there day one for Hades. Pyre bored the shit out of me to the point where I dropped it after like 3 hours and Bastion was just kind of okay. Transistor is the only one of their games I truly loved. Plus, I kinda don't want to reward devs that take EGS deals. I don't blame them for it but that doesn't mean I have to pay full price lol. Besides, if it's still early access then eh.

Probably for the best.

As for Hades, I don't know how they expected their Early Access to go with an unproven platform with no social features, no bug reporting features and ill will about them having taken the game off Steam in the first place, where all of those things are easily accessibly if not built in. :thinking-blob:.

edit; As for Halo, I mean, I'll give MS the benefit of the doubt on this. Reach this year, the others shortly there after in sequence. Yes I know, I have no reason to give them that, given the last... 15 years of pc gaming, but I don't see much issue if they miss a release date for a game that was at best fantasy to expect on pc, let alone on decent store fronts

Honestly Super Giant is probably one of the least volatile amongst the "ew EGS" games though, they didn't shit all over their fanbase they explained why they were doing it and that was that, it just boils down to the weirdness of it all of epic.
At that time we still don't know anything about EGS and their moneyhat did we?
They didn't shit on their fans from a communication perspective, only from a functional perspective (i.e. making it exclusive at all). We did already know Epic was paying something for exclusives but we had no idea how much or how widespread it would be, because I emailed Supergiant because I was super disappointed. They didn't say "waaahhh entitled customer" but they did say that "Epic would be the best way to build a game in Early Access and communicate with their players" which I called them out on as a straight lie and they never responded again.

I loved Transistor and I love their worlds / art / storytelling, and I like A-RPGs, but I'm still not going to give them money anymore. They were still dishonest about why they were doing it and it clearly wasn't in their fans' best interests and they never really addressed that so meh.

Really interested in getting Remnant. Loosk really good, very positive Steam user ratings and it's a sequel to VR game Chronos which I liked a lot.

But it sadly have to wait. Have some other games I need to play through first like RDR2 (currently on chapter 6).

obviously a pricing error but who knows if they decide to honor it like apparently All You Can play will with their preorders.

If I may ask : is grey market ok on MC ? CDKeys may be the most legit grey market store, but it's still grey market.

On another forum, we don't share deals from grey market so I was wondering what's MC point of view. on the subject.
Cdkeys is ok, g2a is not ok

The difference is that the keys that cdkeys is selling are from regions with cheaper prices while g2a is selling keys that are stolen

I think my personal benchmark for what's ok and what isn't is if a grey market site is trying to sell you some sort of "fraud protection" for a purchase then the alarm bells should start ringing and the tab instantly closed.

But yeah, the only grey-market site I've used occasionally so far is cdkeys, they seem to be the most legit of the bunch. G2A and Kinguin are a nope.

So in Breath of the Wild, anyway to skip puzzles that involve motion controls, well not skip but at least do them with joysticks?
I assume you are talking about emulator? Back in the day I connected my phone (which has gyro of course) to my PC so I can use my phone as a makeshift wii controller.

Ah no I'm playing on the Switch.:D But motion controls are so frustrating. Googled a bit and seems you can cheat on those ball maze things by flipping the board upside down.:D It worked!

Is buying keys from another region still safe? I think I saw the news that it's being updated.
I'm not sure, I saw madjoki mention something yesterday about steam cracking down on using VPNs to activate keys. Usually cdkeys is pretty good at allowing or not allowing you to buy keys that you'll be able to activate.

I see, good for you. On emulator, the simulated gyro is so terrible that if you use it, the platform on the shrine is constantly spinning like a beyblade.

Not a fan of grey markets, but I'll admit that I've bought some stuff (particularly games that are no longer available on Steam, but still have box versions with keys) from Plati. Plati is weird platform in a sense that some of the sellers are, actually, have authorization to sell keys from the local pubs like Akella and Softclub, that makes them seem legit, but they also sell shit that they have no right to sell (i.e. cheap Humble keys). Overall, it seems to be a better place than G2A.
