They have all the ugliness of bloom and ps360 console limitations
Behold how thanks to PC gaming, we can free these games from these oppressive disgusting shackles, though we must still suffer the pitiful weak Captialist consoles' limitations, the sum is greater than its parts
Darq is awesome, amazing effort for only one person. The only issue I've had is the default controller set up, there are some conflicts on the ds4 at least. Right trigger is used for sprint but opens the menu as well! Stealth and shift 90 deg. are also mapped to the same key.
Yeah I recall reading a couple of comments on twitter mentioning controller issues. Apparently the developer released a patch that fixes any problem with Xbox controllers, but I'm not sure whether they're working on better support for Dual Shock too or not. Try mentioning it directly to the developer either on twitter or on Steam forums, he seems to be quick to respond there.
Did you like the first one as much too? I finished the first episode back when it first came out and never went back to it, despite really enjoying what I had played!

Why are you removing the developer's artistic choice?
Check a wiki entry about a character in a JRPG.

I'm the best at auto spoiling myself (almost certain this is a temporary death anyway).
As if the game wasn't shitty enough, I break the story beats by myself
Something is still fucked after the last Windows 10 August update.
(I had the problem that the Steam Overlay stopped working in Shibuya Scramble and Danganronpa didn't start anymore -> white screen, kill with task manager. I thought I "fixed" it when I reinstalled the graphics card driver, but for some reason that worked for a day....)
I have no idea what else could be affected, but it's getting a bit annoying. Uninstalling the update is a guaranteed fix, but that's kinda not an option with those security fixes.
It appeary to be DirectX (9) related, because Danganronpa starts just fine in the OpenGL mode. I'm grasping at straws here, any ideas? I really don't want to refresh my windows install :/
I'd like to help investigate this with you. I have some DX9 games installed. ... sadly my next day off isn't until Wednesday however.
In the meantime, can you tell me how to replicate the problem exactly and also what version of Windows specifically? I'm on 1903, but AFAIK, totally up-to-date as can be.
This pre-release battle has dragged on long enough... (If you wonder why is Thea lying like that while she still has some HP left, it's because she's playing dead.) Everything is finally (*ahem*) ready for the release of Nod's route, and it's coming into Early Access on September 5th! We...

Minotaur maybe finally going into EA in September. But they've been moving the release countess times now, so don't bet money on it.
Over the last few years, the perception around Steam has changed somewhat. Valve's storefront has gone from being the biggest name in PC gaming to having a more problematic relationship with both...
Well, well, well. Rockstar have removed their games from GeForce Now and people are speculating it's because of Google Stadia buying the exclusive streaming rights and people are pissed. The penny has just dropped for a bunch of people that exclusives are shitty and the mood is shifting to "wait for sale" on any streamed purchases.
Thank you to Google, Rockstar and NVidia for helping to show the issues with streaming and exclusives. Good work.

Thanks! But don't stress yourself, it's not that bad I tried some more games I had installed and it looks like most are working just fine, but A Hat in Time is also giving me problems. I found a thread on the Steam forums where people experience the same problem (and can "fix" it by uninstalling the Windows Update as well).
I'm on Win 10 1903 build 18362.295
I'm on the newest Nvidia Driver (436.02) as well now (was 1 version behind when this happened, but nothing changed).
As for how to reproduce it... well, there's nothing special really. I installed the August 13th update and that was it. I start Danganronpa and get a white screen. Nothing happens and I need to close it with the Task Manager.
A Hat in Time instantly crashes after the UE4 logo.
Here's the relevant part in the A Hat in Time log:
Same. I'm loving it so much! I really hope it's at least as successful as LiS1, because it is better game in every way - the story, characters and writing are miles ahead of of LiS1. I know a lot of people were bummed about LiS2 not being a direct sequel, or not starring a girl, or whatever, but I hope more people buy it once all of the episodes are out.

I understand where the dislike for the game is coming from but I honestly liked a lot of things about it even from only playing the first episode. The atmosphere, the music, the art, the story, and of course, the supernatural bits. Gonna have to get back to it one of these days.
Just to add regarding the Enslaved screens I posted: Playing the game, to me the colours look fine. If the screenshots make them look flat or washed out to you, that's fine.
Gonna make a guide that compiles all info to help improve the game's visuals and fix any silly graphical stuff such as shadows on character models later.

Nah it's definitely better without all that post processing. If there was an option to tone down the bloom down then maybe it could enhance the visuals a little, but that default setting is way overdone. The green filter can piss off though
the game seems to imply that travelling in time and messing with the timeline is wrong (which leads to the storm) so the solution to everything is to.... Time travel to prevent everything from happening by letting Chloe die.
So... Time travel bad, except when time travel good?

I gotta admit: I was going through my Steam Discovery Queue and for the first time, one of those "fan service" games caught my attention. I did a double-take. Made me genuinely curious.
Some VR Strip Club game. They had made a game like that before, and they posted a screenshot of the girls, and there were like 40 flavors of blonde. Hurt my eyes, the lack of notable variation.
In this game though, the cover art included an unambiguously black woman with curly hair as an "option."
I was immune to those kinds of games before then. Now I'm triggered.
I'm glad I have ppl on my friends list who would ask questions if I bought it. That's the kind of ish that could make me relapse.
I can see Streaming Services and Publishers splitting gaming chasing those whales for sure but i've seen consoles and mobile do that too so eh, i'll just keep pootling along looking at games i do want to play rather than ones i can't. The GFN service is currently a Beta so no-one has paid but it has opened people's eyes to some issues with these services that they hadn't considered. It also shows that there is a market for these services as many comments are from people who don't have PCs that can play GTA5 natively. Many people will just go find the next free service to try but some have to decide to possibly pay a sub for Stadia or update their PCs so they can play it.
Have Google said what happens to games you bought on Stadia if they close the Service or stop supporting the game? I take it you'll be SOL?
Still, It'll be interesting to see how it'll play out in the long run. It's a new frontier and i'm stocking up on popcorn and settling down to watch from the sidelines.
What happens to a game I bought if the publisher stops supporting Stadia in the future? Can I still play the game?
Yes. Once you purchase the game, you own the right to play it. In the future, it is possible that some games may no longer be available for new purchases, but existing players will still be able to play the game. Outside of unforeseen circumstances, Stadia will aim to keep any previously purchased title available for gameplay.
I mean it's a given if they close the service your games are gone, nobody needs to even ask that. It's a streaming service, not a digital distribution service like Steam to think you could also download and play your game in offline mode if they shut down (not that I'd trust Steam to offer this for 100% of the games, sure they've said it in the past here and there but if the company's in such financial trouble they risk closing I doubt it would be a priority to develop this system (and offline mode is finicky currently with plenty people having to log online once in a while to get that to work again so at its curent state it's not a safe bet against such a possibility). If they also wanted to make a digital distribution service with that feature then they'd be doing that (like Google Play I guess). That's not what Stadia is. For games no longer supported by the developer/publisher outside the given service it's the same as anywhere, plenty stuff on gog and Steam more or less require fan patches and fixes, at least if you're on an up to date system rather than on a PC that resembles the system you had when you first bought the game (which might not even be possible as Steam has upped OS requirements a couple times), if such patches weren't available you'd already be sol and they're essentially sold broken out of the box (if they're still sold). Of course fan patching is impossible for streaming games but I do trust they'd do what they can, after all it's a version of the game made to work on their service, they can likely ensure compatibility on their end when they do service upgrades but we'll see. As they say, there may be unforeseen circumstances (and probably some compensation to the user if some game does break in such a situation).

Customer: "Ah, Hades is on sale, 15% off on Epic, not much, but Im gonna check if Steam has the game first." checks Steam
Customer: "Oh, it's out on Steam in december. Just gonna wait for Steam release then."
Kinda feels like Supergiant screwed Epic over here by putting the store page and a release date so many months before the actual Steam release.
For me, the worst part of idling games is that the cards actually don't drop. I have 800+ cards to drop, but IdleMaster Extended doesn't work and Arachi Farm or whatever it's called doesn't work either. Have no idea why.
I'm using that Idle Master fork with a dark theme and the handy fast mode and I've let it idle overnight, 30 games each time for two hours, about 400 games left that still need to reach 2 hours.
The issue is that since Steam was bugged for me during the summer sale, my account is limited regarding card drops due to the automatic refunds done back then. So I need to let all those 400 games idle up to 2 hours, then re-idle them for the cards. Worth to note: the drops apparently will only drop once my playtime reach 3 hours.
It's automatic though and I'm super thankful for that, but it will take so long zzzzz

Telling lies is cool so far. Starting to put a story together. I dont think it's quite as good as her story as I think piecing a story together from one POV is cooler
