oh my fucking god I found it

It's called
Dead Static Drive
If you dip in and out of the indie games community on Twitter, you’ll have likely seen a gif of Dead Static Drive going viral from developer Mike Blackney. They all seem too. Beneath the bugs and funny clips that Mike posts though, there’s a truly tense survival road trip game in Dead Static Drive that’s being coined as “Grand Theft Cthulu”. Set in a nostalgic yet rundown version of a fictional America, you’re set to drive around, explore towns and landmarks but as the trip continues, you’ll meet creeping horrors in which you have to escape. The more I see of this game, the more questions I have and the more enticing it becomes.

It was discussed on the rra thread st least.
Steam could check to see if ur using a vpn to redeem a key and prevent key redemption.
No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I guess I may need to pirate some games then since this may mean that I will have no legal way to buy Super Robot Wars and SD Gundam for PC in the US.

I've been thinking about this regarding region restricted games. Outright pirating is bad and I won't encourage it, but what if there's something that we can give the publisher instead? For example, donating money directly to them would be preferrable, be but I'm not sure if it's easy to reach them that way. Another way is by buying something else from them, whether it's games that we probably will never play or some useless DLC/MTX stuff. I guess that still won't justify piracy but at least we give them something in return.

Wow. The Nvidia RTX code for Wolfenstein YoungBlood and Control is selling for 10 bucks on Ebay. Non-Steam Keys ain't selling like that.
Damn, that’s tempting. But EGS...
Would be fucking ironic if I caved too, since I only played Max Payne 1 and am not in love with it, don’t give a fuck about Remedy and all I took from Alan Wake are too many cranks and unfinished plot.
But corporate hell, Cthulhu mytho, and even a fridge so evil that one person must watch it at all time in order to keep its evil in check (!)
Meh, but I wouldn’t want to give the EGS people satisfaction :blobvomiting:

Well, there are people selling access to Steam account with Wolfenstein Youngblood. Why isn't eBay banning these listings?

Damn, sexual assault, corporate apologism, an ex-mod on another board still being a giant douche. It's 8:38am FFS, my head is already dizzy.

Wow, the Night in the Woods dev is really fucked up

Wow that sucks.

On a positive note, the two writers of NitW have already founded their own studio and are working on a couple of games without Alec. They’re are as talented as it gets and they really don’t deserve to be dragged down by this shit.

Is this the same Zoe that did a kickstart game and then sort of ran of with the money (or at least made very bad use of the money) or something like that? I'm not sure if it's the same person but that's what came to mind when I saw the name [spoiler/

Yes, that's her. Not that it makes any difference in this particular instance.

Fuck that, TWO sexual assaults. While I’m very not fond of this court of public opinion thing, the portrait these statements paint is absolutely beyond the pale. This industry has severe issues to deal with, the sooner the better.

As long as women are shamed into silence, these kinds of thing will ran rampant in any industry with scumbags in power willing to prey on people's weaknesses. As such, the people speaking up is a good thing. Of course ideally this should always lead into some form of legal recourse, but often these things don't leave hard evidence. I am not sure where the solution to this lies, but listening is certainly a good first step.

Don't know if there's anywhere else to put this but ... Microsoft just released DirectX12 for Windows 7... 6 months before it goes out-of-support. Odd.

GHacks - Microsoft Brings DX12 Support to Windows 7

DX12 on Windows 7 - Developer Notes on MS Github

It's not automatic, so it's not every game as Developers will need to code-in support themselves but i thought it might interest a few people here.
Could be for better support in China, where Windows 7 is still huge and will be even far after official support. Guess MS is just caving in to pressure from devs?

I've already told myself I'd wait for Control until next year but jeez that's such a good deal. Why do you have to tempt me like that.

Browsing ebay in search of good switch games deals, no luck. But it lead me to wonder why the fuck a lot of people/store sell their games at a higher price than Amazon. Are there really people who will buy Yoshi at 60 euros instead of 44,45 ? Is it just a case of badly automatized store management ? :pingblob:
