when i finished darksiders 3 this weekend i couldnt decide on anything to play next as i didnt feel like sinking time into anything lenghty right now. i of course made the wise decision to buy the AC:eek:d season pass since it was on sale for a game i already sunk 70+ hours into. good thing a long weekend is coming up

Massive patch with plenty of great additions like a storage box.

Not a big Mega Man man myself and too many to keep them all apart, are the games in that new collection well regarded?

The Zero series are. They do not feature the Rock-paper-scissors weakness system the baseline series are known for for one thing. Zero can find or unlock additional equipment or skills and the games can give a good challenge.

I haven't played any of those Megaman Collection games yet :face-with-cold-sweat:
I think I've played some game way back, but I don't remember which one.
My familiarity with the franchise pretty much starts and ends with the NT Warrior anime (which was damn awesome).

I wish they would fix up the Megaman X collections. Those are the only ones I care about and last I looked they were still just worse than emulating, which is too much of a hassle so I haven't played them since I got rid of my PS2 ages ago :p

Damn I knew it was this game you were referring to but I couldn’t remember the name for the life of me. Glad you find it.
I'm just happy I was able to finally figure it out, I knew what it looked like but was totally forgetting any kind of name

My stance is that pirating an eggscloosie really isn't worth it because there are a gajillion other great games to spend time with that are available on platsform of my choice and deserve the money.
Agreed. It just sucks when you can't buy a game because it's been delisted or because it's region locked. In these two cases you are left with no choice but to... "acquire" a certain game if you want to play it, since the rights holders will see no money from you either way.

What's with the long name?

You know you can change that Capcom
Yeah, its irritating how they still keep doing this and haven't updated the store names for their other games. Yet, Koei Tecmo and Iffy actually update their store pages which properly show the localized game name for each/certain language.

FM pre-orders are up. Regional pricing is not great but might be a solid pick next year in a 30% ~ 50% sale.
I was addicted to this game back in 2002 when it was Championship Manager until about 2009. I'm pretty sure I spent hundreds of hours year on year. How is the game nowadays compared to that period? Will it feel like a massive jump if that was the last time I played it or is it just more of the same?

I'm baffled that there isn't any outrage about the €70 (80 dollars) price for Gears of War 5 on Steam. That's €10-€20 more expensive than other AAA games on Steam, and the same price than console games.

If Microsoft gets away with this, there's a huge chance other publishers will start charging that price as well.

So, I only played a 2008 manager and the newest one, FM19 so I can't really say how you feel but my first experience was that FM19 was super overwhelming. I closed the game as soon as I stared into the abyss that it truly is.

I went back to it shortly and decided to take on and yeah, it's a super deep game, and while the game gives you the option to automatize certain things (a lot, actually), you will want to have more and more control as your team grow, to the point where getting ready for a big match could take hours alone due to setting proper training for your players, booking friendlies to try out formations and a lot more. Again, I don't know how CM fair compared to it, but it's a good game that makes you want to improve and understand it more and more every match you play.

This year FM new features haven't been discussed yet but one thing that is apparent is that social networks will impact you a lot more than before. So you will also have to satisfy your fans and based on what fans meant on FM19, this don't mean 'winning = fans happy', as in FM19 it was possible to see people criticizing you for not using or misusing a player. I imagine that this will add another whole layer to building a squad and signing players if implemented correctly.

btw:

remember to pick the Stadia version for that juicy unnanounced feature that is only possible on Google™ Stadia®

Agreed, but I won't deny that if they released Forza for that price I would be super tempted.

I want Forza on Steam so badly

Im gonna just play Gears 5 through PC game pass. Halo however will be bought on Steam. Not even shitty regional pricing for Halo will defeat my interest for it.

They may try.
But I guess people will play Gears through a free or $1 month of Gamepass and then if they like the game, they will wait for a deep, deep sale on Steam.
Not sure how that'd work out for other pubs. MS clearly doesn't care for money, MAU is where it's at for them now.

Well Halo is going to be $10 per game so not sure how bad regional pricing can even be there

Thanks for the detailed answer! Football Manager 2008 was the last one I played seriously, while I only played 2009 for maybe two months after release so your experience is actually kind of relatable for me. It also doesn't surprise me that you found FM2019 pretty overwhelming compared to FM2008, since that series always was very complex. That's why I fell in love with it back in the day as a bored teenager with tons of time to kill, so it stands to reason that a decade long jump would mean a much different and bigger experience. I started getting an itch to dive back into Football Manager for a few years now, but I've always felt that I'm way too busy nowadays to fit a game like that into my schedule. The itch is getting a little stronger though this year, so maybe I'll try to get back into the series with FM2020. I suppose I can play it casually as a "side game", but I'm afraid I'll get sucked into that little abyss you are talking about :sweaty-blob:

That bit about the effects of social media on your success in the game is news to me. It sounds a little too close for comfort though, considering it's one of the main reasons why one of the greatest managers of all time was hounded out of the club I support. It is a football simulation game after all, so I guess it makes sense to include systems like that in it, however dumb they may be. One thing I remember in particular about playing Football Manager was this fun little game I had with a friend of mine where we would be trying to find hidden gems in the game as we play it and then follow those players in real life. as much as televised football matches and the internet allowed us back in 2004-2007, (I take full credit for Sergio Aguero btw :p) and then compare our "eye for talent", because that's 100% how clubs legitimately find these players in real life :ROFLMAO:

Interesting. I guess a management game like Football manager should translate well enough on a streaming service for the two or three dozens of people with good enough internet to play it :p

So Control is hot off the oven on the torrents, I guess remedy and 505 already got all the monies with the deals with Sony, Nvidia and Epic that they don't care.
Why even Pirate it? just view it on Youtube.
I don't even know what the game is about after 1 hour watching it. Gameplay seems to be boring gunplay that is not in any form special.
is it something like Beyond two souls?
