It's impossible to pass the 'signing in' screen if you have more than 300 friends indeed (at least for me), had to delete about 30 folks from my fl.
I abandon social life for gaming. Work and family are still my priority, but I focus all of my free time on gaming.
If by work/social life balance you mean posting on MC whilst at work, then uh yeah, consider it "balanced". 
I always just assumed I stunk at games, since I take FOREVER to make any progress in them. Also, I like jumping around.
Even my most played games, I only have about 50 hours or so... KotOR, Witcher 3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution...
Guess I just don't play enough. Life always gets in the way for me: work, household tasks, friends/family, gym, other entertainment/hobbies, etc.

Speaking of finding time to game... think I might be getting a cold and thankfully I got paidnfor a gig so I can get the new Dragons Quest for switch and just be in bed and play!
This was probably the first summer I didn't play any games at all. I didn't really miss it, spent lots of time outside with my dog Yoshi, and since switching into a new field career wise, there is always something interesting going on at work that demands quite a bit of problem solving so when I do get home, my brain wants to just chill for a bit. Other hobbies also have taken more of my time, in the past months.
I finished my first game of the year last weekend. I usually dabble in lots of different games, and never force myself to finish anything I lose interest in.
I'm always pretty amazed at how many games people get thru here, for the most part my personal friends either just play 1 or 2 games that never really end (sports, service games like DOTA, siege,etc) , or they pop in and out of different games but I doubt anyone I know personally actually finishes more than 10 games a year these days.

Haha wow, I downloaded a 5gb update to my OS, after download was done and installing it it complained that I didn't have enough space to work on the update so it booted up into old version so I could free up some space, so instead of trying to update again now I have to download the 5gb update AGAIN.T_T

YEEEEEES! RE7 runs great! Sure I use a ancient 1680x1050 resolution but it works great for a laptop screen. I can even have high graphics setting and still get 60fps. Bloody awesome I tell you, I was legit worried it wouldn't run over 30fps on low settings.

Ugh. Pretty disgusting off topic stuff, people with some sort of phobia involving insects avoid.
So, I, along with a small group of neighbors, tend to a bunch of stray cats living around our apartment building. They have their own little corner where someone placed a small kennel, and we bring food and other stuff there. So, it was always kind of a dirty corner, but last night I went and find a whole fucking bunch of roaches eggs and larvas crawling on and around the wall where all the cat stuff is. I’m disgusted and sorry for the cats who have to live around that stuff, even if they probably couldn’t care less. We should probably act before they turn into actual nasty insects but I have no clue what to do or who to call.

I really really enjoyed their previous game, Gremlins, Inc. so I am very much looking forward to this. Same designer as Eador: Genesis, too.
It does effect also some other games too, like Anno and Resident Evil.
It's related to the SteamAPI and the devs misplaced it or something, or so I was told.
