OMG!!!!! I need this. This game looks really cool, :
It's a mix of FPS games like Heretic/Hexen, with RPG elements.
Reminds me of the Witchaven games.

I could definitely handle 30 or even a lower number if it was consistent, but I was getting 9 with annoying drops down to 6 in busier areas lmao.Yeah having low FPS in Disco isn't much of an issue, I only around 30fps but it feels smooth either way.
But they never said anything about Humble Choice! And Disco Elysium, because the dev promised that the game would not appear in a Humble Monthly bundle.
Any news on release date or something (trailer is from 2017..)?This game looks really cool, :

Yes it does, and I'll be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about that. This looks too much like Witchaven, like it hasn't learned any lessons from gaming since, but it is only a reveal trailer - and it is fun to watch people explode to death from punches.OMG!!!!! I need this.

is that... Canadian Tire money?
Still no release date. But, the developer posted last month about possibly launching at the end of the year.Any news on release date or something (trailer is from 2017..)?
The game is obviously "old school" in terms of look and design, but if you check a bit more about the game, it has a few things on its sleeves (like weapons with poison effects, spell systems, decapitations/gibs, ...).Yes it does, and I'll be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about that. If I understand, you want to subscribe to Humble now so you get the Classic plan grandfathered in when it switches to Humble Choice. Then you can keep the grandfathered plan as long as you stay subscribed. What it the process of new Humble Monthly user to gain most value of the new model?
Subscribe to yearly now?
I could see where they were trying to go with the story, but it was just executed poorly. The character writing left a lot to be desired too. The platforming I will defend because the movement options are actually pretty fun once you get used to them, but it takes for fucking ever to get them (there's absolutely no excuse for how long it takes you to get an air dash). The battle system I feel has a lot of potential, but there's not enough variety in the enemy types to really justify it (the only variations are the shields and the throw guys). Plus the enemies are tanky as hell, but that's apparently being fixed next patch.Indivisible is this weird mess of a game where I like the art style and soundtrack but dislike the story and the boring platforming section while the gameplay is just ok. Even the people who like it acknowledge that it has a lot of flaws.
That demo video does look more interesting than the trailer, and now that I know it's mainly 1 dev, yeah that changes things a bit. Expectations adjustedThe game is obviously "old school" in terms of look and design, but if you check a bit more about the game, it has a few things on its sleeves (like weapons with poison effects, spell systems, decapitations/gibs, ...).
Additionally, the game is either being done by a single developer, or mainly by a single person with some help, so naturally expectations about its scope should take that into consideration.
By the way, I found a gameplay video of the demo:
Does that mean we can pause it at any time, as I've been thinking what fokkusu has, and keep the grandfathered rate when i reactivate it? I might just have sign up and see how big they're going to go the first couple months if that is the case. If pausing drops the grandfathered pricing, im less interestedIf I understand, you want to subscribe to Humble now so you get the Classic plan grandfathered in when it switches to Humble Choice. Yes, they originally stated pausing is fine and keeps you on Classic and then on Twitter replied to state that you can pause as long as you want (just go in each month to manually pause as it'll unpause each month).Does that mean we can pause it at any time, as I've been thinking what fokkusu has, and keep the grandfathered rate when i reactivate it? It should be an Event! With Fireworks and shit!I will never understand why people have the opinion of ‘Steam sales are boring!’. As if the act of purchasing should amuse them.
They 100% are trying to keep Hello Neighbor relevant by any means. It sucks, yeah, but they probably are trying to build hype for Secret Neighbor Steam launch.Anyone else annoyed with the hello neighbor alphas and betas spamming Steam new releases? >_>
Seems quite desperate and like they'd be better served if they were at least labeled as free DLC for the game(s) they actually want to sell.
Or at least make one of the alpha branches the freebie game then the rest versions as free DLC for that. I dunno. Whatever. This sucks
Steam sales used to have meta games and prizes and giveaways, it's not surprising that people who remember when sales were like that might not see them in the same light now.I will never understand why people have the opinion of ‘Steam sales are boring!’. Yea I figured. I guess there are a lot of "soulslike" which could be clasified as 3D metroidvanias then. I wish there were more that leaned more on the metroid/castlevania and less on the "souls".Yes they are, although you generally advance with keys and items and shit rather than getting new powers.
Yeah, I'm getting that.If you're nutso and want to own everything: SCS Software Bundle on Steam
77% off to celebrate the 7th birthday of ETS2. Not bad if you already own a good portion of it.
The first Dark Souls and Sekiro are very metroidvania with their vertical level design. Some areas in Sekiro are off limits until you unlock/discover new abilities. So still playing ReCore, why are there no 3D metroidvanias? Seriously Metroid Prime was a hit like a decade ago and no one thought to make a "clone"? There are 100s of 2D metroidvanias but not many 3D. Are Dark Souls games considered "metroidvanias"?
Remember Epic's fire sale? It was so much funI will never understand why people have the opinion of ‘Steam sales are boring!’. As if the act of purchasing should amuse them.
I am aware of that. I guess I just find it too strange when people want to make the act of purchasing goods as something fun. I dunno.Steam sales used to have meta games and prizes and giveaways, it's not surprising that people who remember when sales were like that might not see them in the same light now.
edit: Just got an isthereanydeal reminder that grip is historical low on gamersgate ($12..75)... dare I temp so close to the fall/winter sale?

Yea I have it, it is great. I am just more surprised there are no A-AA-AAA metroid-likes.
yeah, you can say that again ... i have around 180 games installed right now ... all of them are "must play" for me ... and i started playing pretty much all of them ... and then new games kept coming outI'll probably get Disco soon, just trying to finish off my backlog but keep getting distracted by all these new games.
i already did own everything i always buy SCS stuff at release, lolIf you're nutso and want to own everything
I dont think people are mad because purchasing isnt fun, but the games themselves used to be. And when they came with legitimate prizes, it made sense to focus on them during a sale. Now it's just a time waster to see if I get a coupon or some such.I am aware of that. I guess I just find it too strange when people want to make the act of purchasing goods as something fun. I dunno.
Taking a recent example, the race thingy. You either picked Corgi or lose everyday. The Cozy Steam Sale was just clicking on a different part of the screen everyday.
i guess people liked their coal too much.
It was super fun, you never knew which game would increase its price or be removed from the store next!Remember Epic's fire sale? It was so much fun
I mean that's great, but I promised I wouldn't eat this churro I had on my desk but I don't have a churro anymore on my desk so like we'll see I guessAnd Disco Elysium, because the dev promised that the game would not appear in a Humble Monthly bundle.
Delusions are different than promises. And i promised myself to have a cosplaygf by the end of the year, take a guess how that one worked out!!
promises are for losers
I would like to say that all the events and giveaways back in "the good old days" are a bit affected by nostalgia goggles.Steam sales used to have meta games and prizes and giveaways,
the only thing i really miss from steam seals are the flash dealsI would like to say that all the events and giveaways back in "the good old days" are a bit affected by nostalgia goggles.
yeah, the flash deals were cool ... i always liked checking the store to see what's currently in the flash dealsMaybe it's just like lashman said and i miss the flash sales, which is the times id normally check the metagames too
In my younger days, , i would wake up in the wee hours to make sure the 2am flash deals werent ones i wanted to miss. To hell with sleep!yeah, the flash deals were cool ... i always liked checking the store to see what's currently in the flash deals
