Pathway is currently on sale.
The game recently received an extensive update based on user feedback, and reviews of the latest version are very positive:

There are bundles of the game with other titles from the developer and publisher, so if you own some, you may get an even better deal.

It's 7,55€ in one of the dynamic bundles, the game's recent reviews are 96% positive. I think it's time to get it. ;)

AI War II released today out of early access:

It has a quite troubled development history, but in the end it came together in parts due to the help of some community members who where granted access to the source code:

If somebody is interested: I have an 25% off coupon for the game.

And still only my second favorite Bad Company song:

Haha, I discovered the band with this song, thanks to Rock Band 2. Loved playing that one. I also learned about Fleetwood Mac playing "Go your own way" in the same game.

Man, Rock Band 2 had some amazing music.

Fairy Fencer F is a game I've been curious to try for a while, I always have too much on my plate though.

I'll at least get the $1 tier to finally have Trillion, might go all in since everything seems well reviewed and Fairy Fencer Dark F Advent Title Continues on For Forever is also a long-time wishlist entry.

Well I mean as long as Wrestling fans dole out top dollar for broken shit they're going to keep pushing out broken shit?

so I guess the problem here is the fan and the devs?
Also I had to clear a few rogue likes from my wishlist because that genre drives me nuts

why tf are you people making such intriguing games with promises and then do that??????

I don't know how or what

but holy shit I want both heavy gears or that wolverine's origin game on Steam

gotdamn
Oof, it's one of those

Would be nice if there was sequel in the near future or a remaster

RIP Monolith Production
HEY REMEMBER WHEN ACTIVISION WASN'T OBNOXIOUS?

REMEMBER WHEN VIDEO GAMES WERE FUN?

NO ONE REMEMBERS THAT EVER!

Bad Company 3 is rumored to be 2020's Battlefield title actually.

The problem is:

A) I have zero trust in them after the shitshow of balancing, bugs and content dearth in BFV.

B) DICE themselves years ago said they had no idea what people liked about Bad Company.

C) A significant part of the team "DNA" that built those games like David Goldfarb (designer on BFBC, BFBC2, BF2) or Gustav Tilleby (art director on BF2, BFBC2, BF3, BF4, BF1, Battlefront 2 that left for Söderlund's new studio) are gone from DICE altogether, or in other cases often moved onto different roles within the company.

I'd love for BFBC3 to be good, but I have no idea what it'll turn out like under the current iteration of DICE.
I have not played that many DICE games but of the ones that I have played BBC2 was the one I liked the most and sunk the most amount of hours into. I also play BF3 and BF4 and I just didn't like them.
I even tried playing the Medal of Honor reboot game and it just didn't feel right.

I wouldn't trust Dice with anything next year. Remember new consoles are coming and BF4 was a shitshow for months when it came out around the time PS4 and X1 launched. This time around you have 2 new consoles and you got PS4/X1 pro + vanilla versions for them to take care of too. Oh and PC version so yea wtvr game they release next year will need to be optimized for 7 different platforms basically. I wouldn't be surprised if winds up being their biggest disaster yet. And EA will look for every opportunity to inject some shitty microtransactions into it all too. They'll need to recoup all the money for this skipped year.

I regret to inform you of today's old man screaming at clouds

I don't even understand the crux of the critique.
Games, by contrast, are supposed to be entertainment—and yet they demand toil in leisure’s pursuit.
What's the meaningful difference between deriving enjoyment from the "work" of a game versus the "work" of cooking or participating in a sport? Isn't this literally describing any non-consumption based hobby?

It also seems like he's weirdly trivializing other entertainment mediums?
Game-play—the work of working a game—is fundamentally irritating, at least in comparison with other media forms. It’s easy to pass the eyes over the pages of a book, or to bathe in the waves of image and sound at the cinema or in your living room.

Like that fundamentally isn't true. The basic conceit of reading words off a page is easy at a theoretical level, but the specific level of effort required can vary greatly depending on whether I'm ready Dr. Seuss or James Joyce. Reading Ulysses feels a lot like "work" to me, but that doesn't mean there's not a value in doing so.

The critique of meme-based culture is actually pretty interesting, but the stuff before it about gameplay is just tedious nonsense.

This is the only bundle you weebs should be buying today.. (embedding the bundle doesn't work for whatever reason :huhblob:)

I'm super stoked that we're getting 3 more Muv-Luv. Of course it'll be the year of 2021 A.D. before we're getting in the west, but after the disappointment of Uta mobage thing, hearing the RPG one isn't a gacha game is something I'm legit excited about.
