Nintendo finally added (a limited) Family Sharing feature
Nintendo allowing digital games to be lend to other players is a massive W, i like this system more than steams family sharing even

Pretty underwhelming Direct, IMO, but at least my expectations weren't too high given the extremely weird timing. Switch 2 Direct next week had better deliver, though; hoping for some major multiplatform announcements from that

Metroid prime 4 is a perfect example of how much name brand alone gets people jizzing themselves. If that trailer was stripped of the name and nintendo logo and played in some other show everyone would go "huh, looks kind of like MP" and then shrug their shoulders and forget about it instantly. There is nothing special about this game every time it's shown off.

It's hard with viral releases. Sometimes it's just the meme-factor. Most of the time there's something unique on offer that creates the value. A novelty factor that draws attention.
It's so easy to be dismissive with content of this nature. It came out of nowhere. Doesn't have much of a production budget. No advertising, media coverage or pre-release hype.

But that train of thought never flew with me 'cause I don't think entertainment products need to stand the test of time to be deemed worthy of one's attention. Sometimes experiences really are a flavor of the moment. And that moment can be incredibly sweet, even if it doesn't ultimately prove to have legs.
If I'm legit enjoying something right here, right now, like who cares if I never look at it again in 3 weeks, lol.

Yup it should work on Chrome on Mac. You don't need anything else. You just have to go to your inventory, click on advanced filters, click on marketable, and then you can just quick sell each item.

Huh, Patapon, Everybody's Golf, Saga Frontier 2. I suppode Saga Frontier 2 isn't that surprising considering, but still. I guess SF1 remaster did well enough.
Good to finally have confirmation for the Raidou remaster. Surprised it's only the first game for now, though, since the achievements "leak" included them for both games. I guess they're probably working on both but doing individual releases so they can charge more than they would for a collection. Don't really have an issue with that since it seems to be a fairly high effort remaster. As long as they do Digital Devil Saga next, I'll be happy.

I do find it odd that they seem to be removing the franchise names from their games. I can understand removing SMT as it can become a mouthful but Soul Hackers 2 and now this both also dropped the Devil Summoner moniker. Like, there's no way just "Raidou" has more brand recognition than SMT or even just Devil Summoner lol.

It will probably be nominated. Nintendo usually gets a token nomination no matter how basic the game is.
Prime looks so good (and the series was never so popular and hot selling hence why another Prime wasn't even happening for so long and Metroid barely was, people always smack talk about the fabled N fanboys ensuring the success of crap they wanna diss yet so often they don't, from games to whole past systems). I'd be fine if that was on Switch 2 (cos it's smooth 60fps more than anything) but it's on the original. Great job by N. Environments will be so lovely to explore

Really happy with that Raidou remaster remake!
Except it only applies to digital games. It’s not the best family sharing feature, but let’s not imply they’re putting online activation and account linking on game carts.
The uproar about Xbox was that it turned your game discs into coasters after you’d put it in your console.
This is when i invested like 400 bucks into Ubisoft. I am very smart. Please turn it around already.

I think all bets are off about what is and isn’t possible anymore.
I'm glad something is happening with these older/more niche PlayStation IPs but fuck me is it not telling that Sony can't be bothered to do them themselves.
To me it confirms that Sony doesn't care a jot about anything pre PS4 beyond bare minimum/low hanging fruit and/or nostalgic lip service that they can throw in ads.
Meanwhile Astro Bot is brilliant and the best first party game they've made in ages imo and seems like we're lucky to have it
