I use both vs code and just straight in terminal.Le Pertti what’s your programming setup on your Mac?
Thanks, I’m thinking about getting a M4 mini and I‘d like to dabble in mobile dev.I use both vs code and just straight in terminal.![]()
Then it might actually be good to try out apples coding thingie, Xcode, it’s pretty complicated but also really cool in that you can test apps directly on a emulated phone on the computerThanks, I’m thinking about getting a M4 mini and I‘d like to dabble in mobile dev.
AdGuard didn’t work? I’ve been using that for a while now and seems to work. I don’t know about on YouTube though since I pay for that.Purchased the ad blocket Wipr 2, seems to work good so far.
Haven’t tried that one, actually.AdGuard didn’t work? I’ve been using that for a while now and seems to work. I don’t know about on YouTube though since I pay for that.
Oh crap, I‘m glad you’re allright though! My MacBook Pro 2017 had pang and smoke today. Scared that it would burn my home down I went to Apple Store and they took it to investigate. Curious to know what happened. Seems it’s not the battery, they said the smell would be different, they suspect it was a component based on the smell.
Also curious since it’s out of warranty, why did they take it to investigate? It says on the paper that is going for repair but the price is 0. Hmh
Thats sad to see, when they priced the new Mac mini even cheaper than before it was a good sign, but seems they didnt do it in their other departments. So the new iPhone 16e is priced at $599, lmao, guess I'm keeping my android phone til it dies, it's still pretty decent but the display was flickering every once in a while, and the only alternative for stylus phone is the flagship Samsung one, so I thought if I'm gonna ditch the pen and go for a cheaper device, I may as well try a "budget" iOS phone, but guess I won't.
Depending on what you do, it basically makes the iPad a laptop replacement. But I'm happy with my 11 inch iPad for that - I have an actual laptop if I need a bigger screen.Yeah the iPad Magic keyboard is a GOATed upgrade, highly recommended. Although it makes me wish I had the 13 inch iPad though.
I will probs get a Macbook Air this summerDepending on what you do, it basically makes the iPad a laptop replacement. But I'm happy with my 11 inch iPad for that - I have an actual laptop if I need a bigger screen.
I'm not the biggest Apple lover, but it's hard to deny that they make the best tablets without any question.
Yeah not sure what’s going on. Probably that they are going to go directly for m5 but at later date.Still no news on macbook air M4!
Can’t deny it is very expensive. I thought about it for 6 months if I’m completely honest. But one day last week I went like, fuck it!the iPad magic keyboard is way too expensive and I think I'm better off using a normal keyboard (the logi ones support 3 devices) with my set up, and the keyboard I got is a bit smaller so it still is pretty capable of being a portable keyboard. I can see it being quite good if you use ipad as main more, but I'm also just not a laptop person since I rarely travel so this is the most cost efficient and saving more space.
Also have an old iPad but don’t really use much. Not sure what to do on it.
Sidecar as second monitorI sent my broken laptop to recycling. Feels weird being without a laptop. But I don’t have as much need for it now as before. I still have my dual setup of two Mac minis. Also have an old iPad but don’t really use much. Not sure what to do on it.
This is how I was with the M2 Macs I have.Im super happy with my Mac mini M4, just would need an Air too to be completely set.
I used to run two screens on my old M1 mini, it worked having a type c to hdmi cable. But now I run my M1 on one screen and the M4 on the other screen. Since I do different things on both thankfully I dont really need to worry about installing double. And using just one mouse and keyboard is pretty smooth to use on both. This is how I was with the M2 Macs I have.
I bought one (the Air, I think) and decided I needed the other to fill the gap (dual displays).
With the money I spent on both, I could’ve bought an M2 Pro MBP and not have two separate devices.
And in all honesty, having two Macs is a pain in the ass. You have to do everything twice, like installing apps and updates, hoping iCloud or whatever other cloud provider you have correctly syncs stuff, and so on.
I’d rather have the one system these days.
yeah i kinda get it, actually why i went with an ipad instead of a laptop, i don't actually think ipad can match a mac laptop, but it does things different and support an apple pencil, otherwise having 2 of the same thing is a bit redundant.Yeah, my current M2 mini is running my dual displays right now. It does a good job of it, but I’m unsatisfied with the fact that I have two Macs that essentially do the same thing: one portable and one stationary.
If your computers serve different purposes, that’s a different story. For me, it’s one purpose across two devices.
I’m pretty close to pulling the trigger on a MacBook Pro. I’m wondering if it’s worth seeing if Apple surprise with the Air, or if I just suck it up and get the Pro.
Yeah, that complicated matters further. I have an iPad Pro with the keyboard that works as an ultra portable.yeah i kinda get it, actually why i went with an ipad instead of a laptop, i don't actually think ipad can match a mac laptop, but it does things different and support an apple pencil, otherwise having 2 of the same thing is a bit redundant.
That sky blue Macbook Air will be mineAlright there it is!
