|OT| MetaConsole | Here we can talk about anything regarding consoles

I imagine a mouse-shaped 3rd party joycon won't be hard to devise. Or maybe some adapter that makes some standard mouse connect to joycon bluetooth. Maybe they have to be limited to the dpi of the standard joycons but other than that I guess you could get any form factor more comfortable for you.
We can only hope.

Switch 2 console (no bundle) is 620$ and Donkey Kong is between 88$-92$ in Norway.

This is dead on arrival.

I’m giving serious thought to replacing my PS5 Slim and Series X with a PS5 Pro and 360 Slim.

Most of my Series X games either have a PS5 version or are 360 games anyway. About the only game I’d be losing is Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and I believe all the games from that pack have 360 versions anyway.

I could sell the above and replace all the games with like for like PS/360 versions and have cash to spare.

“As we look at Nintendo Switch 2 and you think about the feature sets that I talked about … we believe that the pricing is appropriate for the value of the machine and the gameplay experience overall. We recognize there are some people that may not be able to afford [the Switch 2’s] price point. That’s why we wanted to make the other Switch platforms available, so [people] still have an opportunity to come into our gaming universe, be a part of these characters in these worlds, and see value, if you will, in whatever rung of the platform they come in.”

Feels like day by day there a new statement or a bit of news about the Switch 2 that makes it more unappealing.

Trump has put a 90 day pause on tariffs for certain countries (which I assume/hope Vietnam is one of them) and is reducing it to 10% afterwards. So maybe Nintendo will at least get to sell the launch batch tariff-free and, best case scenario for consumers, eat the 10% markup (assuming he doesn't do any more schizo shit and we all know that's not gonna happen lol).

Wait, so it's 0 tariffs until then and then 10% or 10% over what it was or is this a complete 180 or what the hell is going on? I thought only our politicians are such complete and utter imbeciles and jokes that somehow manage to convince their likeminded folks to vote for them and destroy everyone's life (well compared to what it could be otherwise), but the rest of the world doing the same is, maybe making me feel better about ours on some level, but overall pretty grim...

Of course I doubt any products change their MSRP for the period, just gonna enjoy the extra profit... Unless it's a place where the tax is added on top afterwards.

Great use of mouse controls for a party game on Switch 2:
