I really don't know why i keep buying every Mortal Kombat. For me it feels so fucking clunky compared to japanese fighting games (or even Killer Instinct, to name a western one).
It feels so strange that I have to have already input my string before I can even confirm if my jump-in has hit.

Speaking of which, why do even the tutorials have to "talk" to the server to update that I've completed it? They are going in way too hard on the MTX now if they have to do that. The Krypt is also crap, but that's a talk for another time.

I forogt how to utilize gameahark with an emu :x
Retroarch has cheating functionality. You can manipulate memory values, directly input codes if you know them, or even download ready made cheats that are super easy to use. I tried it once some time ago. Ain't nobody beating Batman & Robin for the Genesis playing with their kid without cheats :face-with-stuck-out-tongue-and-tightly-closed-eyes:

I finally went back to Assassin's Creed Odyssey! I love the addition of the loadout slots in the inventory. I can finally change between assassin, warrior and archer gear without a hassle. It would have been more useful a few patches ago, before archery got nerfed. But, oh well.

I don't really appreciate the level increase and the incredible amount of resources that it now takes to upgrade weapons and armors. I did use the bug/cheat to get to 99 fast, hunting down polemarchs in forts and tea-bagging them for a while. It was oddly satisying...

I just didn't want to upgrade my gear more than once (considering I already upgraded everything to 50 and 70 before). It costs like 150-200k drachmae to upgrade to level 99 and up to 12k for a single resource. I thought I had a lot before, but I can't even upgrade a complete set. I decided to upgrade the weapons and those beautiful boots that give double assassin damage.

Well, not enough underage sideboob in Ys IX for curday XSEED to care. Guess we're stuck with "PC sucks" NISA.

so are we gonna just ignore the fact that NISA's last port (Caligula Effect) was pretty solid? I had absolutely no problems with it at all.

The Ys 8 port sucked, but they've ported several games since then and outside of the Disgaea 5 online fiasco, their ports have been getting better and better.

Ys VIII was Tin Giant
That's not entirely correct. They only brought in Tin Giant way after the initial release date, after it had already long become clear the unnamed port-studio they'd hired were unable to deliver something workable and Tin Giant was hired to turn the mess into something usable. They did an extremely good job with that, considering they were only working... 2 or 3 months on it? But ultimately they were brought in too late and I guess were not given enough time and resources to really completely fix it.

IIRC Durante was brought on to help around the end of development too, But not even he could salvage it I guess. I know he worked on Caligula though.

Honestly if NISA brings Cold Steel III/IV/Ys IX to PC, Its definitely possible they'd ask Durante to help.

Nah. They asked him to take a quick look before September but he was not working on it officially and not much, since he was presumably busy with Cold Steel 2 at the time. He just identified a few of the major bottlenecks and gave some pointers iirc.

I read September release and the thought that we might get a PC release next year. Until I noticed that it's YS, a Falcom game we're talking about. Falcom the company stuck in 2000s when it comes to international releases. We might get this in 2021, or one year after Cold Steel IV releases here. Just then we can start thinking in a possible PC release date.

Holy shit.

Edit: Nevermind. It's not a VN sequel just a book sequel to the novelized version of Saya no Uta. Not Urobutcher involvement either. (n) People should follow up on the JP sources.

Edit 2: Thread locked on Era 😂

Anthem hitting or getting close to 20€ on key sites. Slightly tempted.

Many features are getting delayed to whenever. Slightly less tempted.

edit: Why is this so long and how do I make it shorter?

ooooh, unfortunate. Why would you make a novelization to what's already a visual novel anyways tho?

Uh, I love Urobutcher, but Saya no Uta grossed me out back in the day, I know that there're no middle school girls in the VN, but Saya's design along with the content was really disturbing to me.

The fact that persona 5 royale is exclusive to the same platform as the original release us the most atlus thing ever.

At least SEGA can now port the original release.
Well Atlus doesn't give a shit what consumers want especially if they are not Japanese. See how they made one single region locked game in the history of the PS3, draconian streaming policies for Persona 5, blocking screenshots, losing their shit over a emulator, being shit at distributing in Europe, among others they are just a backwards out of touch company.

I have Persona 5 on PS4 but I just can't seem to be able to actually complete a long game on console. I have no idea why but it's just how it is.
I'm in the same boat, have it on PS3, but after 60+ hours in the game, I'm simply tired of the gameplay loop, and cast isn't interesting enough to justify another 40 hours of boredom.
