It's only one of the best picross games if you haven't played any of the great ones.
But it's decent. What hurts it is lack of QoL features, touch only controls, and the bloody puzzle timers.
Some would say it has only small, 15x15 puzzles, but I tend to prefer them - better to spend 5 minutes on a puzzle than 2 hours..
Oh, and yea, skip the second batch of puzzles. There are only 26 new ones IIRC, which you randomly get, rest is just old puzzles that you have to solve without the ability to mark spaces. -_-
I have played most of them, well the better ones, tend to skip the "low effort ones."XD but yeah that's what I liked about it, the small puzzles and why I think it is one of the better ones, because I tend to get addicted and if it's too big puzzles I get "stuck" playing them for a long time and start to dislike the game because feel I need to finish it, with the smaller puzzles it always felt I could take a pause after finishing one and it never felt too much of a task to start one.

Speaking of gaming, regretfully I have failed to complete self-imposed challenge of finishing Marvel related games before the release of Endgame, I should've started with something other than Rise of the Apocalypse. Shame!Shame!Shame!

You should definitely try Picross GB 2 if you haven't already,
Exclusively 15x15 puzzles (well, 30x30 split into 4 15x15 each), like the Mid-Boss puzzles in Konami Picross). Took me 45+ hours to 100% clear, there's just a shitload of content there.
There's even a translation patch if you can't handle kana puzzle descriptions.

Ah yeah I started with the Gameboy ones back in the day.:D But why not replay them! Nintendo should release them on phones.

I'm thinking whether I should start a puzzle thread here or a specific picross one.
But then, nobody but me and maybe suiko would post there... :negative-blob:
Do it!:D Better to have a thread with few poster than no thread at all.:D While I mostly prefer picross types, there are a bunch of other puzzlers that scratch the same itch, so go for a general one.

And my PSU has died again. I'm going to have to order a new one, which is an annoying amount of money.
What brand did you buy?
I am using a Thermaltake Berlin 630W for like 6 years now, and yeah, can't complain about it. Pretty quiet too, though looking at reviews there are better and quieter ones out there (that also cost way more, of course).

Corsair CX650. Reviews say it's decent, and I know it'll fit the shroud in my current case?

Corsair is decent brand, but I'd go with something with Gold/Platinum effeciency.
I've had Seasonic 660W XP2 Platinum since Skylake now, PSUs are supposed to last the lifetime of your computer so spending bit more there is wise.

Also cookie monster and the muppets.

So yesterday "other threads and updates" :steam_pigblanket:

thanks for posting those summaries in here, man .... and trying to "encourage" people to visit other threads as well :)

:wd_heart:

Playing minesweeper with a trackpad might not be the best way, all my mistakes has been accidental doing a "left button click" instead of a right when flagging, after awhile the brain gets tired of either doing one finger push or double finger push and switches it up, so the mistake is inevitable.

Thanks, I might have to look at swapping it out.
I just ordered this one because the local stores stock it and I needed something I knew would fit the case - I need this machine for work as well as gaming.

new Skyhill ... a bit different than first one

So all they want is to decrease Steam's cut to 12%? That would make them stop with the exclusives?
He knows 88% isn't viable.
he's just playing the same PR machine that Epic has always done. He knows lots of people will rile up on this and use it as argument to portray Epic as the knight in shining armor, here to rescue poor, innocent devs. All while the evil witch GabeN is plotting how to exploit poor devs in search for eternal youth.

It's complete nonsense. Epic is trying to portray itself as some sort of altruistic corporation taking a hit for the greater good. If Steam reduces their split to 12% EGS have no competitive edge for developers/publisher other than paying for exclusives. Unless it's some sort of long game where they believe they can force Valve to run out of money because of the smaller cut while resting in Fortnite money.

Honestly Sweeney is so full of crap that I don't even care what he says anymore. He's well aware that he's putting people against each other and generating harassment towards developers even if many of them have no voice in the choices publishers make. Yet he's still there, acting like the good billionaire with a heart of gold who genuinely cares about developers, even after the news on Fortnite crunch that came out in the past few days. What Epic is doing may hurt the whole industry in the long run, both from customers' and developers' side but Sweeney, acting like the billionaire corporate CEO he is, doesn't seem to give a crap about the long run. I'm sick of wasting my time on anything he tweets while Fortnite developers are losing their minds to make Sweeney even richer.

So all they want is to decrease Steam's cut to 12%? That would make them stop with the exclusives?

Nah, he knows that it's not possibile for Valve to reach that, he's just doing his own impersonation of the average Twitter user who goes all "gotcha!" to dishonestly prove their point.

I hate Epic Store's exclusive deals, but I can fundamentally understand it as business decision - I don't like it and will never support it, but it is easy and legal way to force people to use your client. Businesses are doing worse for profit.

It's Sweeney's pro-dev trickle-down-economy valve-bad PR that infuriates me to no end, and make me feel emotional (because we already get enough of that tactic in real life).

Oh yeah, i can see how from a business perspective but i'll never support it or buy a game anywhere that gives me an EGS key or requires an Epic login.
Sure, i may miss out on a few games but... they're games. I have lots and there's more arriving every day. I suppose it helps that i've always been a predominantly PC gamer so i don't have the love of AAA Console releases that many people exhibit.

Maybe it's because i remember a couple of Sweeney's many little temper tantrums through the years that i just don't really care what the man has to say anymore. Steam, GOG & Itch have been getting a lot more of my money lately for a lot more diverse range of games than EGS' Curated faux-indie supporting omnishambles will ever have.

And my PSU has died again. I'm going to have to order a new one, which is an annoying amount of money.

Funny you mention that, I'm pretty sure I have the same problem. Under full load, my computer is now randomly rebooting without a BSOD. I reused this PSU when I did my new build a few years ago (Corsair 850HXW). Well, I looked up my purchase date on Newegg and come to find out, I bought the damn thing in 2010!

9 years is pretty good for a PSU! Mine's only lasted 2, which I'm not best pleased with.
