What are the bets on a company doing a totally tasteless COVID-related April Fool's Joke?
Cause someone's defo doing it.
Allow me to keep what little faith I have in humanity, and hope people have the decency of not doing so.

I mean, even Running With Scissors, who usually try too hard with their juvenile brand of humour, posted this:

Just saw the Satisfactory post in the end of the other thread. Is it just me or does "crossplay" between different stores/launchers/platforms sound really stupid on PC?

I mean, PC should be PC right? Whether you get a game on Steam or GOG should not matter when playing multiplayer... So why is "crossplay" explicitly needed?

Yeah its goofy as hell. Even funnier that crossplay between steam and egs is reason the game isnt coming until May.

Gosh it has felt like there has been no slow down between releases. I am tempted by so many games. Of games that just released or are releasing within a week that I am interested in, just off the top of head, there is Mount and Blade 2, Making Lovers, One Step from Eden, Resident Evil 3, Good Company, One Piece, Biped, Disaster Report 4 and... :astonished-face: This is to say nothing of the games that released throughout the year so far. Wowzah, I cannot keep up.

Beat DOOM Eternal this past weekend. Just the fact that I beat it is a testament to something about the game, but I cannot figure out if I liked it more or less than DOOM 2016. I have mixed feelings though I am glad to have played it. It was just a bit exhausting to play.

That Bannerlord news. I have not played the series but I'm guessing something must have happened for why the game is not out on EGS right now and instead it will be sometime in Spring like someone already mentioned
-------

Oh and will the new Riot FPS game over take CSGO?

In the west no chance, people are to invested in their stuff on csgo to let it go, It will probably be a giant on Asia tho´.
That makes sense, I know that in Asia there was also a Korean version of CS that Nexon was in charge of and there is CSGO with Perfect World.

Is OW also really big in Asia? Since I know that MOBAs and stuff like that are popular there.

So it just seems like a weird match with this new game.

I was writing my reply to your post in last month's thread re: FFVII but work got in the way and the thread was locked before I have the chance to post it. Hence, I'll post it here.

So, I recommend playing FFVII PC Classic (Steam) with The Reunion mod. It's basically a collection of mods designed not only to make the PC release playable in modern PC, but also to fix localisation issue, outstanding bugs present both in the PSX and the PC version and enhancements to the game's difficulty and balance.

1. Beacause — This is the most important mod because as you might know, FF VII has all the hallmark of mid-90s professional localisation. mistranslations, grammar errors, inaccurate lore, etc. The mod is a rework from the ground up, edited from the Japanese script.
2. Menu Enhancement — Menu rework to fix alignment issue and adapting it for scalability with high-resolution screen/monitors
3. Audio Replacement — This is a replacement for FF VII sound module. The original sound effects are re-recorded and encoded in .ogg format
4. Weapon — A difficulty mod. The aim is not to make a "harder" game but to fix the imbalance in the game mechanics. It's still very much a WIP.
5. Model Overhaul — This one is a revamp of the low-poly models found in the original game. They try to keep the intended look and style while improving the model quality.
6. 60 fps battle scene — The PSX version runs at 60fps everywhere while the PC version runs at 30fps. In battle, they clamp this down to 15fps. The mod intends to fix this issue.
7. Soldier quest — This is basically a collectable quest. A total of 99 1/35 soldiers are hidden throughout the world.

You can read more about The Reunion here:

OW is not big anywhere anymore.

Valorant is the way it is because of crossfire and games like that. Theres some really goofy cs clones in asia with cartoon characters and what not.

What happened to Crossfire? I know that there is a new one that Remedy is involved with but what happened to the series in general?

Crossfire is one of the biggest games on Asia (hence the world). not the MS one, the original one.
