It's too bad about the second half with the ape monsters though, a real far cry from the original game. I'll see myself out.

Those monsters were the highlight of the game to me, very challenging foes.

So challenging in fact that in the hardest difficulties you are very likely to run out of ammo in the later stages so you must provoke infighting between the apes and the mercenaries.

They had infighting? Man I haven't played that game in ages as I dont remember this at all.

I really enjoyed Far Cry but the final stretch was just Trigen bullet-sponge hell corridor and yeah i had to invoke infighting to even the odds a bunch.

So you were able to beat the game? What is your secret? I stopped playing at the catacomb section. The first half was challenging but I was able to get through it some how but this second half is just BS

Probably cheese tactics and save scumming. It's been at least 12 years since i played it so i honestly don't remember much apart from it being an absolute slog at the end which kinda soured me on the game. When i replayed the game i probably played up until it became no fun and restarted again for the early bits i did enjoy.

Only Far Cry I have yet to play is New Dawn of whatever it's called, the one with the girls on the cover. Have no idea when I will play it. Lost interest after Far Cry 5 which I found to be somewhat boring and uninteresting. I still find Far Cry 3 to be the best.

I've been watching Tomato's stream of Lobotomy Corp. and man does it make me want to pull the trigger. I just...can't.

It's not even a financial thing. It's more that I've been buying too many games and not giving any of them their due as one purchase spills over into the next. I'm usually good from anywhere from 10-20 hours and then I just flitter off to my next new buy, leaving a wake of titles I've dug maybe 20% into.

It's so weird. The financial freedom of middle age is great but it really can be a double edged sword at times.

Anyway, Lobotomy Corp. looks absolutely dope as hell. Crazy-cool ideas with just the right amount of jank, giving it that scrappy vibe that I can always get behind.

Maybe I'll nab it on sale sometime.

And when's that Mass Effect Trilogy remaster coming, it's been a while since Shinobi implied it was happening.

you do realize that if those semi-recent regional pricing changes are anything to go by then all those games (no matter how old) will be like 60€ a pop ... right?

Dang dude, this game ain't joking around. Feels more punishing than any Souls I played.

At the boss in the boat atm and he's handing me my butt on a silver plate. Died 10 times so far.
This is kinda insane. Don't remember another Souls boss that gave me so much trouble.

And this is the first real boss!

Getting a hefty dose of reality check after thinking this would be a walk in the park after +500hrs in Souls series.

Yep, I was the same when I started Nioh, but once I learned how to handle myself it pretty much was a breeze! It isn't as punishing but there are millions of different mechanics and loot is dropping left and right, so you'll probably spend a lot of time in the menu.

I should get back in and do the DLC at some point soon.

I just finished Dark Souls: Remastered.

That game still holds up regarding mostly of it level design and how fun it was to play.

1: Since Steam's latest update (beta branch) my screensaver will not come on if Steam is the active window. Also my Steam icon looks like this all the time...

I just drink water.

Homefront revolution is ok. Gameplay loop can be dull but the game generally sets 6 or so rnemies at you in each engagement and easy is pretty doable.
I think dull is being harsh
I liked finding the routes to entering steongholds and unlocking safe houses since they change it up for them in later ones. But there isnt much to so outside of going drom area to area shooting up enemies, and the motorbike is rather meh.
You can only carey up to 3 guns and i found the shotgun alta pretty good.

Yep, same here. Too many in my family are or have been alcoholics and while I usually trust my willpower it's still something I'd rather avoid. There's also another story there but I'll save it for another time.

For me I usually drink a lot of water and tea with the occasional cup of coffee. I do still have a soda here or there but that's usually to go with a pizza or burger. So maybe two or three times a month.

Oh and even after the update Planet Zoo still crashes on me when ever I have a lot of people? Well that sucks since there will likely be somethings that I will never be able to do in the game now.

I'm on a ginger trip lately. Cut some ginger and lemon then muddle it into a glass. Put in a tiny bit of syrup and top it off with water. Simple, healthy and refreshing!

As for alcoholic drinks I just bought myself a boston shaker and have been mixing all kinds of drinks lately. My favs currently are the Penicillin and Margaritas.

Nothing changed. 99% water (not carbonated), a big cup of coffee in the morning, maybe a glass of juice or a coke every couple of days if I want something sweet.

Alcohol wise I like Whiskey and Wine, but only if it's something "good" and not to get drunk. For the rest, e.g. during a BBQ it's Beer, Jägermeister or Vodka (preferably Absolut).

But in general alcohol consume is pretty low in our household tbh. A typical german beer crate (~20 bottles) can be enough for three months, or even longer. Bit different during BBQs, Parties etc... but that's not really an option this year.

lazerfox I'm quite fond of Ginger myself, but I have to be in the mood and it's usually after meals. Mash some chunks into a teabag, steep in boiling water, add honey. Ginger tea!

Lime wedge for style or screw it. A shot of Jack, some raspberry liqueur (maybe 45ml), lime juice (25ml), shake these, pour onto ice, add Sprite/Lemon-Lime soda, serve.

I think I like Red better. And so I finally settled on a character, saved it, and restarted Code Vein.

I feel like they throw a lot of mechanics in your face all at once, like this whole "focus" thing and launches and stuff. I wish there was a way to practice on a live enemy, at the base you can only practice on a target dummy what doesn't react to anything.

Ah anyway my next day off is... checks calendar... Wednesday if all things go to plan. Guess I'll play more than and report back more thoroughly.

Like I previously mentioned, I don't drink alcohol, and neither coffee.
So recently, I have been drinking Coke + Coke + Coke. An unhealthy amount of Coke.

If there's one thing that calms me, is mixing Coke with chocolates. So, since I'm stuck at home, my intake of both has been growing a bit out of control.
I've developed a decent belly in these weeks.

But yeah, I woke up today so indisposed, I think I'll drink water (and milk) in the next day or two.
