How many days do you have to take to finalize a package ? This is some top tier packaging.
No, I'm not impatient.
...
F5
This depends on the country, store and delivery services, but at least where I live, the biggest PC store here, when an order is done on a weekend and stock is available, the order is only sent on monday's evening and arrives on tuesday morning.
Could be a similar situation, I guess.

I understand the impatience though, I'm still waiting for my Ryzen 7800X3D, ordered it on April 6th and the store says they're expecting it to arrive this week, but they still don't know the exact date... I just can't help F5 the store every few hours. <_<

9 Years of Shadows goes into my "I regret buying this and will never finish it" pile. It's just a bog-standard metroidvania but more basic, but it lacks fast travel, it lacks even the most novel of combat tools like the GBA castlevanias even had, the rooms have almost no shortcuts you unlock with the many "movement" upgrades you get (which are only used in rooms you HAVE to use them in and have no other purpose). It's a metroidvania by someone who doesn't know why people like those games.

I can't fathom the reviews saying the combat is satisfying. You have basic attack, heavy attack (which you can't use in most fights), and range attack (which most enemies are immune to), and charge attack (which is probably pointless to use in 99% of situations). That's it. I actually can't think of a metroidvania that had this lackluster of a combat system - I thought it would get more interesting with the acquiring of the elemental armors, but they literally add nothing. If enemies happen to be highlighted the same color as the armor they take more damage but most of the rooms you're in require you to be in a specific armor (not like, "want to be", actually you cannot change your armor). There are also only 6-7 enemy types, just reskinned, for the whole game. With way, way too much health.

If you missed something, or want to go look for upgrades, there's no fast travel, no shortcuts, just wandering through rooms with HP sponge enemies to probably not even get an upgrade fragment but a random lore stone instead. Optional bosses are all a minute+ away from the nearest save point, and non-optional bosses have cutscenes that can't be skipped and fairly iffy combat designs with some RNG elements.

I would say almost half my play time of 6 hours was backtracking pointlessly because there's no indication of where is blocked off from the other side on the map, and no indication of whether there are actually upgrades in rooms you missed, or just going back through rooms because the optional bosses might just up and kill you sometimes.

Some people: "I don't understand how people can only use Steam and nothing else, fucking Steam fanboys"

Apple confirms the EU ruling about sideloading and will allow it in the iOS 17 release
The same people: "I will still only use Apple's curated store."

I installed Contact Frame on my 13700K today. After few tests overall temperature went down up to 5 degrees depending on the test. My Noctua NH-D15s had much easier job keeping it tamed :D

Uh, 3 fans GPU in an airflow case is noisy :sweaty-blob:
Hmm, but isn't the 4070 supposed to stop the fan on idle ? Maybe that's just my CPU cooler.

Went to 63.7° in HWInfo
I have this GPU : MSI GeForce RTX™ 4080 16GB GAMING X TRIO
I can barely hear it in my Define R6 case even at full blast in Cyberpunk.

It hits 68-70°C though with the default "gaming" fan curve.

You can always adjust PL1 and PL2 to something more sane like 190-200W. At full 253w load you should hit tjmax in Cinebench R23 on a least one-two cores.

I have a D15s with an additional fan and it's a beast of an air cooler but with a 253w PL2 CPU this must be getting awful close.

I put limit to 250W, undervolted -0.040V, stock speeds. Before contact frame i would get spikes to 97 degrees with CPU temps overall around 95 (thermal throttling), now i run at 90 degrees overall at spikes to like 93, This is on single fan (i will look to buy additional one soon). So i am satisficed overall, temps will be much lower in games but Contact Frame helped overall.

Definitely invest in a second fan for your D15s. Even if in games temps won't be that high nor will the power draw it's always a good thing to keep CPUs running as cool as possible.
The 13700k would have been my choice had I waited a year longer, that or perhaps a 7800x3d.

Running fine so far.

Well I kinda got good deal on CPU day 1 so I went with it (it was cheaper for a friend from US to buy me one at Microcenter and send it half around the world then ti buy it here XD).

Yeah, I suppose the noise was already there and it's the CPU cooler. I should invest in a 2-fan cooler :grimacing-face:
But hey, no big deal, at least on Chaos I didn't have any power supply issue, so that's the most important thing. And, yeah, 120fps at 1440p / DLSS, but it was already running well with the 2060 Super, so that's not the test to end all test.

just an advice.
If you plan to buy Disney Speedstorm and plan to play cross platform or doubledip.
If you link your account with Gameloft ID, all purchase are cross-buy too.
For example if you unlock something, level-up your characters, etc... on Steam and you play on PS5 you will find this unlocked too.
Very nice (all games should be this way).

That said game runs perfect on Steam Deck.

How is it in the grand scheme of Kart racers ?

Graphics and gameplay are quite superior to the others even Crash Nitro-Fueled, -except Mario Kart 8 Deluxe-. I found it hard and challenging on the first levels, this surprised because first levels usually are an easy ride.
Seeing the Disney characters on tracks so dark that they seem designed by Nomura is a bit strange, but as I said the graphics are very good and they are easily recognizable. Controls are great.
It has all the typical elements of kart games. Of course, it seems to be a money-nabbing machine to be able to unlock most things and that, although it is beginning to be the norm, is disgusting.

Been really vibing with Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous.

Yo they put a whole mini version of Heroes of Might and Magic III in this thing? Neat.
You mean the crusade mode? Pretty much everyone hated that mode lol. I think they've made it so you can skip over it now so it's not so bad. I appreciate these management modes the pathfinder games have but when you swing and miss like this it can really hurt the game, and the game in general is phenomenal outside of that part.

After 118 hours I finally completed Persona 5 Royal. I missed out on one achievement and it will forever bug me, but I have no desire to play this game ever again. It was good, but in my opinion, it would be greater if they cut the length by at least 1/3.

Sony struck gold with the Dualsense, best controller I've ever used. Haptics in TLOU or Returnal truly elevate the experience.
Easy to understand why so many devs are praising it.
I tried it with my dualsense on uncharted, and it's a nice novelty, but unless it's on the Steam deck no amount of vibration will make me play first and third person shooters with a controller, feels too jank lol.

I've played these with a controller and it just felt natural to me. I went back and forth between my dualsense and my xbox series controller and overall I think the former provided more.
Besides Uncharted has an issue with mouse/keyboard even to this day.

I enjoyed using a wired DualSense with TLOU, but I think it's overall just a gimmick. The big issue for a time was mouse controls being borked, but they fixed that lately, so I played Left Behind on KBM only, and it was quite nice. There was an arcade mini-game kind of thing that really didn't work on keyboards, just because of the dumb default layout, but would have been easily fixable if devs actually played their games on keyboard and mouse once before shipping.
But for the actual gameplay it was pretty good already, especially aiming being so much nicer.

The game were I liked it most, was actually SackBoy. The vibration effects could tell you which kind of surface you were on, which helped with some of the more hectic scenes, actually improving the playability a little bit.
