Blasphemous 2

Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical

In a modern fantasy world, college dropout Grace is granted the power of a Muse - power she’ll need to find out the truth behind her predecessor’s death before time runs out. You’ll decide who Grace allies with, who she can trust, and who may betray her in this beautifully hand-illustrated roleplaying musical.

Written by David Gaider comes Stray Gods - an urban fantasy tale of finding your place, taking charge of your fate, and discovering answers. Your choices will change the endings, as well as the path you take to get there.

A compelling story of hope, self-discovery, and forging your path.

Sea of Stars

Promising the Sabotage touch in every system, Sea of Stars aims to modernize the classic RPG in terms of turn-based combat, storytelling, exploration and interactions with the environment, while still offering a hearty slice of nostalgia and good old, simple fun.

Pressing the action button in sync with the animations increases damage output while reducing incoming damage. Along with timed hits, combat features multi-character combo attacks, boosting, and a strategic "locks" system offering options to play with different damage types in order to hinder enemies while they are channeling powerful attacks or spells, all in an immersive take on the genre; no random encounters, no transitions to separate battlefields, and no grinding.

Swim, climb, vault, jump off or hoist up ledges as you traverse seamlessly through the world with a navigation system based on platformer expertise that breaks free from the classic bound-to-the-grid tileset movement.

Our custom-made render pipeline allows the creation of a breathtaking world coming to life by pushing the limits of 2D pixel-art games.

Dozens of original characters and story arcs will take you on a captivating journey. Sometimes epic, sometimes silly, and other times emotional, Sea of Stars does its RPG duty of exploring classic themes of adventure and friendship, while also being chock-full of the unexpected twists and events you’d expect from a Sabotage production.

There are many ways to hang out in the world of Sea of Stars if you feel the need for a change of pace in your adventures. Sailing, cooking, fishing, stopping by a tavern to listen to a song or play the infamous tabletop game known as "Wheels".....every system has been designed to deliver an experience that pays respect to retro classics, while rethinking in some areas to offer a smooth and modernized experience.

Fort Solis

The story is told across four chapters. Like a Netflix series, Fort Solis can be binged in one intense session, or played chapter by chapter like an episodic TV show.

Responding to an unusual alarm call from a remote mining base, Jack arrives at the dark and desolate Fort Solis. With storm warnings imminent, he heads inside to make desperate contact. As the night grows longer, events escalate, spiral out of control and the mystery of what happened to the crew begins to reveal itself. The storms is approching, limiting Jack’s escape as he looks to hold out until morning arrives.

Fort Solis looks to deliver a high-fidelity experience designed to completely immerse the player in the cast and their long night. With performances from Roger Clark, Troy Baker and Julia Brown, Fort Solis looks to deliver emotion, fear, empathy and much more with every chapter.

Supporting the core narrative are additional instances of story such as audio logs, surveillance footage or past of present events. Accompanying those are video logs recorded by all crew detailing the events before and perhaps even after that night the alarm was triggered at Fort Solis…

Fort Solis brings to players, the next level of details, facial and body animations. With the help of Unreal Engine 5.2 Fort Solis realistic universe is brought to life !

The skeleton of Fort Solis is built above and below ground. The base contains a variety of locations each with their own surface and sub surface levels. Players will be able to explore the isolated storm bearing surface, the creepy service tunnels absent of any light or the multiple departments that help Fort Solis function on a day-to-day basis such as Engineering, Medical and Communications.

As the story unfolds locations can easily be revisited for additional story context or continue to serve as a backdrop to the fate that awaits Jack with each passing hour.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk

Team Reptile brings you Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, a future world from the mind of Dion Koster where self-styled graffiti crews equipped with personal boostpacks are battling each other for control of the streets. Start your own cypher and dance, paint graffiti, collect beats, combo your tricks and face off with the cops to stake your claim to the sprawling metropolis of New Amsterdam.

Red is a graffiti writer who lost his head and instead has an AI cyberhead. In search of his roots he joins the Bomb Rush Crew, Tryce and Bel, who are aiming to go All City. Together they slowly discover who it was that cut off his head and how deep Red's human side is linked to the graffiti world.

  • Explore the 5 main boroughs of the city to hit graffiti spots and get REP. You'll need it to challenge the rival crews to a Crew Battle.
  • Find new members to join your crew around the city. Spread around are also new graffiti pieces to paint, outfit colors and music to play on your flip phone.
  • Use skateboarding, inline skating or BMX style tricks in the unique environment based trick system. Extend your combos with manuals and get even higher scores by incorporating special Boost Tricks.
  • You can get boost power for doing long combos so the fastest way to move is also the most stylish.
  • Dynamic military police that scales up as you vandalize.

OU

The place is U-chronia, a hazy world that lives in hazy memories of the distant past.
OU, a young boy, wakes up in a dried up riverbed without any memories of his own.
He meets Zarry, an opossum with a flaming tail, who guides him on a journey to find out his story.

The Saudage Specter, who haunts the boy;
Gemini, who looks just like him;
The Weeping Woman "La Llorona", who leads him to tragedy.
All of them are there to change the Story and how it will end.

A pen-drawn world reminiscent of the illustrations in children's literature, accompanied by music for guitar and other instruments ripe with nostalgia for an old hometown.
This is the background where the Story, a story meant for someone, unfolds.

"OU" disguises itself as something else—an adventure game—to meet and interact with reality.
OU is also a challenge—a challenge to games as a whole.

AC6, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Sea of Stars, Atlas Fallen, Koa and the five pirates of Mara, BG3, and now I get reminded of En Garde! and Rhapsody :steam_pig_deadpan: ?

Maybe if I start playing Rhapsody 1 today, I will manage to find time for one of those other games before 2024...

Thanks for the new thread Mor.

This month and next month looking absolutely stacked. Good luck to everyone's wallets.

I'll probably be the only one who won't play BG3 on release. Hopefully there will be some cheap codes for AC VI, though.

And I'm looking forward to play Sea of Stars, after that impressive demo.

The whole UMPCs thing is something else.

Also yeah I know, preaching to the choir.

Did they get some influence from the Switch, sure I guess. But I wouldn't go as far as to say that if the Switch was not a thing that UMPCs would not exist to some capacity.

One of the big issues with UMPCs was performance. The Switch is underpowered, even when it released it was under powered and that's still the case now (I wonder why you will see SwitchPro trending from time to time.)

It's just dumb. As for UMPCs released after the Steam Deck, I do feel like that's those hardware manufaters seeing how it's possible to sell over 1 million units of these things. I'm pretty sure they are not expecting to sell over 10 million of these units especially when they can just sell new models every year. They are going to follow the cell phone model and not what Nintendo does (with having pretty much the same product on shelfs for 6+ years)

GPDwin was doing it's own thing and you did have some other small niche companies as well.

Now that's these new UMPCs have proven to be popular (do we know how many gaming laptops these companies sell annually? Is it over 1 million gaming laptops that get sold each year?

Also the Steam Machines did serve another purpose but people seem to forget about that.

Anyway next you will have HP, and Dell making their own.

Thank you for the thread Mor!

Happy August everyone!

Lots of games this month. Excited to finally dive into Baldur's Gate 3 after owning it for ages. Also planning on Armored Core day 1. Well definitely play HoloCure, excited for a Steam release and I hope they can get all the achievements added after launch. Fairly interested in The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood too. Oh and then White Album in a couple of days. :dizzy-face:

Nah. I don't care about BG3 so there are at least two of us here. August will be Sengoku Dynasty and ACVI for me, maybe Sea of Stars too, but not sure about that one.

Anyway, thanks for the thread Mor.

Really hoping Bomb Rush is good. It's going to be $39.99 at launch, so lets hope it lives up to half of the hype.

Bomb Rush looks so good. And Sea of Stars is a must-get for me after playing the demo.

I’ve also never heard of Fort Solis before, so I’m keen to see how that is.
Luckily I backed Sea of Stars before I went broke with all the home renovation expenses. That'll be my Summer game. Although I've finally asked for a Switch key instead of a Steam one to play while lounging in the pool.

Wow, August already. On one hand, it is august already! God dammit!

On the other hand, BG3 is coming out in two days! And Starfield in a month! And Cyberpunk v2 in two months!

Mivey
oh, nice recommendation. I actually new about this mod, but it feel of my radar. Random question, but would you recommend the English translation over the German one? Playing a Gothic game (or mod in this case) in anything but German feels a bit weird. But of course German translations tend to be pretty crap, in my view.
I didn't play german translation. I played it in english subtitles and polish voice acting and thought it was fantastic. So if you prefer german feel free to try it, but english is there as a fallback. Archolos is one of the best RPGs I've played in years (and better than any Piranha game since G2).

Also gotta recommend Enderal, which runs on Skyrim engine and is incidentally also better than any Bethesda game I've played (even Morrowind).

New thread ! Thanks Mor :photoblobheart:
Not sure about this month purchases. There is the depression. There is the realizarion that I buy too many games and could purchase some other things for a change. We will see.

That being said, BG3 is bought, and I will keep an eye on AC, Sea of Stars, Sisterhood, and may I remind you people about the GREAT Amid Evil finally getting its DLC mid august !

Thank you for the new thread Mor . As others have said it is BG3 month, will pre-purchase tonight to get the deluxe edition on release.
Still haven't chosen my class yet, need to see what all the companions are so that i don't have the same, worse thing is taking a long time deciding. finally playing and then the first/second companion you meet has all the same abilities.

I was gonna buy BG3 for me and my partner to play, but she’s so absorbed in BOTW that I’ll give it a skip until it’s on sale.

I have plenty to play in the meantime.

Baldurs Gate 3 is already in the library. Otherwise Im looking at Sea of Stars and Armored Core. However lots of other games also looks interesting like En Garde, Atlas Fallen etc.

Still, Baldurs Gate 3 will take a lot of my time and I guess by the time Im done with it, Starfield will be out.

Thanks for the new thread Mor, a huge hug for you as well! 🥰

Blasphemous 2 will be day one for me if reviews are good. I really love this kind of games. I'll probably buy Remnant 2 as well to support the devs, they did a great job with this sequel. BG3 is for later when I have more free time to play games.

I'm also looking forward to Mortal Kombat, but I'm afraid for the PC port (QLOC...)

Thanks for the thread Mor!

Here I was, thinking I was all set for the month, with BG3 and ACVI preordered... wishful thinking, apparently.

En Garde! Bomb Rush Cyberfunk! White Album, in English! Atlas Fallen! Holocure, with Steam Achievements! Blasphemous 2! Rhapsody 2 and 3! It's a firehose of compelling games. Like, I knew about all of these before today, but I'm finding out just now that theyre all releasing in the same month. :face-with-stuck-out-tongue:

Focus Home Interactive have really been on a roll recently, haven't they? Remnant 2 just barged its way into my 2023 top ten without warning, Plague Tale 2 was also excellent, and Atlas Fallen looks like another banger. Whew!

Yeah ive noticed a few issues, also the UI is a bit clunky. Could use a better controller set up.

Wishlisted Aliens it after I saw Vinny play it on NXL stream some time ago. I heard it was a bit busted in spots but looks like it has gotten one huge patch and some smaller ones, so it's probably in better place now.
Though I generally prefer turn based stuff like xcom, it still looks like I would definitely enjoy it.

I'll play BG3 just a bit at launch, but then I have to wait for 2 weeks to continue (due to co-op scheduling).

I'm looking forward to trying Holocure on the Steam Deck. I haven't played it so far, because by the time I got around to it there were already rumours of the Steam release.
