Can someone remind me how the Humble billing works? I always found this confusing

I've signed up for this month's bundle with the $9 offer and it says my next billing date is now 27th December. But what happens on 6th December then? Do I not get access to the following bundle? Surely I do but why am I being charged on the 27th then?
You get the option of paying early, or you pause/cancel or just wait until it auto charges.

On dec 6th you will get more games
New bundle goes up on dec 6th
If you have yourr card details stored on humble
You will be autocharged on 27 dec. for new bundle if u didnt buy it in advance

Picked up RE2 remake last week during the gmg sale for 15$ and it came with the intel +5 pack too. (FYI deal is still active for those interested)

Anyways finished first the Leon story and then Claire on the 2nd run. Each took me about 7hrs to do and man I loved almost everything about both campaigns. I can't even choose which one was better because both had a lot of highs and a lot of tension in the police station. The storytelling was phenomenal and pacing was great. The only true difficult part of the game in each campaign was the Tyrant ===> Jack portion. Especially in the 2nd Claire run because I had no heals so I had to carefully plan out all routes in silence. There was so much crazy variety in all the shit that went down lol. The AI was really good and the game forced me to reload several times. Overall everything just worked so well in this. From the first encounter with Leon to the 1st and then 2nd with Claire. The game was designed in such a suberb way. Hats off to Capcom.

I do have a few gripes with the game however. The first is with Leon. And its more of a franchise gripe at this point. He feels like a different character in every single game he is in. Either a gullible idiot, smug asshole or charming hero. Its just all over the place and I don't think Capcom even gives a shit anymore. I can't even keep track of how stupid the overall story is through all the games but at least Claire and Chris seem like the same person.

The 2nd gripe is just how overpowered the zombies are. They take too many headshots without dying. So I feel its just much easier to shoot them once in the head and run past them while they are stunned for that brief half second. But not killing zombies in some of the areas will/can cost you later. There is a lot of backtracking and revisiting areas + a lot of zombies just kept on respawning. Or at least is what it felt like. Couple that with the lack of certain supplies (green herb) on the 2nd run it was almost unfair with the Tyrant and clocktower shit. The inventory management was a nightmare at times. But I got through it and it was legit fun/tense.

I didn't think this would be better than 7 or Revelations 2 for me but it kind of blew them both away. Felt like they took all the good things they learned about those games and made a true homage to classic RE2 PS1 fans with a fantastic modern day game engine. And I say that despite not feeling like they truly captured the OG game. This was easier than the PS1 game. I remember as a kid really having a hard time with that one. Maybe its nostalgia so its really hard to tell. But anyways this is easily the best game Capcom has made in a long long looooong time. I strongly recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it yet.

Speaking of Sekiro, it's being referenced in the banner. I mistook it for Katana Zero previously.

So, what are the other references? The pair with the sword and shield, the person holding a green orb and the tree creature thing?
Tree creature is Remnant: From the Ashes, me thinks.

The pair with the sword and shield is from Children of Morta, the tree creature is from Remnant: From of Ashes and I presume the person holding a green orb is from Destiny 2? The tentacle is from Return of the Obra Din.

Also Baba from Baba Is You!

I need some help choosing a new PSU.

I was just going to keep using my current one but after thinking about it some more, I don't think it's worth the risk of frying my system because of the new PSU SATA cables that I purchased, especially after reading a few comments on reddit about peoples Hard Drives dying.

Since there are still some deals going on I should be able to find a decent one.

I have a Ryzen 2600, GTX 1070ti, 840 evo SSD, 2 hard drives, a M.2 drive. and I plan to hook up 6 drives for right now but I most likely may end up with as much as 8 hard drives.

Is there something that I should be looking for? My previous PSU was a CX500M and from reading some peoples comments those PSUs sucked? or something like that?

I think I will just return the SATA PSU cable that I ordered. what can I get for around $70USD that is semi modular and that will last me a few years.

As for size I don't think it matters since I'm pretty sure I have a full sized tower

Excluding exclusives

Games releasing after a year of EGS exclusivity will do as if nothing happened, some will flop, the AAA will get a fuckton of sales, and most of the people won't boicot shit cause' they just want games where they want and in case you wonder, yes, it doesn't matter if you boicot or not, they will take deals cause' it's direct money to their pockets for free and that's capitalism, bby.

My recommendation, just fucking buy wherever you want and enjoy it when its on your platform of choice because most won't care at all.
For me, it's not about "my platform of choice"; I've bought many games on other launchers than GoG and Steam. It's about the fact that I don't want (to support) exclusivity deals on pc. I want this practice to go away asap. While I obviously won't completely boycott a small indie developer for taking Epic's money, I don't want to support their decision either.

That's why I've decided to ignore every games involved in Epic's moneyhats completely. While I'll be missing a few excellent games because of this, it doesn't really affect me since there are much more great games out there than I have time to play them. Spending my money on devs who haven't won (or accepted) Epic's bribe lottery feels like the right thing to do for me.

The one big EGS game I'm definitely getting when it comes to Steam is Control. Everything else is in a more who knows state.
Also I forgot that Tetris Effect came out on EGS.

PCVR not coming until 2020, so yeah, still gonna have to wait a little bit unfortunately.

Don't worry, pretty much everyone forgot since release back in July, we are 230 away from exclusivity ending so again, have to wait a bit.

MOST REQUESTED CHANGES/FIXES
We are committing to deliver information and content updates by early next year on the following most requested changes/fixes:

Bug Fixing and Technical Improvements

We know that certain players are still unable to enjoy the polished version of the game that we had hoped to release at launch. Bug fixing is, and will continue to be, the top priority for our team, each TU will contain more technical improvements.

Remove Gear Score & Tiered Loot

  • (IN-PROGRESS) Referenced in the Moving Forward letter, we are working on a more immersive and radical version of Ghost Recon Breakpoint for early next year.
Enemy AI improvements

  • (IN-PROGRESS) We have already begun making improvements to help the enemy AI react more intelligently against the player. In TU 1.0.3 we have made adjustments to the stealth detection/behaviors and fixed the issue that caused enemies not to throw grenades.
Our team will be working on implementing on-going adjustments to improve this in future TUs.
Sell All Weapons and Gear

  • (IN-PROGRESS) Our team is working on an implementation for early next year.
AI Teammates

  • (IN-PROGRESS) Also as referenced in the Moving Forward letter, we are still hard at work on the AI teammates.
Due to its scope, the remaining top result will require more investigation. Please look forward for more information on this topic by early next year.

It's more than $70 (on sale for cyber monday for $85), but I think this is what I would recommend:

Speaking of Control, did they clarify Steam Workshop?

By the image, I couldn’t tell whether this is for The Division 2, Ghost Recon Breakpoint or Rainbow 6. FC5 was last year (?) so not that for sure, but it fits the lineup as well. They could really do with more visually distinctive games.

Far cry new dawn, how dare you forget.

So I've tried the VR set this week-end! I called over my brother and sister to try as well :grimacing-face:

It's difficult to describe, and I did not fully believe it at first, but it's indeed a completely new way to experience a game. My brother couldn't see anything special at first, looking me play through the monitor, then I let him play and he completely changed his mind. And it was such a simple thing, just flying the little robot inside The Lab.

Anyway, I did get a bit nauseous the first time I tried it. Maybe it wasn't such a great idea to start with the mini-game on the mountain, but it went much better later on, after getting used to the "teleportation".
I still need to learn to properly move my head around to where I want to focus on, instead of just moving my eyes. That will take some time I guess :nerd-face:

I tried almost every minigame in The Lab, my favourites being the Archery one and the Aperture Robot Repair. The Archery mini-game is simple and yet so much fun (both my sister and my brother loved it as well). The Robot Repair is just an amazing experience.

My hype for HL Alyx increased a lot during this week-end and now I can't wait to try some proper games :dmcblob:

Nothing yet, so might be something they are saving for the Steam release or might be a graphical mistake they made by adding that logo.

Sorry for the delay, yes, use that list as much as you want, I update it weekly and plan to add a few more things now that the first wave is ending exclusivity.

Yeah, I made it the day the first wave was announced, in fact for the first anniversary of the spreadsheet I'm going to upload what 365 days of changes did to the list.

Also thank you for visiting it, hope it has been helpful, will try to keep improving it as much as I can and keep it updated for as long as I'm able to give it time. :cat-heart-blob:

That's standard for pretty much everyone.

"Lol sure"

Unless it is PSVR. Maybe the one I tried was broken. It was soo bad lol
My first headset was PSVR and I loved it, but I dislike the Moves and the tracking, I saw the huge potential with good controllers and tracking with PCVR, so I bought a Rift.

I only use PSVR for exclusives, everything else is on PCVR.

Man time flies. December already. New thread already off to a good start.

Halo on PC is exciting even if I won't be joining in for a while. I'm hoping to find time to play Disco Elysium this month but we'll see.

I've also been driving back into Battletech with their season pass now finished the career mode is really fun and much improved from launch. Lots more mission types and new mechs with interesting quirks all around. Been a fun way to reexperience that world.

Funny enough, the space ship mini game is what dropped my brothers jaw too.

As a former PSVR and a new Oculus peasant user:
I can only agree with Fantomena, the difference is huge between those two. Rift S is my first headset delivering a good, no compromises VR experience. Impossible to describe though. Half Life Alyx is now my most anticipated game of next year, sorry Cyberpunk and Bloodlines 2.
All three are preordered though. A new Half Life game, a new Vampre Bloodlines game and a Cyberpunk game from CDprject... Next gaming year will be glorious.

So, today I received my Rift S and I tried it out for a couple of hours. I feel a little weird but I actually don't feel like I'm about to vomit my guts out as I feared I would so it went a lot better than I expected. I must say that I'm impressed. It's such a different experience and I had no idea it could be so immersive before wearing my headset for the first time. I tried those Lab minigames (the arcade one was a lot of fun) and a couple of non-gaming Oculus experiences like Google Maps in VR, I was blown away by both (but I now want to visit all those places in real life).

The only thing I didn't enjoy is how hard it is to read a text.

The dev behind Alien Isolation VR mod Mother, which is pretty good, is developing a VR mod for Halo.

Reading text is something that Valve/Oculus/HTC is really focused on fixing. It depends on resolution, which type of screen the lenses uses (like LCD) and IPD from what I know.

Apparently, the Index is great for reading text and so is the Rift S as long as you have the IPD for it.

Is it much better than Gear VR and PSVR? The former was nice, but it looks kinda bad and blurry. The latter was considerably better, especially with the ability to dodge and aim by moving the controllers. I also tried an escape room VR game once, where you moved your hands to interact with the environment without any controller; it was cool but I felt dizzy after a while.

I'm really curious at how different a good VR game and headset can be. All this talk about VR is getting me really excited, haha.
