Has anyone played MAXIMUM Action:

Is it worth it, especially in terms of potential (since it's an Early Access game)?
I bought it and it's a little barebones at the moment. The mechanics are great and there's some really cool levels but there's only 8 of them at the moment. Lots of different weapons to experiment with though.

Your enjoyment also depends how many times you want to replay a level or play through Endless Mode.

It does have a healthy Workshop community, so that's also something to consider.

What have the developers of Freeman done?!

I already see in that announcement anime girls.

The developers also posted a mod done by themselves (covering the second Chinese-Japanese war):

You sure it's just not people wanting to complete their badge? Edit: just saw that you said emoticons. There are a lot of people on Steam. Also why wouldn't they just buy a sac of gems for 30 cents?
I guess they are in it for the long haul. Gems should not be this cheap, and at some point, 0.40€ per sack of gems will look like a steal.

Also, that means that you cannot have any hope to purchase these emoticons for less than 0.05€, because you would be last in a queue of 200k buy orders.

Don't think gems have really recovered from the fall way back, I stacked up on gems but the price never went up.XD So just crafted anime booster packs instead and made a profit. :D

Well, since the public demanded it, I caved in and bought LiS 2, it better be worth it.

I still have a decent amount of cards left, and the biggest question is, what should be the final prize, Sekiro or Kiwami 2? I'm not really a Souls fan, but I've enjoyed what I've played of Sekiro. Yakuza, after the untimely demise of Persona, is probably my favourite Japanese franchise tho, and the only reason why it's not a clear winner is that I still have a PS2 version of original laying somewhere in my basement.

Kvik Speaking of mystery point and click games, if you don't have it, Lamplight City may be something you'd like as well:

It's a game where failure is an option, instead of the usual "game over", you can actually fail your cases/investigations, and the game proceeds with its narrative, adapting to your results.

I'm on the same boat, but in my case it's between Disco Elysium, and Terminator: Resistance. :giggle:
Don't get me wrong, Disco Elysium would normally be an easy choice for me, but since I've been struggling to find time (and patience) to tackle "deep" and lengthy RPGs, I'm considering going for a lighter game like Terminator: Resistance.

Anyway, back to your question.
Personally, I would go for Kiwami 2. It has more gameplay variety, some kick-ass arcade games included, and at least on my location it's cheaper, so you'll probably be left with funds to purchase something else.

Or, if you have funds to buy stuff outside of Steam, consider getting Sekiro from Steam, and buy Yakuza Kiwami 2 elsewhere, since there are stores where the game is currently significantly cheaper, like:

If you buy from 2game, don't forget to use one of the several 10% off discounts codes like WINTER2GAME, or ISTHEREANYDEAL.

Does anyone else have the issue of Firefox getting really, really slow -- to the point of locking up -- when (quickly) scrolling through your Steam wishlist with Augmented Steam enabled? My wishlist has 500 entries, so I'm guessing that's part of the problem, but it works much better in Chrome.

I think I have this even although I haven't boot it up yet. I liked Shardlight when I played it all those years ago. I'll see if I can give it a go during the holidays. Thanks! :02love:

No matter the browser, my Steam wishlist keeps locking up as well.

The fact that I have 7000+ items in there probably has something to do with it. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Came across this, but it doesn't seem like it's being updated anymore.

Too bad. It apparently broke up your wishlist into pages to make it load quicker. Would’ve been useful!

Sequel question, how important is it to have played the first game when it comes to Ni No Kuni II or The Evil Within 2?
In Ni No Kuni II not very important.

You must play Evil Within 1 to get a better grasp of the events of 2, both are excellent games so if you like survival horror you will enjoy them greatly ;)

Echoes Ah alright, good on Ni No Kuni because the second one is much cheaper.:D

Yeah might give Evil Within a go, as I understand it, the second one is much more of an open world? That's primarily why I'm curious about it.

EW2 has a series of hubs where you can roam around to get upgrade points, collectibles, you know the drill :D It's more open than 1 but I wouldn't consider it an open world game.

The voucher is better at least on my end t I guess? It was 10 BRL off before, now its 20.
For me it's also a higher discount this time around, it went from AR$50 from the Lunar Sale and Summer Sale to AR$300, however, some places it was lowered instead, IIRC it went from 5‎€ to 4.5‎€, for example

Yeah, on my location, on previous sales the voucher was €5 off, and on this sale it's €4,50.

In those troubled times of Star Wars 9, I would recommended to watch The Mandalorian.

It's finally getting itself together, episode 7 was great, and it makes a far, far better use of the Star Wars lore than the movies. Way more consistant than Republic and Imperial fighters out of the hat after Star Wars 8... plus the bad guys in Mando are just so much more threatening than that certain someone. Acting, it's a thing! Helps a lot more than space magic and entire fleets won at the lottery apparently.

I still think that it would have worked better as a videogame though.

Just finished Vampire the Masquerade Coteries of New York, and was very pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

It's pretty much a simple choose-your-own-adventure VN, but I found the writing and world building, plus the variety of options on side quests (which themselves are quite varied) well done.
Caveat I would put on this though is your choices seem to affect the main questline very little from what I've seen, plus it has a stinker of a sudden cliffhanger 😕

Is Steam having issues for anyone else?

Edit: It seems fixed now!

Decided to play resident evil 7 finally.

So many issues with trying to get it played, when it first loaded up the picture was distorted but I got it to display with alt-enter. It then enabled HDR even though my monitor doesn't support HDR (my TV does but it was disabled at the time). I disabled it and the picture was ok. Every time then I switched to exclusive full screen mode the picture went messed up again, tried manual ini editing but could not get it in exclusive full screen and in borderless window gsync wasn't working correctly!

Anyway, the solution was to pull the hdmi cable for the TV out or unplug the TV's power then exclusive full screen worked. Even if the TV is disabled in windows I guess the game is detecting it and its HDR capabilities so corrupting my monitor's picture.

Finally, I go to configure my controls (I'm left handed so use okl; instead of wasd). The game doesn't allow binding of :,.@- which are keys I often use! Like outer worlds doesn't allow keys I want either, the reason I still haven't played it.

I really hope the game is good after all this. Sorry for the rant but people here might understand the frustration.
