The announcement trailers for both Alan Wake Remastered and Alan Wake 2 say that Epic is publishing both.

The small notes at the end of each trailer:

Because they are both under the Epic publishing branch, but there was an entry for Alan Wake remastered that had Epic as published and specifically said (Steam), if you find an archived version of the Nvidia leak you will find this one.

Ah yes hit with the olde "platinum angel" effect. If you were playing standard it's was Book of Exalted Deeds onto a land or whatever.

I definitely recommend staying away from historic format until you've been playing a long while and have a lot of cards. Stick to the current standard and things should sort themselves out eventually. It really does require you to play a decent amount to stay free to play. You build your collection slowly.
I gave up on Magic quite a few years back. I was a fairly casual player and some times it could be fun. But there where one or two people in the group whose idea of fun was winning and hammering the opponent into the ground. The annoying thing was they couldn't deck build to save there lives, so they where always internet decks, always they best in whatever the meta was at that point. I gave up shortly after that.

Instead I moved over to miniature gaming. I at least enjoy the painting side of the hobby there.

Thanks to both of you, and I'll keep my fingers crossed. I just played Alan Wake for the first time in 2020 (I tried back in 2012 but bounced off for some reason), so I can wait for a replay.

I'm excited for SWAT.

343 has been great. That is 2 solid much needed updates in the multis first month. They are actually listening to feedback. And this is for an F2P game while others charging 60$ for multiplayer games and never listen fans.

I know they are gonna be working on Halo updates for the next 5 years or wtvr but Phil should really let them work on a new ip on the side. The team is talented and I've enjoyed Infinite so much more than Destiny 2. In both gameplay + story.

343 >>>> Bungie imo :sneaky:

This described something similar to what happened in my friend group decades ago. I actually got everyone started on Magic in middle school. We cobbled decks together from whatever we could find until two richer kids just starting buying singles and building meta decks. Some of us could not afford it, so we stopped. Getting stomped was not fun.

League is probably on a high right now with the series Arcane being so successful, but I know nothing about it.

It's being a while, but Dota 2 was incredible fun for me, and from what I watched in the last International, it still is.

BUT... Are you sure you want to o this? Between enraging and fun matches, so much heroes choices, battle passes and very good events to watch.... these games can really take over your gaming life.

Basically, If you like playing other games from time to time, don't get in too deep with mobas :p
Yes, DotA 2 (and Diablo II Resurrected) have killed my backloggery beatdown momentum in 2021. I should have never picked up DotA 2 again.

So there's a chance Space Marine 2 isn't egsclusive either. Though you never know with Focus as a publisher, could go either way.
Could you imagine with all the love the firsts is getting on Steam right now, it seem to be selling like hotcakes not just reinstalls.
I wonder at what point that new Zen game suddenly becomes an Epic exclusive. Feels like a bait and switch.
Didn't they lowkey said that it was a dissaster for them?
They lost all their steam supporters.
Good Lord, the rabbit hole of Magic The Gathering is real. I can't play that shit as I'm poor, for one. And I have a tendency to semi-rage and think my opponent is being meaner than necessary, which is absolutely stupid, I know. And more grounded in facts, I fucking can't stand the wait between turns. I already crossed path with incredibly slow players.
But when it works ? It fucking works. The diversity of approaches and combo is simply astounding.

I just played a deck with a card that could double its fucking stats every turns. Ended up at 42/42, ridiculous. And the game is so deep that I lost ! My opponent had a card that basically said he couldn't lose as long as it was on the battlefield.
That's fucking incredible.

But yeah, the rabbit hole. If we leave aside the fact that I can totally lose interest at a moment's notice, the dollarydoos must flow. There is a 5$ welcome offer, hmm why not. Then you see that the premium battlepass is full of things and cost 20$. Then you imagine that's just the beginning :neutral-face:

Couldn't you wait until the new Yu-Gi-Oh F2P game comes before falling in that spending Magic rabbit hole?
3 months tops and you (maybe) only need to spend on cosmetics not cards.

Considering that Epic had a prominent appearance at TGA yet all the announced games by Saber have a steam page (except Space Marine 2, but that game is published by Focus), I think it is safe to say that their games will be on steam at launch.

Well if we go money-friendly there is already the elephant in the room, Runeterra. Most Asian TCG are a total blindspot. In the Yugioh case, I never watched a single episode and I find both the anime and cards fugly. And the art is a big element for my enjoyment.
That being said I’m also curious and it won’t be said that I’m close-minded, so I have nothing against trying it and maybe falling in love with it.

So the scam artist has finally found his true calling (coming from somebody who loved everything he did up to Fable 2 in spite of his lies).

I don't "get" the industry anymore.

Just wanna play games on my PC without the bullpoop. Don't wanna be hooked up to some corpo metaverse fueling invisible money and environmentally destructive computation farms. 😓
Aye, I have been playing games for almost 40 years know (cut my teeth on a Space Invaders Coctail Table & first games machine I owned was a Commodore Vic 20). I didn't come across anybody trying to fleece me for extra cash throughough my game experiences (I have no doubt people where trying even back then, but it wasn't as common as it appears to be now). Then 2006 rolled around with it's horse armour. I think that was when the flood gates opened. From then we have had all kinds of bullshit.

EA's Project $10's, MS "We have a product for that, The 360". Ubisofts timesaving microtransactions. The vast majority of Gacha Gaming (and I can suckered into these as well). Capcoms on disk DLC. Capcoms True Ending DLC. EA and FUT.

Yet something has gotten more insidious about them in recent years with the rise of the block chan/mining infested games. People are trying to make MMO's that mine while you play. People have tried to release games that actually hide the fact that they are mining and pushing the money earnt to others. And now we have the big publishers starting to get in the act.

How long till EA's next step in FUT is start the mining module of the game and get cards for free? Or buy this NFT card, only 100 in existence (that one I could see them having plans for already).

Aaaahhhhh, now I am just depressed. I am going to get the bits for a bacon and sausage buttie and have breakfast.

Late GOTY contender find: Webbed. Picked this up on a whim based on the good word of mouth, and it’s wonderful. Big dumb smile on my face throughout. and it's the most original 2D (concept) platformer I've played since Fez or something. The traversal mechanics are such a joy. It truly feels like 2D Spider-Man (minus the man bit) the way you manage your momentum and breeze through the environment. Really well executed and intuitively feels right the way it's been tuned.

I hate (!) spiders, but this game is incredibly cute and doesn't trigger any negative responses for me. It also has an arachophobia toggle along with a bunch of other great accessibility settings. So far, it's even been exceeding my already high expectations based on its super positive reviews, and I'm a very picky player.

Reviews say it's short, but it's got plenty to do in addition to the main "quest" it seems. Fun little side collectibles to fill out a scrapbook and secrets to give you an excuse to mess around more with the environment and try out fun little things like hovering around on a little leaf, Wind Waker style. I've seen a run as short as two hours, but I've put in that much just doing one out of three or four main areas. Seems like it depends on how much of the side things you want to go after. I think this'll end up being just the right length for me, 6-8 hrs.

You can also shoot spider lasers and dance because reasons :lampblob:

Yeah! 🕸 I agree. Its in my top 5. Lovely little game. Great swinging mechanics. Im always a bit surprised that there aren't more swinging about type games. It such a basic yet fun experience.

Hope Sony port over Spiderman
I’m both surprised and not really surprised it has gone under radar among game media outlets. It seems like one of those games that would’ve done well under a popular label like Devolver. Still, based on the reviews it did reasonably well in spite of that.

why would anyone listen to a dataminer as a reputable source when what’s being said is ”it’s like this and it also could be not”

So what happen with that cube (?) game where you were supposed to reach the center or something and the first person to reach it would be given some kind of reward ?
The "prize" was the ability to be part of Godus and earn revenue from it, a prize that he never actually recieved.

According to the video that Henderson saw and 22cans posted on YouTube the day that the experiment ended, the contents inside of the cube included the ability to be the sole, all-powerful, digital god within 22cans' upcoming release of Godus and to reap a small portion of all of the incoming revenue that is brought in by the game. However, as of January 2016, Henderson has received little to no contact with 22cans, and in light of recent departures from the studio along with lasting issues with multiplayer, Henderson likely won't be able to collect any portion of the game at all, and once he does, it will only be for six months, or even less if another player overthrows him, who then will take a portion of profits. Speaking to The Guardian, Molyneux explained that the person in charge of keeping in contact with Henderson left the company and no one was ever reassigned the position, an act which Molyneux called "inexcusable".

I feel like that sometimes, but i try to remind myself that we also have more games than ever that are single purchase and made to just be a game. It's just not where the big marketing budgets are for the most part.

There was this incredibly stormy weather in parts of the US, this last week. Lots of tornados and what not. I think Missouri wasn't that hard hit, but maybe they shut down some things to wait until the weather improves. There was this big news that an Amazon logistics centre had its roof collapse in Kentucky.

Yeah this. Many big publishers are screwing around but we need to remind ourselves that gaming is getting better in general. There are tons of releases every month and many of them are projects that made by people who love the medium and want to share what they put time into for years.
I'm excited for SWAT.
I haven't played any Halo before Infinite, and long TTK is the main reason why I love it so I probably won't play SWAT too much. On the other hand, FFA sounds pretty darn fun to me. One vs the world.

Them having something of a track record doesn't really mean much in this situation though.

Going "it's not coming but it might" is the same as telling me "I dunno lmao"

Reporting what you find inside game files isn’t the same as having insider knowledge.

I can take apart my roomba just fine and that doesn’t mean I have any idea about irobot future projects/plans

especually when it all amounts to “it’s like this, but also maybe not”

Don't get me wrong, both tweets making different points one after the other is pointless and doesn't help giving credibility.

I think you guys need to relax... And say "fuck off" to Sega together:face-savouring-delicious-food:

Edit: to clarify, I would say it is not worth it to get worked up on any Persona-related rumors from now on. People in the know can't even confirm it because plan changes. And we all know how logic works when it comes to Sega releases: there isn't any outside the mainline games of Yakuza.
