I get the impression Sega is getting out of that deal to stop dealing with that agency, honestly. Johnny's giving them shit for wanting a PC port is probably not the only reason, but I could see how it could be a good reason among many others.

By all means correct me if I'm wrong here but it doesn't sound like he's known quite on the level for that comparison to really work.
Dude is absolutely huge in Japan/Asia in general. Legendary status. TV ratings king, a couple of successful movies, and an almost 30 year old boy band.

Sure but isn't that kinda small, or at least limited, compared to a huge movie star like DiCaprio who's famous worldwide rather than in a particular region?

Also, I'm halfway through a video that touches on this particular talent agency and holy shit. They're scummy as hell but it also sounds like the way show business works over there is kinda fucked up to begin with. Not sure how it would be for someone huge like this Takuya guy but for smaller names just starting out they basically sign away everything. The agency pays them a (ridiculously small) salary and all their earnings go directly to the agency. They basically own them and have all the power. It's super fucked up.

If there really is a conflict with these guys, I don't think there's any chance of it being resolved lol.

That Gattuso fight was pretty tough in Vesperia. Needed a bunch of tries to finally take him down. Quite the bs difficulty spike compared to all the fights before.

Also gotta say I love the select button chatter in the game. It really adds a lot to what would otherwise be a quiet lonely party jrpg. The little things matter with character development and story bits. More games should do optional stuff like that.

This is one of those week I guess :anguished-face:

Video games ?
Well, I’m in the resentment phase with FF14. Like I still love it but playing it exclusively is an issue. But then again I have to tread lightly as the more games I add to the plate the more probable a burnout.

Toying with starting GTAV or Yakuza 0. They are certainly different enough from FF. But as much as I loved Yakuza 1 back in the day, I dread the famed length of 0. And likewise, I really love the GTA formula and the emergent shit that can happen in the background, but I have as much desire to play a psycho POS as pulling my pubic hairs.

I might be reaching, but SECRET makes me think a Persona 6 announcement is eventually happening.

They even have protags of P1 and P2 on that image

Port all of them. ALL OF THEM!!!:longswordblob:
I think Persona 6 will probably be a timed Playstation exclusive and Atlus JP probably won't bother announcing PC ports. Whatever spinoffs get announced might get multiplatform releases though.

I mean, obviously it's eventually happening but yeah, this looks to me like they're clearly hinting at Persona 6 here.

These are all the mainline games. Guesses for the two secret ones? Persona 6 is the obvious one, but for the other I'm going with Persona 3 Remake, personally.

Unless they've gone insane and are announcing P6 and its Golden/Royal counterpart at the same time, I guess...

Persona 3 Remake is a good guess, especially since today is its 15th anniversary.

Same, they will probably continue their exclusivity policy in the next game.

I would say the first and last announcement will be the most important. Here's my dream scenario:

1. Persona 5 Royal Switch/PC/Xbox port
2. Spinoff Title (eg. Persona 5 Arena?)
3. Persona 1 Remastered (based on portable version), Multiplat
4. Persona 2 Crime/Punlishment Remastered (based on portable version), Multiplat
5. Persona 3 Remake, Multiplat
6. Something anime-related
7. Persona 6

I'm fine with timed exclusivity if it means they end up porting the updated rerelease. Let Sony pay for its users to beta test the game lol.

Although it would be even better if the initial release was multiplat and the update was released as DLC. Much like Blizzard/WoW currently hemorrhaging players directly into FFXIV, anything that hurts Sony can only bring a smile to my face these days. The more exclusives they lose the better.

I have doubts about P1-2 remasters but I do hope this just means that they plan to do a little bit more with them. They had the chance to tie in some P1-2 stuff in PQ2 from my understanding since that game technically takes place in the world of P2.

I think I'm going to buy some of the merchandise. By the way for some one that knows can you explain the pre-orders for that site? It says that from now until July 31 if you place an order of over $100 I think you get a tote bag for free. It says that orders stop in October? But it says that stuff is shipping in September though,

Would take Judgement with DiCaprio.

-

Anyways, anyone who agrees to be in a videogame loses exclusive access to model assets. You really cannot control that when we have this thing Internet.

Would be funny to see Internet backlash towards to this Johnny. Thousands of meme videos and images marching to them and maybe that would widen their perpective.

I can see one reason why Sega may be doubling down on PC and actually be legitimately willing to sacrifice Judgement. PC gives them access to a large Chinese market. I mean, unless something has changed drastically over the last few years, console sales are abysmal. The preference, like most of the world nowadays, appears to be mobile. But at least in China it is then followed by PC.

As to Atlus, what I am hoping for. Everything is coming to PC. New, old, the whole shebang. Plus other conolses as well, I suppose.

What I am expecting (because, you know, Atlus) P6 Sony Exclusive (or Sony with an EGS exclusive because Atlus), and then the long rumoured P3 maybe as a remasted amalgamated P3FES/PSP version. Finally then P5 for other platforms.

What we will probably get. P6 for Sony.

Sorry for the pessimistic outlook, checked up on a couple of threads involving EGS elsewhere and it has soured me this morning. And it is only 7.30 am, :crying-face::angry-face::crying-face:

Why are you expecting EGS game from Atlus when all the 3 games they have launched on PC have been on Steam? ffs

We have already explained this, SEGA only gave Epic 2 small projects which they didn't have any trust on, Troy was part of a sub-saga that didn't do well in the past and was full of criticism so they accepted epic money and focus on more important projects (see how Warhammer 3 is coming to Steam) and they gave them Sonic Colors (lol) most likely because the project is so small that no one will care about it but Monkey Ball remaster is coming to Steam.

And Atlus knows their shit has potential on Steam so I don't know why all the sudden you expect something like that to happen, multi-store? sure, Atlus would do, exclusive? don't think so.

Will P6 be sony exclusive? I think it will, timed for sure a la SMT5 (even tho we don't know if this one will come to PC) but the other part of the combo doesn't make sense based on facts we saw.

That was covered in my spoiler tag. Bad morning, so venting slightly.

I am expecting P6 Sony Exclusive and anything after that will just be a bonus.

I will just re-iterate that it was early morning, bad morning and venting/bit of stupidity. I will apologise as my intention was never for it to be serious.

Maybe I shouldn't post until after breakfast :crying-face:

I mean, KimuTaku is one of Japan's most famous actors. Imagine having a series with Leonardo DiCaprio only to drop him at the next game for a look a like.
But the issue here is that Leonardo di Caprio is acting in a Bollywood series for an American audience that doesn't really care for the series while the Studio can't release the Series in India because of some arbitrary reason.

Translation: The Japanese console audience is too low (and is shrinking every year) to support that kind of fuckery. Maybe that dude is a big deal in Japan, but the Japanese Unit sales don't reflect that and the outlook is dire. Why should Sega cater to the Japanese audience and possibly have to cancel the series when 90% of the audience is not in Japan.

Anyway, on a more positivie note.

Between my journey through Eorzia and my quest to complete Shadowbringers before Endwalker is released (on that front I need to do 4.1+ content, Shadowbringers, 5.1+ and spend some time getting the relic gear for my Dancer and starting a gladiator/paladin). I am returning to Terraria.

Now prior to the major update in April 2021, I had only ever played it as a more combat version of Minecraft. Never gone beyond the wall of flesh, touched any of the content in Hard Mode and never face the Moon Lord.

So last year I was furloughed (unfortunately, due to my employment status at the time, with only a small fraction of what I needed to survive) I started playing Terraria. I first played through on Journey Mode to get to hard mode. Found I enjoyed the game, but needed a bit more challenge (I know this is contrary to some of my comments earlier about difficulty, but I do enjoy some challenges here and there. Especially when I can Overpower them). So I started a run through the game on Normal difficulty (or whatever it is called).

So started a run through of the game that last around 3 to 4 months and around 250 hours. My disappointment was that I never beat the Moon Lord. Part of the reason I never beat him was I had a lack of Buff potions ready and partly because I had to beat the four pillars before I could face him again. This time around I plan to try and beat him. So that means a new character, a new world and another 250 hours.

And I am really looking forward to it.

If Atlus does manage to release another title on Steam before the end of the year it will be crazy.

3 titles in a calendar year and 4 in 18 months. With this type of support I expect Persona 6 day n date on Steam :sneaky:

Also SMTV a year after Switch release pls :evilblob:

I have to admit that nothing Relic has made since Dawn of War 2 has really resonated with me.
They only made CoH2 and DoWIII after that (if putting Space Marine aside).

CoH2 had many divisive mechanics, very MP focus and confusing DLCs.

DoWIII... less said about it, the better.

Yeah, relic need to do a lot of hard work to get me interested. I am not sure if a third RTS in CoH or DoW 4 would automatically get me to look at it. Especially when we have had interesting little games like Gladius and Mechanicus trying at least something a little different.

On the otherhand roll on Dark Tide. Loved Vermintide, I play Imperial Guard (I have a decent sized army fully painted and hell yeah I will be adding plastic Death Korps of Krieg to that army).

I actually like the fact that GW are fairly happy to licence their IP out, the games may be hit and miss. But when they do work the games are pretty cool. I am very tempted with Battlesector as well. The Sisters of Battle VR game really appeals to me. Plus there are probably more coming up I have completely missed.

Despite my pessimism earlier, not being a fan of the direction Persona has gradually taken. I would kill for Persona 1/Persona 2 Duology. Loved these so much back in my PS1 days (I am sure there is some nostalgia in there).

I would go a lot further for Vanillaware and more SMT.

I played quite a bit of CoH2 with friends myself and enjoyed it greatly, though by this point the population is somewhat dominated by (mostly Chinese) veterans that are pretty hard for us to beat, so we were eagerly waiting for CoH3 which should have more balanced population due to being a new game. Was never interested in the SP campaigns in CoH so I don't really care about that. The only campaigns in RTS that grabbed me were C&C, Starcraft and Halo Wars.

as i can speculate

Persona 6 will be one of those announcements, based on the fact that there's an unknown protag poster with "SECRET", as well as two posters showcasing two "SECRET" mainline games, and that there's a new white colour alongside the other Persona colours (very allike to how red was there for P5 when that happened)
Probably some Persona remake, 1-3, considering there's only one new protag poster for P6, yet two posters for two secret mainline games. Not a spinoff, probably a remake of 1-3 then.
PC ports are pretty much a guarantee at this point
idk the rest
