At least you guys are making me feel not so bad for my low 22 games completed number. But that includes some open world games that should count as 3 :p
(and now someone jumps in to say they already completed 80 games).

Kao 2 ain't bad! It has some stuff that are outdated by today's standards but the port itself is well done, visually at least.
There are no graphic options outside of resolution but everything is clean and smooth AND is rock solid 60 FPS.
Pro-tip: Hold Jump (action button) to continuosly jump while standing still or moving; the ultimate kangaroo simulator!

But nah seriously the game looks nice

My current impressions of the game so far are summed up by these 2 GIFs

I've completed 14 games this year so far. I did manage to take out couple of older backlog games out of the list, but ultimately that list might as well be endless.
43 completed on my end ;D

if it makes you feel better - i completed like ... 2? maybe 3 :p
It does, so thank you :D

One day, I will look back and think to myself: If I only completed 22 games... why the hell I bought 100+ this year alone?? (with almost no bundles)

But today is not that day.... goes back to browse the wishlist to see what games are on sale.

I probably completed 10-12 games this year, but I have limited time and I usually play long games like VN and RPG and I tend to mess around a lot in the latter, add to those some mobile gaming (FGO and some other gacha) and I'm really slow with my games.

I played a lot of Barotrauma a few years back, on a much earlier build - it's great. I don't know how much it has changed, but from the trailer it's looking good.
yeah ... seriously can't wait to play that one ... looks great in the trailers!

I think the best way to describe it is - if you've been interested in the idea of Space Station 13, but it seems a little too far out of your league, Barotrauma is a good substitute.

I don't even care to finish games anymore. I've been playing Super Mario World 2 for the past two weeks. I've come to enjoy my backlog so much I'd hate to chip away at it.
That's the spirit. :p
As long as you're having fun, that's the important thing. ;)

I can't say I pressure myself in any way to finish games, or to clear my backlog.
If I'm not having fun, I have no problems dropping a game (even if I'm close to the end). But, if I'm having fun, I can take ages to finish a game.
It's a hobby, not a race. :smart-thinking-blob:

Oh jeez, half of the year gone :sweaty-blob:

Let's do this month too, yeah, last thread was a pretty active one, let's hope this one does that good too.
Looks like its up to a good start. I just wake up in the middle of the night, ‘ah, new thread, let’s post early’... and we are already on page 2.
You fuckers.

Whelp got the new job so it will be interesting to see how much time I have for games now. Honestly I'm more excited to start the job than all the upcoming games combined, but I still would like to have a little time for stuff like Quake 2 RTX and Trover Saves the Universe. Regardless I'll have more time this summer, before my next semester hits and I'm doing my job plus at least one of the few courses I need before graduating.

I'm very grateful to be in the rare position of being in school for a BS in CS and having a full software engineering job with great pay, 401K, medical, dental etc (dental, which I didn't have at all before, with 13 or so cavities and estimated >$10,000 work needed...)

has the usual 100$ steam wallet for 80$ been a thing in the last couple of summer sales?

Was Brigador good ? I think I have it in my hellish mass of a steam library :astonished-face:
Super great. Absolutely best of its kind of recent times (3/4 view vehicle action games). Perhaps the best cyberpunk game of recent times too.

Posting for new thread.

Edit: Getting buried in Anime gifs anyway. :steam_cleanseal:

This is extremely hype. There is not a ton of stuff in that setting that could be "tentacle-y". Mostly Mind Flayers come to my mind. However, in the D:OS games Voidwoken definitely have that look. And it looks like this time, Larian are on to the tricks people used before, the photoshop layers text says stuff like "Swen's Birthday Party". They are definitely trolling the fans.

Could they be hinting at a crossover? I'd be interested to see Larian's Divinity stuff crossover into Forgotten Realms. Why the heck not!

Note: Swen is the founder of Larian studios. His birthday was apparently yesterday.

Finished FFX after almost 2 years since I originally started it (I bought it, played the intro and never touched it again). Didn't knew what I was missing by not playing it earlier. Don't think I have any will left to start FFX-2 though, but awesome game nonetheless.

Started plague tale tonight just to see how well it runs. Turns out I can max it out at 1440p and outside of the intro (which I was told is the most intensive part of the game) it's a stable 60fps.

One question though. I found out how to disable chromatic aberration but I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on adjusting the other post processing effects in the engine file? I'm thinking vignette should be turned off too but I don't want to risk breaking anything lol.

It'll probably be more active than it used to!
After the Era meltdown I completely stopped browsing the PC thread over there and made an account here... and I know I'm not the only one.
And let's not forget all those banned members who've been politely forced to join meta!

Good to see some positive things about the Kao 2 remaster. I hope that they update the game to include proper graphics options and more.

Is it weird that I'll probably be disappointed if it turns out to be Divinity Original Sin 3 or Divinity3? No sane person should be disappointed in either of those games.

I'm at 33 games done now and 8 of those are Call of Duty games!
Actually same for me,I really do want it to be BG3. Sure I will still want to play it whatever it is.

Yeah this is pretty much the case for me as well. Though for people on my friends list maybe it looks like I only play R6 Siege all the time lol. It's not the case I promise!

My main mobile gacha is Girls' Frontline, and actually I've got 100% doll completion which puts me in the top 50 leaderboard for all of EN Server as well as furniture. I whale a lot in that game. :face-with-cold-sweat: I've been playing it since day-1 of EN launch. I would have been on JP server, but surprisingly EN came first and JP took forever to launch! GFL is known for it's really melancholy/edgy/dark storyline lol, and I do like that aspect a lot. It's also nice to have a gacha where the only gambling is for completely optional and purely cosmetic costumes. Everything essential is provided in-game and that makes it quite accessible.

Just today I restarted FGO, since I can't recover my old account, which sucks but whatever I really need all the tutorials again anyway lol. ... I think the last time I played FGO was late 2017, the latest banner included Jack and Nursery Rhyme. I maxed out both and definitely whaled a lot in that game as well. Too much in-fact which is why I initially quit. Now I've gone back to it with plans to be more modest in my spending though. Once I actually have some support units leveled I'll PM you my friend ID or whatever (honestly I forgot how all this works o_O) right now I'm just dead weight though so I haven't sent any friend requests.
