Nooo. I already put so many hours into completing all the campaigns in HD Edition. I don't even understand what Definitive Edition is and what it means for HD Edition owners, but I'm already upset.

HD Edition is basically a remaster ... Definitive are remakes

Kinda feel bad for EA and their origin access vault now. Gamepass puts it to shame. The 10$ a month gets you so much more than even the 15$ Origin premiere let alone the 5$ basic. And MS is so lenient with how the price just bounces around from 1$ to 10$ all the time. I wonder if competition heats up maybe EA lowers the price of premiere. Or at the very least they need to get in bed with more developers to get much newer games into their vault.

Also weird MS didn't do some 1 year deal for gamepass on PC factoring in the beta price. Something like 40-50$ would have been killer for a year. Probably a missed opportunity.

The subscription future is upon us now.

15$ per month for Premiere
10$ per month for Gamepass
10$ per month for Stadia
and tomorrow Ubisoft is surely gonna announce their rumored sub service too. Seeing how they got an assembly line for pumping out AAA games its prolly gonna be 10$ per month as well .

Where is my Sea of Thieves and Forza Steam pages fam

And a steam edition of Minecraft with workshop support. Phil Spencer pls.

I must be really dumb. I already extracted the files for the Steam UI but when I try to edit the shortcut with -newlib I get an error saying the name specified in the box is not valid.

At the very least, EA needs to do more to give people "hook" opportunities like MS with their $1 deals.

It also doesn't help honestly that EA has had a pretty damn mediocre generation,

so i have 10 months to get my PC up to snuff for 2077 :face-with-cold-sweat:
I think Cyberpunk is in a similar situation to Elden Ring, I wouldn't bet my money on those release dates. It may take longer to get to the desired end product, that in my opinion is the correct course of action. Give them time to deliver rounded up, deep and polished games. No rush, we have our backlogs in the meantime :D

But HD Edition is already perfect. Why did we need a remake too?
HD Edition has a couple of problems that were never fixed. It can get extremely laggy in late game and netcode / internet play is a mess with more than 4 players. Plus there's an extra campaign and four new civs - can't be mad to get those extras for $15.

ok, people ... you know the drill by now ... the Bethesda chat is live ;)

They IP-blocked people outside Japan right?
The JP version launched with no region lock at all, but 1 year after launch there was a DDoS attack to the servers, One of SEGA's responses to that was a region lock.
The lock lasted around 1 year, they ended removing the region lock for most countries except for a few Asian countries (which are still locked to this day).

It wouldnt be a Sega announcement without some idiocy.

What were they thinking.
Only SEGA could take a moment of triumph like this and make it so confusing.
I think it could be legal problems, since EU can be more restrictive in some things.

First there's the microtransactions, in the JP version there's a gacha system, paying real money to receive a random item from the gacha's list, which includes mostly clothes, cosmetic accessories, and a few minor stat related items (players can sell items they get from the gacha to other players for in-game money though).

Then there's the casino lobby, which includes playable slot machines, roulette and blackjack (everything with in-game currency only, but iirc Pokémon games had problems with stuff like slot machines in Europe in the past, right?)

So, I missed the Bethesda show. Has MachineGames or id or somebody made a new Commander Keen yet? And other than that, is there anything worth looking for? DeathLoop looks like a multiplayer focused shooter, so not interested in that if it is.

DeathLoop is a story driven game.

I missed all of Devolver's conference cos my internet cut out. :crying-face:

you haven't really missed much - if that helps :p

either they don't have any more big games (like Observation) ... or they're saving all of the higher-budget ones for the Epic Gaming Show
