I have the feeling you are saying I am oversimplifying and equating your personal Discord to a Meta one.
Or I have gone mad.

Bloodstained backers, if you have access to your fangamer survey and/or address confirmation you can find any digital codes you might have there.

They haven't emailed me mine yet, but I was able to get and redeem them on steam from that page.

Now I just relax and wait till tomorrow night to play.... stupid work...

I'm looking forward to trying out Bloodstained tomorrow night after work. I've been getting back into Hollow Knight and this game seems really good.

It wasn't after launch, they still patched the game a bit, and released added content, but earlier this year, indeed they closed doors. Management problems.
Most of the team remain together, and funded a new company, Artificer.
hmm interesting ,m but who are these guys with two games indev under similar name???
CreativeForge Games S.A.

Even read that these folks plan to outsource Hard West 2 CreativeForge Games To Publish Hard West 2 With External Development Team

I guess these SA are the management still going and Artificier are the devs?

WTF is this article of the top sellers (saw it on the Octopath hub)?

Meh, they always do something like this and attempt to make fun of everything that is in the top 10, unless it's a new entry that the author loves.

Anyway, I kinda agree that it would be better to wait with Cyberpunk, but not because I believe pre-ordering is evil and bad: what if Valve decides to make another promotion like the last Lunar Sale in the next few months?
I'm personally hoping to see just that :coffee-blob:

Any reason to hate on Steam it seems. I used to be like that, I used to talk shit and be generally negative about most things, then I realised that it just me hating myself and I was toxic as hell. Thankfully I changed and try to be a lot more positive. So where was I going with this... maybe RPS hates themselves for all that EPIC stuff that they are being toxic?XD

This is supposed to be a joke article or what? because if it's a joke, it's not funny by any means, IIRC RPS has been doing this articles for a while but I didn't remember them this bad(?) :/

Nah, this isn't Steam hate at all, it's just a poor attempt of making a funny article.

I never got so far in Oxygen Not Included that I never needed to learn how to do things properly, but I have a good game going now and I'm looking into how to do things and wow it's super complicated haha. Selfcoding a Wordpress site was easier!

So be better to play and then buy w/e package is on steam?
If you don't have to play it right now, it'd probably be best to wait until it goes free to play and see if you like the gameplay loop. Maybe Forsaken and its Annual Pass will be a little cheaper too by then. If neither of those are of major concern to you, yeah you can totally start now with the Complete Collection. Your progress will carry over to the Steam release.

Ah nice, I've been using the Google Opinions Rewards app for quick surveys and they pay a little, around 3€:ish per month to your PayPal and realised I could transfer that over to Steam! Slowly building little Summer Sale budget.:D

Yeah, that's basically it.
To quote a bit from memory, the company had some external investors. After a game didn't reach its sales goal, or was delayed, those external investors forced the CEO to step down. One of the developers was put in charge, but after a few months, he and the rest of the developers concluded that, with those investors on board, they would be unable to keep doing things as planned, so he quit, and the rest of the team left as well.
The actual company still exists, but all the staff left earlier this year.

I'm sure the company will still be around, and find external developers and subcontractors to release a game or two. Or, who knows, create a new team of developers in the future.
But currently, CreativeForge as a developing team no longer exists.

They all left, with most joining Artificer.
Artificer has signed a contract with publisher Good Shepherd Entertainment.

Thought so, has Artificer taken up the game at all, or is it basically dead in terms of support?
The developers released a pretty big patch before they left, so the game should be a lot better nowadays (I haven't tried it after the last update, so I couldn't tell you).

But no, the developers left, and are no longer working on the game.
Unless CreativeForge (who still exist, but are currently without internal developers) hire someone, or subcontract someone, to handle support for the game, I would say the game is fully done, in terms of support.

Preorder BAD
I fail to see what good pre-ordering a digital product that's 1 year away from release brings, I'd much rather use those funds to buy something that's available now and that deserves my attention and money.
I'm also hyped for CP2077 and, unless something tragic happens in the meantime, I'll be playing it on day 1, but buying a game 1 year before it's out is borderline madness.

blindrhythm and I are looking for a third for For The King.
I would love to play For The King. with you guys, but unfortunately, until mid-July I'm working until late hours, even during the weekends, so it will be hard finding time to do so until then. :(

I was a kickstarter backer, but barely played the game yet.

lemme know when we have a game night for UT2k4
Again, for another (almost a) month, it will be hard to find time to play it, but I would be totally up to that.
I love UT2004, it's one of the few FPS games I regularly played online, so I would be totally up for it (although I probably suck terribly now, considering it's been ages since I last played a FPS :giggle:).
If we can arrange for something next month, after my deadlines finish, you can count me in! ;)

I'm in university and money (and the Canadian economy lol) is volatile. If I have spending money now it doesn't mean I will in a year. I've been jobless since January because of school so I have barely any spending money but because I preordered KH3 (in 2013), DMCV, RE2, FFXIV Shadowbringers, and Sekiro last year I was able to play them at launch despite being broke. Plus every website I use for preorders offer refunds so its not like im really risking anything.

Also I preordered KH3 for $40 back in 2013 and games now cost $80 in CAD so no regrets there. I was going to buy these games at launch regardless so I dont really care what others think about how I go about it. Plus after Metro Exodus and Anno went EGS exclusive weeks from launch I'm perfectly okay with preordering way in advance.

Will anyone be making an OT for Bloodstained?

On a side note, it seems there are some secret codes to unlock some in-game items, apparently tied to the Clan selection when choosing your name for the credits placement (how great was it that I selected "no clan" :().
If anyone receives one of these codes, please share it, so that everyone has a chance to unlock these items. :)

People are different. Pre-purchasing games this far in advance is pretty much on the same line of paying 12 months of a subscription instead of paying month by month even if the discount is minimal or completely non-existent. Someone finds more appealing to pay little by little and use the service right away, others like to pay for 12 months in a moment when they're able to spend those money and then forget about it for a year, taking that load off their mind. I think it's advisable to avoid pre-ordering games if they're not refundable in case you find a better deal or the game turns out to be not what you expected but, on Steam, where pre-orders are refundable 14 days / 2 hours playtime after release, I don't really see what's the problem for those who want to do that.

Downunder.
I'm more offended about CP2077 preorder price, tbh.

I remember paying less than $50 AUD for either TW2 or TW3 with a preorder discount. How times has changed.

Well, I don't usually pre-order but sometimes I try to consider the possible releases on that moment of the year, for example, I already bought Doom and will probably buy Spyro this week, why? because September-November are graveyards that will be packed as heck, so now that I don't have to buy anything important it's easier to buy those now that wait and see what else releases. it's just a matter of time and money,

It only makes sense to pre-order if there is an incentive, for instance:
  • funding the development (which otherwise would have been cancelled),
  • a cheaper price (because of a pre-order discount, or because you do not pay in your local currency and are afraid of forex variations),
  • bonus for free (exclusive items, the game soundtrack, other games),
  • an early access to a build of the game,
  • the possibility (and the will) to give feedback to the dev, so that the released game better suits your tastes.
For Cyberpunk or Spyro, there is none of these points, except if you do not buy in your local currency.

Spyro will be released in 3 months, so it is not too serious.
Cyberpunk will be released in 10 months, in the best case, I think it is too long for a pre-order.

Psychonauts 2 has been funded in December 2015 / January 2016, and you can still pre-order it on Fig. Imagine paying for it in February 2016. In the best case, the game would be released in 2020. That is at paying at least 4 years in advance, just to get your name in the credits. Not worth it.

It's not about incentives but for personal sense, each one of us have a personal way of buying things and it makes sense sometimes to pre-order something that won't be available in months just to be sure that money won't be a problem at that very moment.

Littlewood launched on Early Access today, I believe. I backed this on Kickstarter and got my key last night. I think it's a one-person creation, which I'm always amazed by. I don't know if I'll spend much time with it in Early Access(I'd rather wait til it's done) but it looks cute.

So go back to play TW3. Somehow mods are broken. I go to refix, shit breaks even more. I don't even know what to do. I don't want to slog through it as I was just hoping I can continue to finish the game (as most the quests are boring and on DM combat still easy).

How do I fix this?

I wish Square Enix would release Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light on PC. :cautious:

They port a lot of FF titles, but that stylish spin-off is one of the few I would like to have on PC, but naturally, they didn't port it.

Ha! The joke's on RPS! I pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077 from GOG!
We're about to head into yet another restructuring at work so i pre-ordered in case it all goes tits up for me.
It's a complete joke to pre-order a game almost 1 year in advance.
I don't know what you guys are thinking.

That's why I'll pre-order my copy during the upcoming sale. :p
I'm just waiting, in case pre-orders drop sale cards (usually they don't, but just in case, I'll wait a few more days).

Seriously speaking, I may have to do some personal changes sooner or later (that may imply anything from changing jobs, moving to another town, and more), so I don't know how my financial situation will be in a few months. And since I currently have disposable funds to pre-order a couple of games I want, I'll probably pre-order them soon.
Doom Eternal and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 are probably the other two I'll also be pre-ordering.

Now. if Deep Silver and Ys Net would just hurry up, and provided refunds, I would be able to pay for all these purchases, and with plenty to spare. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I preordered Bloodlines 2 the second it showed up on Steam for a couple of reasons(show support to a non-EGS exclusive and a small developer making a sequel to one of my favorite games of all time, using a setting I love).

I haven't preordered Cyberpunk because well... it's not like CDPR is struggling financially, and they're releasing a guaranteed blockbuster which the entire planet is hyped for.

Uninstall/remove all mods and reinstall the game.

Depending on how long it has been since you last played it, it might be that the mods you have installed are outdated/not compatible with the current version of TW3. You'll have to install the updated mods (if the creators bothered to update them).

Back then it was still possible to receive Steam gifts from other regions. I think I paid like $20 for TW3,
