Bungie confirmed Destiny 2 for Steam on their livestream. But they said "Since we split from Activision we need a new home, or an epic partner" before confirming the Steam release.

Those who pre-order the Standard Edition will receive the Two-Tailed Fox Exotic Rocket Launcher and an exclusive Hive-themed ornament.

I don't think Bungie hates Valve, Epic, or Gearbox. They just didn't want another big name developer to be associated with the development of an IP that they created and were planning to work on for over 10 years.

Seems I only miss Dragon Divinty Commander, that is because special edition is never on sale. And I'm sucker for those.

If we go by how they did Forsaken, Shadowkeep Digital Deluxe will include Shadowkeep + Shadowkeep Annual Pass + A exclusive armor set. So you'll have access to all future content until September 2020.
However Forsaken had 2 extra versions. Legendary Edition (Includes Destiny 2 + Y1 DLC + Forsaken) and Complete Edition (Includes Destiny 2 + Y1 DLC + Forsaken + Forsaken Annual Pass + Exclusive Armor Set).

During the Stadia conference they confirmed anyone who bought the Stadia Starter Pack would get Destiny 2 Complete. Which includes EVERYTHING from launch. Including the upcoming Shadowkeep + Shadowkeep Annual Pass. So its likely we'll get this version available to purchase at launch.

TL;DR if you havent played Destiny 2 and want to get everything. Wait until September comes and see if theres a Legendary or Complete collection before you buy.
