Spread hope through the desolate kingdom and return the fallen Stars to their constellations in this social adventure game from the creators of Journey. Sky: Children of the Light will be released first on Apple devices in July 2019, with multi-format (Android, macOS, tvOS, PC and console) to follow.

really curious if thy will go the Flower route with release everywhere or the eggscloosie Jurney route with this one

Do you guys sell your emoticons and backgrounds as well?
I sell, or convert to gems (in the case of event (Summer Sale, Winter Sale, ...) emoticons/backgrounds, which usually give 100 gems each, but are sold for no more than 0,03€) most of my emoticons and backgrounds.

I basically have no use for emoticons, so I have no problem getting rid of all of them.
Regarding backgrounds, I keep the ones I really like, and sell or covert to gems the rest. I usually keep a small number of backgrounds, but I just noticed I currently have 52 backgrounds. :giggle:

Besides the sale badges, I don't believe I've crafted a badge for several years. I never really saw the point in doing it. You get a background you mostly don't use and some emoticons which you don't use. And you have to buy the missing cards to complete the sets..

But I've actually kept all the sale stuff I've actually accumulated over the years, so I've got like the very first summer sale background featuring Bioshock Infinity. It has slowly been rising in price over the years and I believe that when last time I checked it was going for €0.40-€0.50...

I have a Dreamfall: Chapters background that is worth $2.35. Of course, it's the only one I like so I won't sell it.

I craft badges for games I love. I know it's silly, but I sell most of my cards so it never costs me anything.

If I don't like them, sure, or turn them into gems. Only ones I keep no matter what are the special sale ones. Also since I change my profile background quite often I buy some. Not crafting many badges these days, there's really no point and even doing it during sales is meh because the sale cards lose value practically immediately while hoarded cards lose much of their value over time, better to sell them asap.

I think I want to re-buy a Switch. Which would be a stupid move before the new SKUs come out. And the switch display lottery looks to be a thing. And I'm not that interested in what releases on it (last glance was several months ago). And everything is overpriced as hell on it, I can't afford to buy games there. And it's a lousy handheld that failed to keep the same kind of production as her older sister.

I... think I want to re-buy a Switch.

I'm starting to see some of the issues with Octopath Traveler. It does feel pretty disjointed at this stage (I've gathered six out of eight party members).
Yeah, I don't know how I will react to this element of the game. A lot of people talk about it like a big downside but I genuinely loved the splintered team segment of FF6. But at the same time, it's FF6, one of the GOAT. Maybe the thing is just badly handled here.

I've never played FF6, how was it handled there?

Well, an event in the game forces the team to split in three parts, if memory serves. You then have to complete each team little separate adventure before they regroup somehow. On paper it could be annoying but you just lose one big plot and gain three charming little side adventures.

From what little I heard about Octopath the experience is a lot more repetitive. Not certain but I think I even read that the last boss must be beaten multiple times ? I hope I'm wrong here.

Glad I'm keeping my Switch. Though if I were you, I'd hold on until the new Switch is announced so probably the og one will get a price reduction. Or at least they'll get much cheaper in 2nd hand market.

I didn’t like the first cycle through the characters much at all, the 2nd cycle had great gameplay (more challenge due to the level jump and more abilities if I recall from playing the Switch version at release).

I just can't get that fucking windows update for the new xbox store to install.
Always getting slower and slower in progress until it's eventually stuck at 99%.
Tried several workarounds and none work.

Just download 1903 iso and then install it.

Have you tried using the link I posted pages ago?

1.5 weeks til Steam Summer Sale
The new Monthly goes up during the 2nd week of the Summer Sale btw, so don't rush to buy stuff

After that...well July has some neat games but nothing eventful.
Evo 2019 is early august, Gamescom is Late August, September has TGS
15 weeks? I don't think the summer sale is popping off in mid October.
I managed to hold myself to $8 so far in the gog sale, I'm hoping my steambucks can be stretched just as far.

Funny, I hated that part in FF6 and it's one of the reasons why I rank it amongst the worst

Thanks. How reliable is the date? How is it extracted? madjoki

Was the deal for Auto Chess done on June 6th?

Is there any website to check regional pricing?

EpicData had regional pricing, but they removed for whatever reason.

Dates are from epics graphql as is: (which is what powers their website)

Is it true that Outer Worlds is only coming to XBox gamepass but not PC?

A6jWAIp.jpg
I'm pretty sure that's just what the Microsoft store says for everything (You can look at Gears 5 and it will say the same thing but that is 100% on PC Game Pass.) In fact if you have the PC Pass you can technically install it right now but its just 10 MB and they tell you to come back later if you click play. Could be wrong of course.

That is what I do. Sometimes, I even craft badges in the hope to get a lucky roll (an expensive emoticon or background) in order to sell it. The cost to craft a badge should be about 0.40€.I don't know the odds for uncommon and rare items, I assume they are 20% and 10% respectively. With these, I can try to select and play with the slot machines rigged in my favour. So far, it does not look profitable because 1) I don't know the exact odds, so I may be over-estimating the expected value, and 2) there is a badge level cap and it is low, so I only get 5 tries, and expected value might not make much sense here. I will probably stop doing that if I don't get lucky soon.

Ah right. I completely forgot that you can actually install the 10MB files of The Outer Worlds.

Thanks, crisis averted. :coffee-blob:

I go through this from time to time, but I’m pretty sure I’m not going to act on it.

Original Crash Team Racing holds up well. I played my PAL copy via ePSXe emu with a decent gfx plugin that cleaned up the visuals quite well. The warping effect is still there but I fudged up my Retroarch PS1 settings and I don't remember how to fix them :V
I managed to beat it in 2 days or so as the main campaign is rather short and I can beat it much faster thanks to my exerpeince playing these kind of games over the past decade~

I hope the PC version of the new one doesnt take long

Well I played games for once! And I had fun. Mostly.

-Finished Steamworld Quest.
Yep, it was very good from start to finish, with a constant dribble of new cards to play with. Now if the next one had slightly more inspired level design that would be nice, as it's definitely the weak point of the game; it's varied but pretty damn flat.
It look me 15h, decent enough for the price, but it also does have great replayability, each character has multiple builds available, and they combo nicely with various others. Very interesting combat system, even if upgrading cards with dropped materials is way, way too grindy (but extremely minor).

-Dropped Kao the Kangaroo 2.
I know, it was free, and it's one of those small mascot platformers.
But it's just not very good at all, the controls in particular are just sluggish, Kao is slow as mollasses to turn around, and it gets worse with the occasional stage playing something else. It's the controller equivalent of a keybaord turner, and it feels like shit.
Collisions are mighty imprecise too.
But for me the biggest issue is that lack of identity: you play a kangaroo... and you have generic forest, generic ice world, generic mine cart in lava... it's fermented levels with linear and bland level design, lacking in... anything really... it's pretty much boring and sin ce it doesn't play very well, it's not the awful voice acting (horrendous, even by low budget games from the mid 2000's) that will help the story to carry the game.

Thing is, there's another cute platformer with a marsupial, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger.
And it's way, way better, both in levels, controls, but also flavor: it has atoll beaches, deep jungles, islands chains with active volcanoes (instead of just a random mine cart segment), but also a nice outback theme to multiple levels.
Much more of an identity, and a bit more open too (to a fault later on in the series)
