I adored Akira's manga and I have to say the movie has become a hard watch for me because of it. It's missing so much, from the nuances to the plot. You're not alone . It's still an absolutely incredible film but I can't say I've found myself rewatching it a lot.Akira, the movie, cuts way too much out from the graphic novel. Like I had no idea how much until I actually read Akira, the manga. Its FAR FAR better. I don't think I'll ever rewatch the film at this point. One Punch man's manga was better. And so on and so on.
I'm sure this is true of most Anime based off of graphic novels/manga. Same issue with comic book movies/tv shows. I think I'm a sucker for the written word and illustrated picture + word.

Since we're making Souls-related controversial statements, let me pitch in: The absolute worst part of any Souls game is the boss battles.
I agree when it is a boss with a bonfire that is decently far. Just let me start againSince we're making Souls-related controversial statements, let me pitch in: The absolute worst part of any Souls game is the boss battles.

Damn. You win.Since we're making Souls-related controversial statements, let me pitch in: The absolute worst part of any Souls game is the boss battles.
Dude...I own Dark Souls 1+2+3 on steam, Demon Souls on PS3 and Bloodbourne on PS4, never played any of them!
Brofist !Since we're making Souls-related controversial statements, let me pitch in: The absolute worst part of any Souls game is the boss battles.
Why would you keep buying into a series you haven't played?I own Dark Souls 1+2+3 on steam, Demon Souls on PS3 and Bloodbourne on PS4, never played any of them!
I completely agree, but articulating why would kind of be raining on the BB anoucement parade. I'm just glad for people to get this game on PC .Since we're making Souls-related controversial statements, let me pitch in: The absolute worst part of any Souls game is the boss battles.
Because the next one could be the one I like? Why would you keep buying into a series you haven't played?
That loss of time hurts, I feel you. This is pretty much the same experience we had with sea of thieves two months ago. But with the addition that forming a group over pc game pass was unnecessary uncomfortable and didn't work half of the time.
Never touched it again after a "wasted" weekend.
Bah, I'm a child of the 80's, saw the emergence of France fascination with Japanese pop culture, so of fucking course, in theory, I love anime.I'm here to say that I'm not super into Anime and that's OK!
I've seen the Ghbili movies, some of the other big ones, One punch man. Great stuff.
I'm gonna piss most of you off right now, so scroll down.

(Yes I saw your name and yes it was good)
And his Hellblazer run. His Hitman run looks nice too. But yeah, Garth Ennis 'moment' looks to be firmly in the past.On the subject of written/illustrated works vs their animated counterparts, 'The Boys' sucks harder than the try hard graphic novel. I said it. Garth Ennis is great for preacher but 'The Boys' is just that side of empty crassness that he later when all in on with the nasty (in a bad way) and nihilistic 'Crossed' series.
Hmm, as far as I'm concerned it is already confirmed. Thanks to Mor .How many months will pass before Bloodborne is confirmed for PC is the question.

Turok 1 is good, but I hate getting lost in it since it makes me lose interest :SI finally played and finished Turok.
Took me a while to get to it.
And I really, really enjoyed it, way more than back in the day. Not being a technical mess and being able to see more than twenty centimetres in front of you helps a lot.
The levels are very, very large (especially for the time, damn) without being labyrinthine and annoying, they hide a lot of secrets and plenty of powerful ammo (and the hidden weapon parts end up making one of the strongest weapons in the genre, too bad it's last boss-only without cheats), Turok is lightning fast and super fun to play as, the ennemies are numerous and offer decent variety with crazy good animations for the 90's.
It just feels good, and despite the extremely limited color palette and number of assets available, all the levels are very different with plenty of verticality and their own little gimmicks.
There's AI trouble here and there and some collisions issues on some objects, but it's pretty minor.
Weirdly enough, it's maybe a rare case of a game being better today than 20 years ago.
It's very well designed, and was held back by the hardware of the time; and it's now an excellent FPS with very welcome complex level design and fast gameplay without being annoying and slow with poor controls.
The worst thing about it is that Turok 2 is not nearly as good, and we never got more great Turok games.
I don't really want to jump in the sequel's frustrating non linear levels, even with the remaster's extra markings showing you the way (it's funny how the dreaded map markers ares still not enough in this one ).
The original remastered. The 2008 reboot is... not very good.Line the original or the rebooted one?
With the map, it's honestly not too complicated. I had no issue finding all keys and all chronoscepter pieces with no need for a guide. A couple could be a bit annoying, but if you"re thorough, finishing the game is very doable without much difficulty. The levels are fairly linear ultimately, as long as you don't take teleporters and explore before that, it's fine... and you can go back anyway.Turok 1 is good, but I hate getting lost in it since it makes me lose interest :S
I am not sony so I cant confirm anything, I'm a third party entity here and can only talk for myselfHmm, as far as I'm concerned it is already confirmed. Thanks to Mor .
The rest is just the usual "waiting for the PC port" game, that I'm already used to.
I've been liking the boss battles less with the newer games.Since we're making Souls-related controversial statements, let me pitch in: The absolute worst part of any Souls game is the boss battles.
They've also started adding fake-outs where animations have similar wind-ups but different outcomes with only minute differences in DS3.I've been liking the boss battles less with the newer games.
Mainly because I wanted to use slow-but-powerful weapons, but regular enemies and bosses just get faster and faster. Dark Souls 3 was an exercise in frustration and at one point I just started summoning help for every boss.
Me too and I felt zero shame in doing it. I played the Sister Friede battle with three summons (one NPC, two human players). Zero fucks given.I've been liking the boss battles less with the newer games.

I will certainly agree with this. The thing I hate the most about recent Souls bosses is the multiple phases and health bars. I'm fine with the boss changing tactics and gaining new moves after a certain health threshold but show me the full health bar right from the start.
Imagine playing a Dark Souls game without the Balder Side Sword and its brethrenI've been liking the boss battles less with the newer games.
