It's Valve's system. For an unknown reason every 10-20 games the system gets stuck with one particular ID and the launch doesn't happen, it's funny but the result is that game is spamming such information as the process enters on an endless loop until it's fixed.
Yeah, it would be great if it had some back buttons. I really like the feel of the face buttons and d-pad on the SN30Pro+ though.Got my SN30 Pro+ yesterday and like it. Will probably be the controller I use going forward when I want/need a controller even if I am not a fan of the stick layout and I miss the backpaddles of the Steam Controller. Also kinda wish they printed the button letters on the buttons themselves instead of next to them even if it would've broke the Gameboy aesthetic. Now I have to wire my brain "No, this is Nintendo. It is the other way around here. Oh, but I am using it on my PC so it is the other way around than on the controller" instead of being able to switch the buttons around.
Even if I don't use it much anymore I have been looking into the DS4 back button attachement... if it were available anywhere. The moments in which they are useful are countless.Yeah, it would be great if it had some back buttons. I really like the feel of the face buttons and d-pad on the SN30Pro+ though.
Currently, I use that for most 2D games where the D-pad is a great advantage, and where you usually don't need that many buttons anyway.
I use the Steam controller for almost all 3D games, due to the much better camera control and extra back buttons.
I feel the same way.To be honest I don't much care for Bloodborne itself, I've finished all three Dark Souls games but they're not among my favorites. I am interested in these announcements mainly because of the positive impact on the PC platform. Having access to as many games as possible, including those by Microsoft and Sony, is a huge boon for PC gaming and it will no doubt bring in more people to the platform.
Welcome! This is definitively a good place to talk about anything PC-related . We also have many anime enthusiasts here, notably Lashman. He's been on the lookout for some moe since Clannad ended.Hi everyone, Jim here. This is my second post here on MC. Just want to come in and say hi. A few of you may know me back on Era or other places. This place will probably become my home for pc gaming discussion in the future. I am also an anime lover and have a switch and several other past gen consoles so we can talk about those as well. Anyway, look forward to chat with you all!

Oh god not more anime...
Thanks for the warm welcome! I can totally understand why someone would hate anime though so that's fine by me!Welcome anime lover
There are a bunch of anime haters. But they still love anime lovers
Hmm, the last moe anime I have watched... Maybe Bofuri? If we are talking about moe shows that are more notable, I would totally recommend Yuru Camp. Fantastic show.Welcome! Hi fantomena. I don't know why but somehow you are on my friend list on steam lol. In the past year I mainly play on Switch and did not touch my gaming PC at all (did not bring it aboard). Now I am temporary back to hometown due to covid19, I will put more time into PC gaming even though I am currently progressing through Tokyo Mirage Session and Dead Cells on switch. Look forward to the new batch of Humble Choice today as well as the upcoming summer sale to add more games into the backlogHi!
The forum is PC centric, but we do talk about consoles here too. Many people own console(s) here so no need to worry about wanting to discuss consoles too. I personally own a Switch, PS4 and Xbox One despite that I mainly play on PC.
No worries, I don't like bad anime (looking at you, Nekopara).
You're in the right thread, then.I am also an anime lover
Wait.No worries, I don't like bad anime (looking at you, Nekopara).
I think that's a reasonable prediction. I could see about 1 mil sales during the first week and the unfortunate technical issues that were never patched mean that the PC version holds appeal for not only Xbox and PC gamers but also the PS4 community. That's a pretty likely outcome in my opinion.Prediction: Bloodborne will sell masively on PC as long as it is released on Steam. Tons of people who has played it on PS4 will double dip. I guess I can even say that a lot of people who played the game on PS4 are PC gamers who don't want to play it on PS4. Im one of them. I have finished the game 3 times on PS4, but I don't want to play it there.
I was worried downsampling would make it too 'modern' but no, it's really good here.Just run them on RetroArch's Beetle HW core with downsampling and CRT filters. and they will look as good as ever!
I love Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. Such a masterpiece.
I actually rewatched it yesterday! Probably the Miyazaki film with the most fire and heart in it. Have you read the manga? It takes it... places.I love Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. Such a masterpiece.
You're in the right thread, then.
Absolutely. There's 0 doubt in my mind that it would sell millions on Steam, Dark Souls is the single most profitable modern Japanese franchise on the platform after all.Prediction: Bloodborne will sell masively on PC as long as it is released on Steam.
I usually despise CA, but I thought that Bloodborne actually used it to really good effect due to the overall art design and world, where there was a reason for things to look unreal/dreamlike. Still, it would be nice to be able to turn it off. Running on PC with better/stable framerate would be glorious.I hope the Bloodborne rumors are true. I tried two times to play it on my PS4 already and I just couldn't force myself to keep going. The frame pacing was so bad and jesus christ all the flickering and chromatic aberration was sickening.
I now there are some ugly ass spiders later in the game I hope I can overcome my arachnophobia
Oh, I haven't. I will grab it once back to Japan.I actually rewatched it yesterday! Probably the Miyazaki film with the most fire and heart in it. Have you read the manga? It takes it... places.

I am strongly opposed to and dislike the core design of Souls games, so know you aren't alone. However as long as I'm left alone and their design ethos aren't forced on me, I'm happy to see people feel such joy at something. I can't get mad at someone for being happy and rejoicing .I'm going to make a controversial statement: Souls-likes bore me. I own every DS there is and still haven't finished a single one of them. Sekiro is basically the only modern From game I didn't drop after a couple of hours.
With that being said, I'm gonna buy Bloodborne, just for the sake of having an entire collection.
Not really controversial, I can totally see how they'd be boring to someone. They're slow burn games for the most part, with awesome art, level design and character customization, some great boss fights alongside some incredibly frustrating ones, an awesome soundtrack and an impossible lore to comprehendI'm going to make a controversial statement: Souls-likes bore me. It's pretty funny because everything you said applies nearly perfectly to my experience with MHW and I think you worded it really well. I just don't feel the same way about DS, but most of my qualms revolve around tedium and bosses. I think someone's opinion and enjoyment of From games is going to hinge massively on how one feels about repetition.I mean, I don't think that's controversial, it's an opinion. Basically every single cinematic AAA(A) action game bores me, but those sell in the millions so clearly people have different opinions on them
Dark Souls games (all 3 of them) are very exciting to explore for me for many reasons, but what it really boils down to I think is that they put a different relative value on various game design aspects compared to most games being released in a similar genre, or with similar production values. This has been slightly mitigated by the impact the Souls' series popularity has had on other games, of course, but it's still quite obvious when you play them.
I just feel much more involved in a game if I know it expects me to actually be careful, discover things (even mechanics!) on my own, and maybe fail sometimes than when it mostly does away with all of that to varying degrees.
Stop reminding me the price mistake I missed.22k on Sea of Thieves on Steam. It peaked at around 10k on release date.
Also Life is Strange games (except 2) are on GOG. Guess I'm rebuying them~Total Annihilation: Commander Pack

Thanks for the welcome. I will check out those threads soon!
I absolutely prefer games with design sensibilities similar to Dark Souls myself, it's just that for whatever reason DS itself never clicked with me. I think the main reason behind it is its narrative design and overall game loop, Sekiro with its emphasis on stealth and more traditional narrative structure works much better for me.I mean, I don't think that's controversial, it's an opinion. Metal has no boundaries. Its appreciation is within all people of all backgrounds, regardless of origins.

This is pretty much the same experience we had with sea of thieves two months ago. But with the addition that forming a group over pc game pass was unnecessary uncomfortable and didn't work half of the time. All you new Sea of Thieves players, prepare for pain.
So you and a crew of close buds want to tackle a tall tale? Great! These quests are fun and involve partially randomly generated elements and usually take an hour to complete.
Oh wait, that's IF YOU FUCKING COMPLETE IT! Oh yeah, you can totally lose 40 minutes of work no problem if you get boarded by a group of caffeinated 12 year olds. Needless to say, this caused a bit of frustration to myself and two other crewmates. So much so that we ditched tall tales for one of our weekly sessions.
But wait! Rare heard our pleas! Now tall tales have checkpoints!!! Nice.
Except they still find a way to fuck you over hard. Spend too long on beach waiting for your brother to stop dicking around on the rowboat after the ship sinks and you die? QUEST FAILED MOTHERFUCKER. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME SUCKER. Now its 12:15 am, my crewmates have been hitting the rl 'grog' and every puzzle we solved? Not useful.
So, tonight its State of Decay 2 and Gears of War 5. As two of them are new to state of decay, I expect crying and gnashing of the teeth within a half an hour.
