Miyazaki doesn't like anything otaku and unsurprisingly has a negative view of a seiyuu industry as a byproduct of that hyper-animeish culture. He also doesn't like animators who only draw things from the anime. However, Anno delivered one of the most stiff performances I've heard in anime, not sure it was the best decision.Ni no Kuni also comes to mind for me. The Japanese version didn't feel nearly as good and alive as the English dub. Furthermore, I would argue that typical Japanese VAs have a style that is starting to be a little tired for me. It's always the same thing and I cherish the few movies where they actually talk like people.
I do recall Miyazaki making that same point in The Wind Rises when he went to Anno. That or he was bullshitting to get his old protege to VA for him.

I don't think seiyuus are that limited, just look at Yakuza games and compare them with some harem anime. The problem is, the product itself is much more homogenised these days.
So how likely is it that we will actually get a surprise drop today?
I mean given the amount of "PC/PS5" announcements that seems quite likely.Lots of reports going around that Sony is moneyhatting timed exclusives left and right.
BTW, my name is Kyougar and I am an idiot.
For months I have thought about getting back into FF14 but didn't want to pay 40€ for the expansion. I was checking the shop page today and saw that I have the expansion, checking my purchase history, I had bought it on the Winter Sale half a year ago for 60% off...
god job, lol![]()

There really isn't any reason to release a game with any decent budget (which all of these are) on PS5 and PC but not XSX other than some external incentive (i.e. either straight cash or significant co-marketing in return for timed exclusivity).
All in, we showed about 13 titles that are launching exclusively on PlayStation 5. And those exclusive arrangements range from a few months to a couple of years. You saw some great titles: Godfall from Gearbox, Death Loop from Bethesda, Project Athia from Square Enix…
well dah its a port of 2012's Vita port of 2008's ps2 game ,and its not remasterI also can't wait for more people to find out how bad the PC port ofPersona 4 is.
Now enjoy Shadowbringer.BTW, my name is Kyougar and I am an idiot.

What did he do ?As for Miyazaki, in my eyes he is an abuser
It's funny their tag line is "play has no limits" while Sony limiting how many people can play these games.![]()

There has been some talk from people who could know who had heard that P4G might not be the only thing Atlus has on the PC show. Not P3 mind you, but other things. I guess we'll see soon enough.
In the true timeline this is a tweet with hundred of thousands of likes. It's funny their tag line is "play has no limits" while Sony limiting how many people can play these games.
The Steam launch of Satisfactory has apparently been "super successfull", sales numbers will be reported later.
All of Atlus back catalog there today ! Atlus porting Bloodborne ! Atlus making PC 2 !

Nice, hope you all who got it are enjoying it![]()
More success story like this will only justify EGS exclusive, won't it?
There seems to be no more backlash to the devs unlike the early days either. So most of them will definitely seal the deal with Epic given the chance. Because on top of exclusivity cash, they will still find a success on Steam later.
What did he do ?![]()
Finish Factorio first. :troll:I still haven't bought Satisfactory.

If you want ugly PC cases, then Alienware will never let you downWhy PC3? Let's follow a trend setter, PC5, someone please, bring an ugliest pic of PC case you can find.

I'm not sure that the coffers won't ever close. I would rather see the practice of exclusive become toxic to brands, hence the longest boycott possible. Whatever they might decide to tell themselves and others publicly about the moneyhat being wise in retrospect, I'm pretty sure they would know exactly what happened. But how long will Epic's coffers remain open? Epic isn't some charity for greedy devs/pubs to have your cake and eat it too.
And for many devs they will only have one chance, their game isn't good enough or matter enough to have a "real" launch on Steam a year later and be a success story.

As others pointed out on the threads, there are points to be made both for and against buying the game on Steam. I lean more in the direction of making developers think twice about Exclusivity and being reasonably vocal about it so they know where the low sales are coming from but I can see the perspective of tremendous reception on Steam making their time on EGS deafeningly silent by comparison.
It might make them wonder. "What if we hadn't waited a year, when the game was really new? How many sales did we loose to people loosing interest?"

I don't want to ruin it for you, but I can imagine a scenario where there is a surprise drop on PC today and another drop of the same game later in 2020.
Are you talking about the convo that started on a legitimately video game topic and logically drifted away ? Posted on a thread where everything but Steam is discussed on a daily basis ?I don't want to go too off-topic, there was enough of that yesterday and sorry about that.
Very fair criticism. I was more on the grumpy old man image, but the picture you paint is... scarily probable.Just to answer the question : it's hard to put into words. He's insanely harsh, verbally abusive with people and working at Ghibli under him has a reputation for being insanely good experience, but also a place where you get the hell out of as soon as you can. He seems to me like he has long ago crossed the line between criticism of the art and abuse of the artist.
The things caught on camera were bad enough, I shudder to think what he told animators privately.
