Damn, mixed reviews for Torchlight III. Turns out that it's online only, what a bummer.

Turns out early access was just the MP portion, with single player offline portion coming out later. Servers predictably exploded, people couldn't play, cue bad reviews.

It was sitting at mostly negative when I checked, so I guess some of the server issues have subsided a bit if it's back at mixed. I'll keep an eye out for the future. I don't want to be Wolcen'd again.

Looks like ATLUS JP was involved in the port.
Overall doesn't this also hint at them bringing this to consoles as well, maybe not for PS4 since the PS5 is about to come out.

With Bayonetta and Vanquish they released those for consoles years after PC as a bundle pack. They might do that again.

LIS2’s episodes had pretty large gaps between release and it seems like it really hurt it in terms of attention so not surprising to see them move to a one and done release format.
Tell Me Why is episodic ;)

granted - there are only 3 episodes, and only 1 month apart (which means they're all pretty much already done ... if not done-done)

does everyone have their clothes pressed and diarrheas flushed and pizza pringles prepared for pc gamers to have their day tomorrow? ಡ ͜ ʖ ಡ
No. Cat gave me diarrheas in her litter box, I returned the favor... That's what you get mittens!

In Persona 4 Golden PC news, is anyone actually dipping in again? Once the story is revealed..... The point of replaying is ahhhh

The early access thing for Torchlight 3 also says in its little spiel that it will wipe all accounts and character data prior to launching into retail release so that sounds like a huge No from me even if I wanted it for the time being

I already refunded because I couldn't play, My own fault, didn't think to check that anyone would be stupid enough use online only bullshit for early access,
I would have refunded even if playing was all good and it was perfect the second I saw a wipe was coming at some point.

So, I've been thinking about the lack of Yakuza at the PC Gaming Show and now I'm wondering if they're holding off until the Microsoft thing so they can announce Xbox+PC at the same time. I really hope they're not holding back the PC releases just because of the Xbox ones, though, because it's been over a year since Kiwami 2's PC release and it's not even out on Xbox yet...

I think that for P4 I will do English VA and then for NG+ I will do Japanese VA. Or is there a video comparison between the two that I can hear? One of the things I don't like about JPN VA in some games in how fast it can be at least and there are not always sub titles so you miss out on some stuff.

Do you have a non-standard (not 100%) DPI scaling set in Windows?
They might not correctly report DPI capability (like far too many games).
Ah, I already fixed it by setting it to fullscreen. After I re-open the game, the higher resolution options show up.

I use DSR for 1440p and 4K, but it's weird that even the native 1080p didn't show up at first.

I guess that this is something that ATLUS JPN will not be able to ignore as just a one off type of thing.

I already pre-ordered 13 Sentinels for PS4 (vanilla wear art books are great) and hopefully that makes it to PC at some point.

Pretty surprised by the lack of presence of another Atlus title as well as Yakuza. Maybe they are withholding announcements for New Game+ Expo 2020?
I don´t doubt we will have good news at ng+, there´s so many events to come that the announcements are probably all spread out, remember theres gamescon and some other things happening in august too.

Oh yeah, fingers crossed. Now that P4G is on steam and expected to achieve good numbers, the floodgate should be opened soon.

You shouldn't have to use DSR for this, it has built-in supersampling.
With only the in-game supersampling, will the screenshots generated as 4k or 1080p?

What I like about DSR is that it generates higher resolution screenshots, and not downscaled to my native 1080p.

I like that announcements are spread out now that E3 died

gives me time to breath and process everything smoothly
It's time to browse the recap site.

Does Persona games have individual stories or is it good to play all of the first games before?

Individual stories. They all take place in the same word but several years apart. Persona 4 makes a reference to Persona 3 at one point but it's just a subtle callback, nothing plot-important, spoilery, or anything. You wouldn't even notice it if you have no knowledge of P3.

Spin-offs however are a different story. Persona 4 Arena + its sequel Arena Ultimax are crossovers & canon sequels to both Persona 3 and Persona 4 and if you haven't played both beforehand it will spoil you on both games. They're also both really good and worth playing. Even though P4A's story mode is available in Ultimax as DLC.

I've encountered this problem in too many games lately.
Everyone is playing P4G and me:

The game is interesting, but won't it "only" include a couple of ships and chapter 1 for now?

Absolutely IMPRESSIVE!!!!! :triggerblob::triggerblob::triggerblob::cat-heart-blob:
Yeah, I wrote about the strange frame limiting behaviour if you disable V-sync in the game in my analysis.

I don't think you ever want to disable V-sync in this.

Also, it already has more than 1000 reviews. Pretty wild.
I hope Atlus is at least watching the money roll in for this. I know they haven't had the best of luck with multiplatform releases in the past (for example: what was the point of even releasing Catherine on Xbox 360?), but the landscape is different nowadays. They really need to get more games ported, and start moving towards multiplatform releases.

Only been half a day, already 3k+ reviews and it's still the global top seller :sweaty-blob: :sweaty-blob: :sweaty-blob:

I wonder just how accurately we can actually interpolate from the peak concurrent players for it, tbh. I re-bought it after playing it on Vita, but I have no intention of replaying it right away - and I'm sure I'm not alone. While, yeah, it was a Vita game - and not many people owned one - I gotta wonder how the sales breakdown is gonna look.

Yeah, those are the early access content with around 10-15 hours of gameplay at launch. Being a shipbreaking puzzle game, I am willing to reward the developer with this unique idea. The game has tons of potential to grow if received regular updates as well as love and care from developers (BBI), who have said they planned a tight update schedule. Participate in giving feedback to the developers also seem fun as the discord channel is enjoyable to read. Besides, the regional pricing at my place will probably slash the launch price (20 bucks) to half so it's not big an investment.

I remember reading a post from a publisher of "Yes your Grace", where he said it made a lot of money and was on track to sell 250k because it was in the top ten on the global top sellers for a while. I imagine P4G will sell more than that considering it's legacy and it's priced decently.

THE ABSOLUTE STATE OF STEAM 2020

As it should be :coffee-blob:

Played up to where you get your Persona and the game looks and runs like a dream. And it's still fantastic. All that style and the music :sweaty-blob:
But hell, I'm already playing Enderal and Final Fantasy 12 and there's a Steam seal in like 2 weeks where I planned on picking up some Atelier and :grimacing-face:
