I've never really looked into New Blood, they seem to have a great collection of games. I own Dusk which is really good but I was thinking of picking up Maximum Action as I love destruction physics in games.

do it! it's genuinely fantastic ... plus all the mods!![]()
There are people out there that still believe that concurrent numbers = number of copies sold. Smh.New peaks for this games (and right now)

Have you played any Dusk mods and if so, how are they compared to the full game? Ive finished Dusk, but yet to play any mods, wonder what's the quality between the full game and mods.
I love that Steam concurrent number for P4G is significantly higher than VITA sales.
Huh how much did P4G sold on Vita?I love that Steam concurrent number for P4G is significantly higher than VITA LTD sales for the game.
It will, probably.
Not too sure, but I think it sold 130,000 or so copies in its first week in Japan.Huh how much did P4G sold on Vita?
Yeah, all the UI could be significantly smaller for most PC use cases. That said, it felt a bit strange at the beginning but now I don't even really notice. At least it's high res.I wonder if it would be possible to mod P4G to reduce the size of the message box. It feels crazy big on a 27 inch monitor.
Same, it will be nice to see what all these teams Microsoft have bought will be doing. I think people will be surprised as they only know Microsoft as having a few exclusive games.Really looking forward to MS's showcase next month.
People do care about EA games on steam but most of them have been out for years, have bad regional pricing, require origin, and don’t support achievementsTorchlight III being on the top 10 seller of the week is impressive too, considering it's up around the same time as P4G.
It's also a sign that people don't really care about EA's games coming to Steam, especially with those ridiculous pricing.
Yeah, there are at least 3 games in the list I would have bought if they put a bit of effort in (i.e. divorced them from Origin and added achievements).People do care about EA games on steam but most of them have been out for years, have bad regional pricing, require origin, and don’t support achievements

So far, it feels like Microsoft has just been buying studios and any projects those studios had were put on as Console exclusive to try and appeal Microsoft's system. I do hope they actually make more unique games like the early 360 days but their track records hasn't been reassuring.Same, it will be nice to see what all these teams Microsoft have bought will be doing. P4G is already a Full Body style rerelease.Although now that P4G is on PC, a part of me kind of expects Atlus to do a Full Body-style rerelease/remake instead of just porting it to consoles...

Griftlands is out now in Early Access. Free demo as well.
Yeah I always wanted to play the game, fortunately. The day I want to reward a company just for the sake of it is the day you can put me downYou don't want to reward a company for releasing a game, especially one which crashes whenever people attempt to stream it.
If you are actually interested in playing the game, it is another story.
I wonder how much of a difference there would have been if Satisfactory was not a EGS exclusive. People purchased it there and it ended up selling over 500k copies from the sounds of it (but how long did that take again?). Those number would likely be higher but the user base is split up. Either way that should be plenty of people to be able to do online multiplayer stuff with.New peaks for this games (and right now)

I don't think that's the case. Or is that for some particular region? P4G ended up selling over 1 million copies on Vita (maybe even close to 1.5 million copies?, The only 2 other games on Vita that sold over 1 million that I am aware of are Dragon Quest Builders and Minecraft)I love that Steam concurrent number for P4G is significantly higher than VITA LTD sales for the game.
What does that mean? I'm completely lost as to what marketing is helping with. What's a real pain in the ass is now every console gamer now thinks maximum theoretical long term storage read bandwidth is the sole factor in LOD...
The power of marketing.
I mean they are also marketing EA Access and with that you wouldn't need to buy the game in order to play. That's what I'm waiting for.Torchlight III being on the top 10 seller of the week is impressive too, considering it's up around the same time as P4G.

I do hope that there is variety. Single player games are nice and all and do are multiple focused games. But hopefully they launch some new IPs with some interesting ideas that stick. They already announced some new IPs, which have gotten sort of mixed views by some people. That one Team Ninja game is liked by those whole played it but I don't think the game really took off. With the Obsidian Early Access game, people will like that game but it may not gather a very large following. Stuff like Ori was very well received but that takes time to make.Same, it will be nice to see what all these teams Microsoft have bought will be doing. I think people will be surprised as they only know Microsoft as having a few exclusive games.
That may not be the case. I'd it safe to assume that with Catherine that SEGA EU and ATLUS JPN just were not on the same page? With P4G it seems like they were more involved and that ATLUS USA (SEGA America as well?) also took part do it's not really the same with because with Catherine SEGA EU seemed to be the only pulling all the weight? So, not only is P4G still the top seller, it actually got a front page banner and the player count keeps rising.

I can't help but wonder what this means, realistically, in terms of what to expect now. P3 is already rumored and you would assume that P5R is a given. But are the spin-offs off the table? What about SMT? At this point I'm likely never hooking my PS3 back up to play them, so I wouldn't say no to Digital Devil Saga and the likes.

How is it?

Now that you say it, I remember doing exactly that when I played the PS2 version way back.Yeah, that's exactly it.
More precisely, the major, primary gameplay loop and challenge in the game is time management. You against the calendar.
Which in turn means that any player who wants to "succeed" at the game wants to maximize their time efficiency. Since dungeon visits take up in-game time, that means that you are incentivized by the core game mechanics to make your dungeon visits as long (and therefore few) as possible. In other words, the game mechanics actively reward you for making your own pacing and experience worse.
You can see that in terms of story and a few mechanics, this was not at all the intention. The game's story actually wants you to chip away at the dungeons over a longer time period, which would also result in more interesting and varied pacing.
I see at least two simple ways to overcome this, and neither of them really seem all that hard to implement:
- Make dungeon visits "free" in terms of time. There's a supernatural element there anyway, so story-wise it's not an issue. And it also doesn't really change the challenge in a practical way. It just removes the major incentive for self-made bad pacing.
- Introduce more obstacles in the dungeons which relate back and forth with real-world events. The previous option is more about removing the pull factor making people do extremely long dungeon visits, will this one actively forces them to do more individual ones.
Okay that makes a lot more sense. It's not helping, but marketing has bewildered a lot of console gamers into thinking LOD is driven by assets loading from long term storage. (it's not even a factor - an is unrelated to texture pop in)
If it's game pass people, they may have just gotten the game along with that and instead of them having to keep on paying for it, it may end up being cheaper in the long run just to buy the game and your save data does transfer over it would seem.I'm a bit surprised how well Sea of Thieves is doing on steam. Not only is it a relatively old game, you can pick up the Win Store Version for cheap and it is permanently available via Game Pass. I expected it to sell, but 63k concurrent seem to indicate that it is doing exceptionally well.
No matter how I put it, I only see one conclusion: Not releasing on Steam = leaving behind a lot of money. Unless most of the people who bought Sea of Thieves on Steam are people who double dipped.

I mean, what ist?must've been selling great on egs if they're willing to release it on a Sunday
Exo One has a very impressive demo with major thatgamecompany vibes. feels like a sci-fi cross between Flower and Journey
